Starting Bucs RB next season? (1 Viewer)

This might be way premature but how do you guys call this?

The more steady Earnest Graham or the big-play threath Cadillac Williams? Perhaps neither of them?

I mentioned in the the Ernest Graham thread that the "big-play" threat really only has one "big play" for more thean 40 yards in his career - and it happened in his first game, several years and injuries ago.Graham seems to get the same 25-30 yarders that Caddy was capable of AND he seems to be significantly better in other aspects (short yardage, receiving, maybe blocking, consistency) of his game. I'm just not sure what Tampa would get by benching Graham in favor of Caddy at this point even if Caddy comes back strong.I'm not saying they won't start Caddy, I'm just saying I don't see why they would.

I don't think Caddy will be ready by the start of next season as a running back coming back from a ruptured patella tendon.

Is Pittman still in the mix?

Caddy was a bust before the injry, Graham has BADLY outplayed him since taking over. With Gruden's job possibly on the line, I think he'll stay with what works, i.e., Graham as the starting RB..I have to admit , the Caddy Williams owners crack me up...this guy has been a first class bust since entering the NFL, I don't think there is a more overrated player in fantasy football than him..maybe McNabb, but its close..Williams is always hurt.ALWAYS..eventually,the Bucs will just realize the guy cannot play in a starting RB role, maybe as a change of pace rb, but certainly not a 25-30 carry/gm type of rb. he is simply too brittle to hold up to the wear and tear of the NFL..I view him as a Michael Bennett type of player, someone with a lot of talent, but never parlayed the talent into NFL success..and like Bennett, Caddy has had one good year, and the rest have been flops..and his recent injury is the most serious of his brief career...

Its pretty clear that Graham > Cadillac IMO
:lmao:As a Bucs fan I can say that this guy is the real deal. He's hungry and does everything in his power to get that extra yard. He's been a work horse since the injury to Williams.

graham seems like a complete back and has been consistently good all year. Williams has done nothing to show that he deserves the job when he gets back.

TB is 8-4 and on their way to the playoffs. Is Gruden's job really on the line? I heard rumblings earlier in the season, but nothing lately. Has he saved his job for now, or is it still shaky at this point?

In essence, Earnest Graham has saved Gruden's job.

What does Gruden do for his 'job savior' when said player becomes a FA at the end of 2008?

But he was a high draft choice.So.... as long as Jerry Angelo doesn't become the Bucs GM, it should be Graham's gig.

I thought his torn patella tendon was career threatening. I'm not really counting on Caddy, it would be good news to me if he even tries to come back next year. Does anyone have any info?
