Starting a Dynasty League, need help with Rules (1 Viewer)

All,

I am starting a 12 team Dynasty league with some friends, but I am unsure of the rules I should use and have failed in my feeble attempt searching the site.

Right now I am thinking everyone can keep up to 3 players and they lose that corresponding draft pick the following year.

The only other thing is draft order would be opposite of final standings.

Will this work, or am I missing something fundamental.

What you described is a keeper league, not a dynasty league, but that's neither here nor there.If you are going to use the rules you laid out, be sure to specify if there is a limit to how long a player can be kept. Also detail what happens if a player who was picked up as a free agent is kept, and what happens if someone wants to keep two players who were drafted in the same round.

Thanks I did just realize by searching the difference between the 2.

I think a keeper league is what I had in mind.

Free agents that are kept would = a 5th round pick.

Does that seem reasonable?

And I'm not sure if I go this route how long players should be kept.

Any opinions/options?
