QB: Vick 7 qb1, Newton 9 qb27, Orton ? qb28

RB: Blount 8 rb20, F. Jones 5 rb24, Scott 7 rb48, Choice 5 rb57

WR: Tampa Mike 8 wr15, Manningham 7 wr37, Moss 5 wr40, Owens ? wr54, Washington 6, TJ Housh 5

TE: Finley 8 te3, Lewis 9 te12

D: STL 5 d22, CAR 9 d27

K: Keading 6 pk3

Really don't know what to make of this team. Between usually heavy travel and bad draft breaks I made some poor choices that limited my option.

I really like Vick in this format. I wouldn't have taken Newton knowing the board at the time, but sent a list out way far in advance because of travelling. I didn't need Orton, but he was a steal where I drafted him. I'd like my roster better with either Helu or Evans instead of Newton. I don't know where to grade myself at QB. Probably somewhere between A- and B-. Newton will be playing and may have Tebow like games. Could end up with 3 starters here.

My other big mistake was taking Finley/Blount/Tampa Mike all in the first 4 rds sharing the same bye week. Once again I was traveling and time crunched so i didn't check the byes. I should have DWilly and Colsten rostered instead of the Tampa guys.

RB: Low end RB1 and a high end RB 2 with a good chunk of the Dallas running game covered. If Scott makes headway in Cinny I'll be looking good here. Right now I'd grade this a C.

WR: Average WR1, weak WR2, strong WR3 and three question marks. D+

TE: Finley and Lewis is a grade A+. Probably should have taken Lewis, just seem like good value there. In PDSL things fell perfectly for me at this spot, this draft it just didn't break the way I needed.

D: Got two. C-

K: Had to go solo to make up for the Orton pick. Jumped on Keading because of the SD offense and I had no one else with a week 6 bye at the time. Not a big deal in a survivor format with a short roster like this. Grade C-

I feel like I got between than average talent across the board but it just doesn't flow together. I would suspect that this team will start strong on of the gate and then struggle during the bye stretch especially if there are any injuries. If this was standard format with 16 teams I would really like this team as I could trade off depth at QB and TE to shore up other spots and work the ww to cover thin depth at RB/WR.

I will bet againstNot a bad team but Henne is pretty unlikey to help out Ryan save for a bye week and I don't think the WR are strong enough. And you would have been much better off with a second kicker over Gerhart IMO

- Wanted to see what would happen if I took 2 RBs early, as I usually don't. The results seem okay but unspectacular. Taking two early let me think about other positions but 4 RBs is probably too few. In hindsight, probably would be better off taking a risky RB like Choice, Hunter, Hightower, Rodgers or Jennings and only 1 kicker.

I kind of like this squad. a little weak at RB, but other than that and the bye weeks for WR 1-3 I don't see any glaring holes. Dalton is risky as a QB2, but at he should be a starter. If I make it through week the week 7 bye I should be pretty competitive down the stretch.

Really like most of this team. I think Best and Snelling were a little too risky for RB 2/3, Jennings could bail you out. One of the deepest WR corps around. Set at TE and QB.I think you got a little anxious at Def and could have upgraded elsewhere w/o losing ground at D by waiting longer.

I agree I should have waited a little longer on defense. I thought the usual 12-14 round D run was coming, but it never did.

I'll try to get some commentary on the remainder of the draft later.

provided my RB's pan out I am liking my chances here.

Well I guess that's one way of looking at it. Another way would be that he has a rookie WR as his #2 with likely a rookie QB throwing him the ball, a WR coming off serious injury as his #3 and 4 complete unknowns filling it out. Welker is the only stability in the whole set. I just came on to say how starting 3 WRs is required every week and valence said it best. IF he can survive week 7 is the question. His starting WRs will be the BEST 3 of Sanders/Benn/Hill and Damian Williams. I do really like the rest of the squad, but for obvious reasons, he waited til the 7th round for his wr2. Now some may knock my WRs but I have very little doubt Britt will be a supreme steal in the 5th round for me and I feel I landed an up and coming star in Jacoby Ford late. We shall see!

I like your team overall, except two problems.1. Only three RBs while neither your #2 or #3 are guaranteed to the the bellcow and your RB1 has injury concerns

2. Four rookies is taking on too much risk.

See I just do not like Britt at all. I try really hard to not draft talented but lazy players. Maybe that's a fatal flaw of mine, but I just think Damian Williams is going to end up the better value this year because of his work ethic. I do like Jacoby Ford a lot, but you just never know with that QB situation, whereas Sanders, Benn, and Hill all have much better QB's. Sanders will outproduce Ward this season imo.

QB

2.10 - MasterShake - Tom Brady - QB5 – NE (7)

18.10 - MasterShake – Christian Ponder – QB Min

similar to the route I took. Get a top QB and slough it until the end. Ponder should be the starter at some point but it does seem like Minnesota is interested in bringing in a veteran.

RB

1.07 - MasterShake - Maurice Jones Drew - RB7 – JAX (9)

6.10 - MasterShake - Joseph Addai - RB28 - IND (11)

7.07 - MasterShake - Ryan Williams - RB30 – ARI (6)

Only three may play a roll, especially if Addai and MJD get banged up again this year. I would have liked to see a late flyer taken here instead of Obamanu or Baldwin.

WR

3.07 - MasterShake - Miles Austin - WR13 - DAL (5)

15.07 - MasterShake - Devin Hester - WR77 - CHI (8)

16.10 - MasterShake - Ben Obomanu - WR – Sea (9)

Ok jeez more rookies. I don't like the Baldwin or Obomanu picks at all. Top two are great. I wouldn't be surprised to see a top 10-15 season from Holmes. WR3BC could be rough.

TE

5.07 - MasterShake - Brandon Pettigrew - TE8 – DET (9)

8.10 MasterShake - Greg Olsen - TE21 - CHI (8)

Pettigrew as a TE1 seems really shaky to me. Olsen is criminally underused in the Chicago offense.

13.07 - MasterShake - Mason Crosby - PK2 – GB (8)

14.10 - MasterShake - Jason Hanson - PK9 – DET (9)

With Crosby in tow I would have gone with a single kicker to get a 4th RB.

Def/Sp. Teams

12.10 - MasterShake - Houston Texans - DST16 - HOU (11)

17.07 - MasterShake - Cleveland Browns – Def (5)

woot! got two.
Good talent at all positions but depth could be a huge issue. Too many rookies imo; nearly 25% of your team. Extremely risky, but on the other hand if a couple of them (especially the WRs) hit then you will be looking pretty good.

2.01 - Duke1948 - Aaron Rodgers - QB2 - GB 8

15.16 - Duke1948 - Blaine Gabbert - QB31 - JAX 9

I didn't realize this many of us went with the stud QB\rookie starter strategy. I think Gabbert, while the most talent, has the biggest obstacle in his path to starting. The good news is you have 7 weeks until he needs to take over.

3.16 - Duke1948 - Ahmad Bradshaw - RB18 - NYG 7

8.01 - Duke1948 - Mikel LeShoure - RB33 - DET 9

10.16 Duke1948 - Reggie Bush - RB43 - NO ??

11.16 - Duke1948 - Montario Hardesty - RB50 - CLE 5

If Hardesty hits big and stays healthy this could be a nice. Bradshaw at the end of the 3rd seems like great value. Some injury risk here, but a ton of big game potential.

4.01 - Duke1948 - Anquan Boldin - WR18 - BAL 5

18.01 Duke1948- Vincent Brown - WR SD 6

For not taking a WR until the 4th, you ended up with a pretty solid squad here. Though if Steve Smith ends up in San Diego, you will have three receivers off in week 6. Meachem and Henderson are great picks in Survivor leagues because you don't have to pick their big weeks, which you know will happen at some point. Brown could contribute, but if they end up getting Smith, Brown might be a wasted pick.

1.16 - Duke1948 - Antonio Gates - TE1 - SD 6

holy moly.

13.16 - Duke1948 - Garrett Hartley - PK4 - NO 11

sure. Perhaps 1 K and add another WR.

12.01 - Duke1948 - New Orleans Saints - DST12 - NO 11

14.01 - Duke1948 - Cincinnati Bengals - DST21 - CIN 7

yep.

think it's an OK squad ....if I catch a break on some FA moves....who knows might be a connn--tender. :boxing:
After nailing down the best 1.16/2.01 turn ever, you did a great job of filling out your RBs and WRs with some steady performers and guysthat will have a few huge games here and there. Definitely a contender.

Well done Duke. Your 3/4 and 5/6 turns offered huge value. This team will be a tough out.

:2cents:

2.06 - Team Legacy - Drew Brees - QB3 - NO - 11

7.11 - Team Legacy - Kevin Kolb - QB23 - PHI - ?

Cant really go wrong with Brees and no way Kolb goes to a team with a week 11 bye week, so you should be okay here. This could turn out to be a real strong combo if Kolb emerges. I got burnt by Kolb in a couple leagues last year. I have some slight reservations about him because he really wasnt playing that well in preseason, etc prior to his injury. Hopefully he is the guy that we all saw play before that. This could be a top performing group.

1.11 - Team Legacy - Darren McFadden - RB9 - OAK - 8

6.06 - Team Legacy - Cedric Benson - RB27 - CIN - 7

9.11 - Team Legacy - Roy Helu - RB40 - WAS - 5

10.06- Team Legacy - Ryan Torain - RB44 - WAS - 5

Hmmm. Like McFaddens game when he is healthy. I just wonder with his knack for getting dinged if OAK lets Bush get away. Not sure I would if I were them. And if they dont, it could limit McFads touches a little as Bush can come in and steal a few drives. Getting Benson in the 6th seems like good value, but I think there is a reason he is falling in some of these things. Mentioned it earlier, but have just seen some talk from his agent and Cedric that he is looking for that one last payday. Guess I just dont like how that sounds when it comes to motivation. Almost like he wants to hurry up and get his signature on that last big contract and then put it on cruise control. I could be wrong, but I think motivation, etc has been an issue for him in the past. Whats nice though is that you backed up these two by probably securing the WAS running game. In some ways I think it kind of sucks to waste two picks on the same backfield. Almost committing to the fact that one of these guys wont score for you each week. I like Torains game more than others and I know the Helu hype is starting, but as with any Shanny running game, well have to wait and see. I bet this is a group that your are not totally comfortable with as you have a guy that gets dinged, another guy wanting his last deal and getting pushed by Scott, and a who knows what happens when the dust settles in WAS, but honestly you might be okay.

4.06 - Team Legacy - Stevie Johnson - WR20 - BUF - 7

5.11 - Team Legacy - Kenny Britt - WR26 - TEN - 6

8.06 - Team Legacy - Jacoby Ford - WR39 - OAK - 8

12.06 - Team Legacy - Mike Sims-Walker - WR63 - JAC - ?

13.11 - Team Legacy - Jacoby Jones - WR69 - HOU - 11

14.06 - Team Legacy - Mark Clayton - WR73 - STL - 5

15.11 - Team Legacy - Danario Alexander - WR79 - STL 5

If I put my personal opinions aside, I think you should be able to get 3 solid scores here. With Stevie I lean a little more to the one hit wonder side and Britt seems like trouble. Most of his production came in one game last year so Id like to see a little more consistency and wonder how a new QB will affect that run first team. Ford is a nice pick as they plan to get him more involved. Think the MSW pick might be a waste and hopefully it wasnt just a name recognition pick and you really think he has something left. I think I would have preferred an Amendola with that pick or a Simpson or Walter. But I really like what you did with the next 3 picks. I think those last three picks could save your bacon here and make this a pretty solid group each week.

3.11 - Team Legacy - Vernon Davis - TE5 - SF - 7

18.06 - Team Legacy - Michael Hoomanawanui - TE - STL 5

Cant argue with Davis. After that not sure. Would like to hear your thoughts on Hoo as it seems like you could have taken a look elsewhere with Kendricks in town. Maybe a Housler who looks like he has no competition in AZ or a Dressen or Scheffler. Scheffler had 45 catches last year even with a healthy Pettigrew in front of him. Not only did they draft a promising rookie TE, but McDaniels is in town and he could be a TE killer. TEs did nothing in DEN under him.

16.06 - Team Legacy - Jay Feely - PK16 - ARI - 6

11.11 Team Legacy - Chicago Bears - DST10 - CHI - 8

17.11 - Team Legacy - Arizona Cardinals - Def - 6

Will be interesting to see how the one kicker thing works for all the guys that tried it and your DST combo isnt too bad.

Overall: I like almost everything except the MSW pick. Brees is a great foundation, Bensons motivation will be a big factor, and even though I personally might not like your top two WRs I think it is a strong group overall. Davis solid at TE, some risk behind him and at PK. I like what you did here except for the MSW pick, I think that pick could have been one of the other WRs mentioned even though Amendola would have been a 3rd Ram, or actually looking back, a RB with that pick might have been better as I think your WR would be fine with only 6. Carter, Sproles, Woodhead, Goodson, Hunter, McGahee, Snelling might have looked good or even another kicker (not neccessarily with the 12th rounder, but adding another one at some point for coverage/options)as I just think MSW might struggle to find a job.

Good luck.

QB: Vick 7 qb1, Newton 9 qb27, Orton ? qb28
Hmmm...not a fan of the Vick/Newon combo. Vick is great, but you need to pair him with a more solid backup. Who knows what Cam will do and how much he'll play in 2011. A shortened season will help you here.
RB: Blount 8 rb20, F. Jones 5 rb24, Scott 7 rb48, Choice 5 rb57
Meh, okay. Nothing really stands out here. You need Felix to break out in order for this group to be above average.
WR: Tampa Mike 8 wr15, Manningham 7 wr37, Moss 5 wr40, Owens ? wr54, Washington 6, TJ Housh 5
I like the Owens and Washington picks. Not a huge fan of Manningham and S. Moss. this group should be about average.
TE: Finley 8 te3, Lewis 9 te12
Very nice, likely top 2 here.
D: STL 5 d22, CAR 9 d27

K: Keading 6 pk3
One PK is a mistake, but at least you drafted a stud.Overall not a terrible squad. You'll likely need QB/TE to carry your RBs, WRs and PK. Felix Jones and Santana Moss are pivotal players for you, although I'm not particularly high on either one.

4.14 - Steel Dillo - Joe Flacco - QB14 - BAL

6.14 - Steel Dillo - David Garrard - QB21 – JAX

Not a ton of pop here but looking back at your draft I think you played your first 3 picks the way you needed to so this would be the result at QB. Flacco should keep you in the mix. I worry about JAX finding out what they have in Gabbert sooner rather than later. Personally since you were on the end I think you almost needed to go back to back QB’s at 4/5 turn. So what that came down to was a decision between a more solid backup QB and a TE you like less than Daniels or Daniels and a shaky QB2 (Garrard). If Flacco was a little more explosive, I would have been ok with the route you chose, but with Flacco there will be weeks where you need your QB2 to step up. I would have preferred to pass on Daniels and snag one of the QB’s out there that doesn’t have a young rookie breathing down his neck. I think the Garrard experiment has run it’s course in JAX and they will be looking to breathe some life into that team by playing the rookie. Tebow might have been too risky for you but Sanchez, Cassel, or Fitzpatrick , heck even Campbell later might have worked. You still could have snagged a Hernandez or somebody later at TE to go with Watson who I think was a nice pick. Could be off base here but I would hate to be counting on Garrard heading into this year. I’m high on Tebow and thought that would have been a great combo with Flacco for you.

1.03 - Steel Dillo - Arian Foster - RB3 – HOU

2.14 - Steel Dillo - Matt Forte - RB14 – CHI

13.03 - Steel Dillo - Darren Sproles - RB52 - SD

17.03 - Steel Dillo - Ben Tate – RB64 - Hou

18.14 - Steel Dillo – Justin Forsett – RB68 – Sea

Foster was a no brainer and Forte is a solid compliment. The rest could help you get a decent score here or there. Sproles landing spot will be a factor. Decent group here.

3.03 - Steel Dillo - Vincent Jackson - WR10 - SD

7.03 - Steel Dillo - Mike Thomas - WR33 - JAX

9.03 Steel Dillo - James Jones - WR44 - GB

12.14 - Steel Dillo - Kevin Walter - WR67 - HOU

15.03 - Steel Dillo - Roscoe Parrish - WR75 – BUF

16.14 - Steel Dillo - David Gettis – WR86 – Car

VJ is a good start. We’ll see about the rest and you may struggle to post 3 solid scores on occasion. A Jones breakout somewhere would be huge for you. Thomas is a nice player but not a ton of pop at WR2 for you. I might have swung for the fences on one of the rooks instead with this pick or a Braylon Edwards or something.

5.03 - Steel Dillo - Owen Daniels - TE7 – HOU

8.14 Steel Dillo - Ben Watson - TE23 – CLE

I really like this combo. But as mentioned I might have liked a Hernandez/Watson combo almost as much if it would have upgraded your QB2. I think Watson is a little underrated right now so I Like that pick.

14.14 - Steel Dillo - Matt Bryant - PK12 - ATL

10.14 Steel Dillo - New York Jets - DST4 – NYJ

11.03 Steel Dillo - New York Giants - DST6 – NYG

Part of the solo parade at PK. Not a big fan of that myself as I think it is nice to have a couple options each week and not just be stuck with whatever Bryant gets you, which some weeks might be a couple of EP’s and your one zero week 8. It looks like you felt the need to add some depth at RB/WR instead. Two DST’s are money.

Overall: Like the top two RB’s and your TE/DST. Just have a feeling Garrard is going to let this team down and between him and your one PK you may get edged out on any given week.

4.11 - FUBAR - Josh Freeman - QB12 - TB (8)

7.06 - FUBAR - Colt McCoy - QB22 - CLE (5)

Looks like McCoy will be the guy so this combo aint too bad. CLE may not be a fantasy wasteland this year as there are some weapons there. Hillis can catch out of the backfield, Watson is solid and the WR crew has been upgraded with Little. Freeman looks like he is ready to establish himself and he has some weapons as well. Might be some potential for this guys to put up some big numbers as they try to keep pace with some tough teams in their divisions. Will need to ham and egg it week to week though for you to not be too far behind here to the big boys. Taking a chance on Kolb might have been a better option at QB2.

1.06 - FUBAR - LeSean "Shady" McCoy - RB6 - PHI (7)

3.06 - FUBAR - Ryan Mathews - RB15 - SD (6)

9.06 FUBAR - Michael Bush - RB38 - OAK (8)

17.06 - FUBAR - Bilal Powell - RB - NYJ (8)

I dont know what to make of Powell, seems like it might be hard for him to see the field. (Greene, LT, McKnight) IMO I would have liked to see maybe a Harrison or Ringer pick there. But now the good stuff, I like the top 3. Bush could end up being the steal of the draft in some of these things if he goes elsewhere. If he doesnt I see him having a bigger role than most think in OAK. Last two guys share a bye right now, another reason a flyer on one of the other guys at 17.06 might have been a good call.

2.11 - FUBAR - Greg Jennings - WR6 - GB (8)

5.06 - FUBAR - Percy Harvin - WR23 - MIN (9)

11.06 - FUBAR - Randy Moss - WR60 - FA (?)

12.11 - FUBAR - Donnie Avery - WR66 - STL (5)

13.06 - FUBAR - Jerome Simpson - WR68 - CIN (7)

18.11 - FUBAR - Mohammed Massaqui - WR - CLE (5)

Im not the biggest Harvin fan around, but I like what you did here. Simpson at 13.06 is just crazy value. How did he slip by 15 other guys. Kind of pride myself on not letting #### like that happen, but for the rest of us to let him fall is unreal. Like him better than Avery right now. Steal. Mass and Simpson are pretty solid 5/6 WR. Moss will make or break many teams. Nice job here.

6.11 - FUBAR - Jermaine Gresham - TE14 - CIN (7)

8.11 - FUBAR - Tony Moeaki - TE22 - KC (6)

Not much to say here, not the strongest group but not the weakest.

14.11 - FUBAR - Lawrence Tynes - PK10 - NYG (7)

16.11 - FUBAR - Adam Vinatieri - K - Indy (11)

10.11 - FUBAR - Green Bay Packers - DST3 - GB (8)

15.06 - FUBAR - Seattle Seahawks - DST24 - SEA (6)

This works.

Overall: If McCoy and Freeman can ham and egg it and Bush/Moss are productive this team could hang around. Would really like it if the Powell pick was a different guy that is one injury away from a prominent role.

Good luck.

ham and egg it?I honestly don't recall why I took Powell over Ringer. I know I considered Ringer at one point.FWIW, I have always liked McCoy and didn't want to take the risk of Kolb. although he almost certainly won't have a week 8 bye.

This group is just okay to me and I see some risk here, with not a terible amount of upside. Green is a rookie in what will likely be a bad offense, Welker has had recent trouble staying healthy, Smith is coming off injury. The rest of the WRs may not see targets on a consistent basis.

Interesting... I see upside with every WR with the exception of Welker. I have no doubt Green is going to be a stud out of the gate and If Dalton is as smart as I think he is, he will be throwing it to him a lot. I think Steve Smith is going to be fine. I'm not saying he gets 90+ catches again, but I definitely see 75-80. The Giant's offense sputtered when he went out and I think he steps right back in as that safety valve guy for Eli with Nicks and Manningham (if he is back) continuing to be the deep threats. I think Sanders surprises this year and has better year end stats than Ward. Benn looks like a lock to finish better than WR57 to me with the way Freeman is developing. Hill is the best WR in Jax imo, but if Gabbert takes over he could have a rough season. Damian Williams is a pure flier, but I am not a Britt fan. Williams is a hard worker, high effort sort of guy and if Britt gets in trouble again or comes out lazy, Williams is the guy I look to emerge in Tennesee.

This team just took a huge hit with Stewart now likely a RB when I need him to be a starter :banned: maybe Dez Bryant will be as good as I hoped and the RBBC will contribute just enough or be good in the needed weeks
