wait i thought this was best ball...this is survivor?i thought everyone played everyone every week and had a corresponding score?maybe i missed something.

Here is how we will run this: Using MFL, we will draft on Tuesday at 9:00 PM Eastern. Six staffers and six message board people will play. This will play out as a best ball format where everyone plays the other 13 teams each week. There will be no roster moves or trades. The draft will be expanded to twenty-two (22) rounds to provide the added flexibility.f'n staff
Yes, this one is best ball. I was looking over my survivor league at the same time and got them confused.

nice. after tonight's games i should jump into at least 3rd place with Clayton -6.2, Heap -5.0, Rackers -14.2, and Arizona -6.0. 2nd place may be out of reach unless Clayton/Heap go a little bonkers or I get a score from Arizona. I think Rackers has the night off.

Yes, I am happy to post this because I am riding atop the standings. But I get the feeling it is not going to last, as I have only Eli Manning left at QB for the season. Not good. Delhomme is likely going under the knife (IMO), and Grossman sucks. You Staff dudes rightfully gave me _____ for taking him over Favre. Now if I win despite taking Grossman over Favre, you will suffer the mouth of Buck Naked!
Note that Message Board guys occupy three of the top four places after 4 weeks. Go Board.

Me too. I very much liked his team leaving the draft that night. The reasons appear to be: 1) Injuries are getting him, and 2) He needed more WR's; 3) His defenses are not producing at all right now.

I still think I have a chance to make up some real ground in the coming weeks. I have had no real injuries except Boldin. Reggie Brown is my only real draft flaw.

it is very close so far. solid showing by both groups.
Suggestion for next year to make it a more realistic WCOFF draft:
1. Have the regular season only be 11 weeks - this is the key difference b/w WCOFF and just another PPR league w/extra flex
2. No head to head - just total points
#2 really isn't a huge deal, but #1 is IMO

NOT The 11 week season for WCOFF is JUST the H2H portion for 12 team leaguesIf you want it to be more like the WCOFF Championship rounds, then just take the average weekly scores from Weeks 1-11 and add those to the scores from Weeks 12-16 for straight total points.

Seeing how nobody from the Staff is responding, I went and peeked at the NFFC contest of board v. staff. That contest is 16 weeks, based on 1) the NFFC season being 16 weeks, and 2) past contests were 16 weeks.
So, using the same factors, in light of WCOFF being 16 weeks, and no other contest has gone 16 weeks as far as I know, this week has to be the last week.

I understand what you mean....but my objective was for the draft to mirror what a WCOFF draft would look like. Knowing that the season is over after 11 weeks in a best ball format will likely alter the strategy vs. drafting for all 16 weeks.

Not that it matters, but three staffers have higher avg. PF then #4 Buck Naked. That's the way the ball bounces. Losing LJ and Benson brought any chance I had to compete crashing to the earth. Edwards and Moss have helped me stay out of the cellar, but otherwise, it's been ugly.

It looks like the staff is going to pull this out behind Overton's big week. I think he is going to pull ahead of razorback and me in the standings, which will give the staff the win.
