I think I know what your talking about -- = 0. Not sure why sometomes they use 0's and sometimes --

Sure. If you look at the 2008 stats for all defensive linemen at nfl.com, http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?arc...e&Submit=Go
You'll see that Shaun Rogers is credited with no passes defensed. I play in a CBS league that uses nfl stats (i'm assuming this all comes from Elias) and I pull up 2008 totals that show him with 4 passes defensed. I've checked some other stats for different players and found other irregularities as well.
On the nfl.com site you'll notice a lot of -- where there should be numbers. There are clearly zero's in many entries on this page. Does the -- denote some sort of inaccuracy?

Shaun Rogers had 4 passes defensed in 2008. His player page shows 4, it's just that defensive lineman stats page that has the incorrect number. I got a bug report submitted for that but I don't know when it'll get looked at.
I didn't get an answer about the hyphen / zero difference. It does look odd.
