Steelers at Giants (1 Viewer)

So, to be clear, when a QB pump fakes but ends up throwing it into the ground because he loses his grasp on the ball, that's a fumble? I don't think you quite understand what "control" means.
Thats a completely different situation in the eyes of the rule book..but i suspect you know that. Anyway, i guess i dont, the refs on the field, the guys in the replay book and every other person on tv saying it was the right call. Even Cowher just said at halftime it was the correct call. Shrug...
You mean like Mike Pereira?
Leavy felt ball was loose after contact by Osi. Very tight play. I think he still had control. In my opinion it was an incomplete pass.
Phil Simms came back & said that he agreed with the fumble call. As much as I like Phil, I have to disagree. He did not loose control

Did not read any of the posts so far in this thread.... Steelers absorb three horrendously bad calls (the first PI on Lewis, the personal foul on Clark in the end zone, and the Big Ben fumble returned for a TD) to only trail by 4 at halftime. I've never complained about bad calls costing the Steelers a game and there is plenty of time for the Steelers to overcome these bad calls.
GG Steelers... never gave up and made the plays when it counted.

2. Traveling the morning of the game for possibly the first time in their NFL careers; certainly not the normal routine
James HarrisonThis is the longest game day I have had in my career but its well worth it with a W in the end.

I don't usually make even moderately incendiary comments in the Shark Pool, but this game and this thread and the history of the Shark Pool going back to 2005 makes this a worthy exception in my opinion.

Note to Seattle fans and Steeler haters:

That's how you respond to questionable officiating calls. You overcome it.
Huh? Look I'm a steelers fan but just about every single Steelers fan in here was complaining about the calls.
:whoosh: You are neither a Seattle fan or Steeler hater. We've both been here a long time. Surely you know I'm a Steelers fan, too. My entire point was that what we Steeler fans have been saying since SB XL is that officiating is a part of the game. Sometimes you need to overcome bad calls. Many posters here told us we were full of it and love to come to the game threads when the Steelers get bad calls. While they still have yet to notice how often calls go against the Steelers, while eagerly posting when calls go Pittsburgh's way, this game is the poster child for what we've been saying now for eight seasons.
Yeah I get that but the point I was trying to make is it's a little hypocritical to rip on the Seahawks fans when most of us Steelers fans (myself included) were whining during the first half of today's game. Regardless, I get your point and I totally agree with you. Good teams find ways to win. The steelers deserved to win today as they did in the superbowl.
