i dont think either of these teams stand a chance next week - they just keep handing the game back to each other. what a joke of a playoff game.
I'm enjoying very much thank you....back and forth
its a very enjoyable game to watch, and the level of play has definitely gone up in the 4th quarter, but the play overall has not been what you expect from playoff teams - players looking lost and making bonehead mistakes.

st louis has no timeouts... i dont care how powerful the offense is... they need to score and not worry about time.

The genius that is Joe Theismann:"the Seattle receivers have got to catch the ball...they can't drop it."It is exactly this kind of in-depth analysis and insight that makes him one of the best.
 The perfect combination of taking the obvious, adding more obvious color to it, all while having a quarterback's bias.
D. Jackson couldn't be more hot and cold if his name was Price Pfister.
He drops another ball and Holmgren might give him a pfister.

C'mon Rams! Stop these sorry arsed pretenders that are in our path to the LOMBARDI TROPHY!

20 years... and counting. PS Be advised. Random bannings and suspensions to be handed out this evening.

seattle only has to look at boulware's two bad plays in deep coverage and all of the drops to see where this game went wrong. they pressured bulger enough and their beleaguered run D played very well. hasselbeck, chike okeafor and chad brown played like winners. very tough way to end a season that was supposed to have super bowl possibilities.st. louis doesnt stand a chance at philly, the eagles defense wont break down deep the way seattle's did. if minnesota pulls an upset in lambeau, the rams could go into atlanta and win, because they are a great dome team.

will holgrem get canned or is his job safe?
We'll take him in SF. Biggest surprise was the under-utilization of Shaun Alexander. Why? He got good yardage when Hass threw him the screen pass.

I bet he is a goner...
Yeap.......he brings em right to the edge and thats it.
Let's see...Hasselbeck's INT was a perfect pass to Jackson that bounced off his chest and the Seasucks had 5 dropped passes including the game tying TD (which was easier than the TD Holt caught in the 1st quarter). I'm not sure how that is Holmgren fault - other than having those guys on the team to begin with.

Damn good playoff opener tho.
Good game, but all I could think was this was 2 teams going nowhere. When you have to think about leaving no time on the clock because your defenses can't stop the other team, then you won't be in the NFL playoffs very long.

I hate to break it to you but thats all the NFC has to offer. To suggest the rest of the NFC is supperior to the Rams is a joke. The Rams have as good of a shot as anoyne. To suggest Philly is superior is a joke. On defense maybe but O is anouther story. When Todd Pinkston is your #1 WR your team is in trouble. I think Philly is out no matter who they play next week. They were heads above all w/TO W/O they are lost.

Seattle had there chances yesterday, but they sure didn't get any help from the stripes. How there wasn't a pick called on the 3rd and 2 on the game winning drive and how they can call illegal hands to the face on 3rd and 10 when one of their DBs hand glances across the top of Holts helmet when he comes off the line is beyond me. I know there were at least two occasions when I saw both team's linemen put a hand on someone's facemask and give a good push with a zebra looking right at it and they didn't call anything (both games). There were times when Holt got hit downfield after 5 yards where it wasn't called and other times where there was no contact and it was called. If the calls continue the way they did yesterday it will be a huge advantage for the Colts.

Heard some discussion on either ESPN or WFAN that Minnesota may be looking to end the Randy Moss era and trade him for some draft picks or something. If any team needs a WR, it's Seattle. It has become almost comical how these guys miss and miss and miss.
