Little late now but the games was on ABC (CH6) but wasn't listed on the guide if you were looking for itNope,just got off the phone with them and it's blacked out and NOT on the local Philly channel. Keep the updates coming guys! I'll check out the replay on NFLN when it comes on.That's gotta be BS... I watched plenty of live pre-season games on DirecTV NFLN last year and this one is coming in just fine. I have the Sunday Ticket, but that definitely wouldn't apply to this since it doesn't even apply to regular season Saturday games.Right at 7:30 the channel went black and I got the message the game is not available in my area. I called Directv and they say that the pre-season games are only available in the local market.Unbelievable... wanted to see Mendy and I'm guessing he's probably done for the night...Not sure what you mean.. I'm not in the local market, but the NFLN's HD broadcast cut out on the first playIs this only on the NFLN in the local market?HD feed cut out on the first play!!

Was it a throwing side break?Love the 4-6 week optimism and hope it's accurate.If that is off base, no way Dixon is ready.My experience tells me 4-6 sounds pretty fast to be back and ready for contact.
ONe thing you can definitively take from that game:
The Eagles announcers (Casserly) were 500% better then the poor shleps trying to announce for the Steelers.
Both first team offenses looked good. The rest of the game was a drag...but that's not that unusuall in pre-season.
Eagles Steelers pre-season is never good for the Eagles backup offensive guys. First time some rookies EVER see a 3-4 alignment.
McNabb looked VERY good. Even his incomplete passes were solid. One was a throw away. Another was to the end zone corner and Avant was inches from pulling it down between two defenders (who pushed him out in mid-air?????) The last may have also been a throw away. Kolb looked fairly good on his first couple drives, but penalties were killing the Eagles. Feeley never had a prayer.
Buckhalter ran hard and looked solid. Anyone thinking he could get cut for Hunt is deluding themselves.
Desean Jackson looked good...he seemed to get open a lot. His size makes you cringe every time he gets hit though.

How did Ryan Moats look out there? Odds are he's going to be dropped in favor of Westbrook, Booker, Buckhalter & Hunt, but I want to know if he's worth looking at if he lands on another team.

Yeah, I have to give him props for that. He looked good out there in general.
Nothing special, as near as I could tell...he wasn't out there long.Worth something on another team.......only if third stringers are generally worth something to you. It depends on the severity of the break, i'd guess. If it's a fairly simple fracture, maybe they can put some plates and screws in and hopefully speed up the time window... If it's a really complex fracture he'll miss much more time. There is an artery under the collarbone so you have to be really careful with that injury (see Matt Leinart from last year...)

Moats and Hunt are both terrible. Neither should make the team unless there is an injury imo.
Was reading Booker's blog on eagles.com. He talked about how the plan was to use Jackson underneath and see how he handled it. Also mentioned that Jackson is still nursing a sore hammy. 
I'm really starting to this kid. The Eagles offense is notoriously tough for rookie WR's. Are we seeing the start of something special????????

As brutal as they were, they were nothing compared to Plunkett, Atkinson and whatever non-english-speaking tools the Raiders stick in the booth.

No ####! Batch has been one of the better backup QBs in the leage for the last couple years. In fact, I'm sure the Steelers would have made the playoffs 2 years ago if Batch had played and Ben had not been rushed back into the lineup.

some things i noticed
1. kolb looks at best a #2 Qb
2. mcnabb looked good
3. jackson looked good
4. special teams still blows, they can't block and open lanes or tackle for #### on it. eagles don't need a returner, they need holes opened.
5. not playing hunt last season is hurting him this season, he is rusty

Who's talking about Batch? I said I'd rather have Dixon as the backup than Leftwich. Leftwich is terrible. With Leftwich or Dixon the Steelers won't be going to the playoffs. Might as well give the kid some playing time. But lets hope it doesn't come to that.
