Sportsline problem (1 Viewer)

Deranged Hermit

Not cool & Pissed
Hopefully someone else has had this problem and can steer me in the right direction to fix it.

I cannot access my sportsline account or the Sportsline site itself from home when I am logged in. The only thing that comes up is the top tool bar (says Hello John, has the player search, etc.) When I log out, the CBS site comes up instantly. This makes absolutely no sense to me as last week I could access the site from home fine and I can acess from work as well.

As usual the tech support is no help.

I am not having problems accessing my CBS site this morning.Try deleting cookies and temporary internet files via the browswer and then login and try accessing your page. If it still doesn't come up hit your Browser's refresh button to force the page to load. If that doesn't work then you got me.

I can access the CBS site fine from work, just not hom.I did that last night (deleting cookies and the like). I guess I could try refreshing multiple times.

do you have an ad blocker on (norton or anything else)? the ad may be blocked (usually the huge car ads that minimize after the page loads), thus preventing the rest of the page to come up. poor site design if that's the cause.

We use sportsline for our fantasy baseball league. Our live scoring was down all of last week. Apparantly, they upgraded it and didn't tell anyone. I don't know if that has anything to do with your logging in problem or not. Have you tried the help button at the top right of the page? There are a list of FAQs in there that may help you.

I had the same problem as well with both my football and baseball sites. I think the problem was Internet Explorer. I downloaded Navigator and the problem was rectified.

Try that. Hope it helps.

I do have pop up blocker, perhaps that is the problem.

Navigator?
Yeah. Netscape Navigtor. Now that I think about it, it's probably not called Navigator anymore. Sorry, I'm old school I guess. My point is use a different browser, be it Netscape or Mozilla or what have you.

Same for me....even more perplexing is my wireless connection at home can get on [albeit slow] but the desktop cannot get to gamecenter [for fantasy baseball] but will show my stats? :wall: Work works fine???

LOLActually firefox has gotten a lot better with handling the java in the sportsline pages. i used to have problems with it not updating but now it's actually a tad faster than IE. the firefox folks have made a nice improvement in the most recent releases.

Help files down?

I had a similar problem with my work PC when I tried to open it up in explorer. All it took was a simple change in the java and cookie settings like they suggested in the help files.

Using Mozilla, I never had any problems.

Yes, I know how to read the Help files. If they worked, than I wouldn't have posted this....
