I could be wrong and I did this quickly. FYI, I am not handing the official scoring. I think Dodds might be handling that. Anyway, here goes...Wood - 178.4 (G Lewis less 9.4)Radballs - 153.8 (Jenkins less 5)Baker - 153 (Dunn less 6.8)Lammey - 150.9LHUCKS - 147.6 (McNabb less 23.2)Maxwell - 141.4 (TO less 4)Unlucky - 140.1 (Smith less 7.8, Duckett less 9.9)Gray - 138.9Rudnicki - 134.2Anderson - 127.9Boston Fred - 117.75 (Philly less 10)MoP - 116.55 (Vick less 14.65; Westbrook less 8.8, Akers less 10.9, ATL less 6)Like I said, I went through this quickly, but I just wanted to get an idea of where everyone stood.

ruh roh...looks like Captain Fred could be in some trouble unless the Eagles defense blows up for 20 points this week (assuming these are accurate and Westbrook gets enough points to save MoP).

Hey PRS Guy,Sorry, but discussing FBG-sponsored survivor leagues has always been allowed in the Shark Pool. There are many message board members who are interested in following a competition pitting a team of staff members vs a team of some of the best message board posters we have here.Hope you understand.

How about the leagues that are not?

I think if the league has enough interest to other people, it is usually allowed to be discussed. Things like FBG invitational leagues, inter-site expert leagues or commentary drafts, or WCOFF are things that are generally interesting or informative to many more people than just those who are involved. What isn't generally allowed is Rate My Team or Should I Make This Trade type of threads.

It's a fine line, to be sure. But, having 1 or 2 threads like this is hardly going to be hard for people to avoid if they're not interested. We just don't want 20-30 threads like this taking over the Pool.

But, this is indeed NFL and fantasy football-related...and all league members are active members of this community. I think if you meet those requirements, league-related threads will generally be allowed.

Fishing for what? I just think these threads take away from the overall greatness of the boards. No hard feelings here people, just seems odd that it's right in the rules yet doesn't seem to matter. That Fro thread to me doesn't fit the bill, but what do I know.

Carry on.

Bottom line...this is the best board you will find for advanced ff strategy/thinking. It has become that way for a reason. The mods/FBG have fine-tuned the process over several years to make this board what it is. I'm pretty sure they have a handle on what threads best serve this board's purpose.

It's silly for you to assume that you know more than the mods about this topic given your relative inexperience with this particular board. ;)

But thanks for diverting the thread.

I agree that this board is the best. I've posted this many places, I was one of the first people to sign onto FBG's when it first opened up, long before this new board was up and running. I've switched ISP's and can't get the lost password sent to me since I can't access my old email address. I don't really care though, I like the fact that so many "studs" point out the fact that I'm a newb when I was here before 99% of them. I still don't see how the Fro thread fits but if you do that's all I need to hear. After all I'm like member 17k and change.

Edited to say not trying to divert anything to be honest, just pointing out an observation. As I said before, if it's all good carry on as I'm cool with your replies.

Your original intent wasn't to point out anything important, which is why you mocked the owner of the place and his rules. You made them in huge bright red letters........what exactly was that for?I don't care how long you've been here, one day or 5 years. You come pissing in a thread full of mods and active message board posters it's not a very smart move even if you don't agree with this topic. It's like going up to a bunch of cops who might be hanging out in the parking lot looking like they might not be doing something. Then you say, " Can't you go out and earn you money fella, it's our taxes that pay for you, you know."

Maybe you have a point, but some things are better left unsaid. You aren't going to get anywhere with your mockery of the rules and you're going to get negative attention. Which is probably just what you were seeking anyway.

Look forward to reading some of your better posts in the future. Things that are related to fantasy football rather than FBG administrative stuff.

PRS...two points for you to consider.1) A thread like Fro's has some merit here. He's a pretty well know poster and has done well in many leagues sponspered by this site and spawned from this site. While his team in particular may not be of interest, some day I might decide to piss away some money and do the Vegas/WCOFF thing. Reading threads like his provides nuggets that I can file away if that date and time comes. The number of WCOFF players from these boards has expanded every year so I think it might be relevant.

2) Regarding FBG sponser leagues. One day you might win an entry or be selected based on the knowledge you demonstrate on these boards. If so, an understanding of these type of contests may be beneficial for you to compete at the highest level. Strange as it may seem, even in a group of the best, some of these guys always seem to finish at or near the top. There are some pretty proven strategies and some new ones unfolding that may be of interest. I've been in some of these leagues and watched others. I've learned a lot from some of these guys by just watching.

Just my opinion...not bashing yours.

OK, delete my post then, I'm cool with that. Just didn't seem like Fro's thread was anything more than a RMT. Obviously I was wrong, the thread has merit, thanks for the input.

Let me see if I can update the Survivor I group. Does anyone know who is handling the scoring officially? I can do it, but it would be a slow manual process. if someone had a program to handle it that would be much easier. I know Posty had one set up for the OBC/Zilla league last year that I was in.Anyway, here goes, unofficial:

Wood - 178.4

MoP - 159.6

Baker - 158.9

Radballs - 157.5

Maxwell - 155.6

Lammey - 150.9

LHUCKS - 147.6

Unlucky - 140.1

Gray - 138.9

Rudnicki - 134.2

Yes... BFred out in 1 and Keith Overton out in 2. Still all square.

If I have all my players' scores in a column in Excel, does anyone have a formula that will pick the scoring players (including the flex) and give me a total?
I figured it out.Use LARGE(array,x) where x is the rank of the number you want.

So LARGE(receivers,2) gives me the 2nd highest scoring receiver.

Do that for all the positions, then for the flex, you can use the MAX function to pick the highest scorer between WR4, RB3, and TE2.

Thanks FM.Thank goodness my sleepers (Davis, Booker, Stokley, and Bledsoe) showed up because my starters sure sucked.

loss of Javon Walker in week 1 will probably make it tough for my team to go far in this thing...but, hopefully my depth can hold out for a little while.

I've never sandbagged before. I don't like it.
I went out in the first round of the EBF last season. I wasn't too thrilled about that, either. Great receivers on my team, too...

Leauge 1 notes for week 2:Cowboy is missing Ramsey, Ricky, and Aaron Shea. This leaves him with only McNabb, who's still a question mark for this week.Yudkin fields a full team.Tick is missing Feeley.Shick is missing Roethlisberger, Staley, and ADavis. All three could play, but I don't expect them to.BassNBrew fields a full team.Smith is missing Brad Johnson and Jason Hanson.Evilgrin is missing Alex Smith and Lee Suggs.Family Matters is missing Shelton for the rest of the year.Stuart is missing Buckhalter for the rest of the year.JoeT is missing Walker for the rest of the year and Pathon.Tremblay is missing Boller. No real problems this week except for possibly Cowboy's QBs.

Evans, Chambers, Vick, Griese...it's not looking good."Cadillac", Westbrook, DJAX, Randle EL, Cincinnati...Don't know if I can make it this week.

I do have Samie Parker going tonight, Julius Jones tomorrow and Shockey as well...still could hit the 150 mark...would love to get immunity 1 week.
