Start 2QB Drafts (1 Viewer)

Daywalker. You'll have to go with Superflex option most likely. However, if you make sure the settings slightly favor QB scoring it'll make sense to be a 2 QB league. The problem you'd run into with the 2 QB x 14 teams is bye weeks.

My league is going to have 14 teams this year. We've never had more then 12. We want to keep the start 2 QB aspect.

I was thinking of making it:

- Team QB plus you can only roster two Team QB's. To ensure everyone has 2 qb's.

- One of the QB spots be a flex qb/rb/wr. To cover bye's.

Anyone have an opinion if these measure are necessary and/or implications I may not be seeing?
Team QB sucks. Should the guy who screwed up his draft and had to take Alex Smith luck into Kaepernick? Should the guy who gets Eagles this year get combined points from Vick and Foles once something nutty happens?

I say no to team QB and go with a QB/TE flex position. That way you don't take a zero if you end up with a QB hurt or on a bye, but you keep the aspect of quarterback being a very important position in your league.

I was leaning towards team qb and a superflex to deal with byes.

As far as team qb, I would think everyone would factor in backups and situations when drafting. The Eagles QB would be drafted higher in this format compared to having to draft Vick and Foles separately. They are paying for that. Lucking into a Kaepernick? That's FFL. Perhaps RGIII goes a notch higher because Cousins is attractive in case of injury.

In a hardcore league team qb is not necessary. My league? On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being hardcore, it's about a 6. Anticipating many owners being worried about injuries and being left with less then two starting qb's. Throwing the team qb out there to alleviate those fears.

Anyone have a link to team qb fantasy points compared to individual rankings from last season?

I know rb/wr/te don't benefit in this fashion but the injury insurance of team qb intrigues me a bit. We are all playing under the same rules so I don't see it as unfair by any means. As Frank Costello would say, "Act accordingly."

We went from 2QB to 1QB/Superflex. It was the best option because some poor ******* had to start Kevin Kolb or Gabbart types and it kind of ruins the fun when you need to start bad players like that

2QB leagues are great examples of who you're drafting with being much more important to your pre-draft strategy. Our 2QB league is nuts. It's a 12-team so literally there aren't enough to go around. It's a keep 2 and boils down to 13 of 24 keepers being QBs.

One rule that's interesting to think about is if there's a limit to how many QBs you can roster. In the past I've drafted 6 QBs and done some pretty serious trading. Teams of course need to be deep enough to support that type of thing but who needs Kickers- or wide receivers.

This year's QB talent is really pretty good. Ponder that.

IMO the only fair way to do 2QB leagues in redraft is by setting roster limits on QBs. In the league I am commishing, it's a QB superflex and the limit is 2QBs on any roster at any time. know it limits options, but this league is a mix of experienced and new players. For 12 teams, it just makes things more fun, and it prevents people from stockpiling to gain advantage.

I kind of like a QB/K/P setting. One of these three will be on the field for all offensive plays.

If you don't want to use Punters (most leagues don't), just use QB/K. 99% of teams will use 2 QBs, but allowing a kicker to replace one allows for easier bye weeks and increases the value of kicker.

We've done this. It's a 10 team league and you're allowed 4 starting QBs per roster and 4 backup QBs. Each week if a player is named the starter and brings you up to 5 starting QBs, you need to drop one of them before kickoff or the most recent addition will be automatically dropped from the roster. It's allowed us to keep balance so people don't hoard 6 starting QBs just to screw people over.
