Steelers to punch the Patriots in the mouf (1 Viewer)

The Ravens smashed them in the mouth all night long and all over the field on both sides of the ball. Pittsburgh is capable of the same thing except they have an offense....

every game is different. Pittsburgh has not played well on the road this year, to put it mildly. I do think they will be energized and ready for this game, but I also have trouble imagining that the Patriots' defense plays three mediocre games in a row. We'll see.If you had to pin me down, I would say a tight game until the 4th quarter, after which the Pats win by two touchdowns.

@ Cardinals L 21-14 (3-1)

@ Broncos L 31-28 (4-2)

@ Jets L 19-16 (7-3)

Not the road team you think they are...

This is going to be a close game though...

Whats a mouf?

The Steelers lost to the Jets. I don't think so.
Steelers crushed the Ravens.............you know darn well you can't compare like you just did
As for the tromping of the Ravens by the Steelers...that game was out of hand early. Fumbles from Steve McNair in the backfield and Ed Reed on a punt return led to two Pittsburgh touchdowns in the first quarter. The Steelers picked apart a secondary that was missing cornerbacks Samari Rolle and Chris McAlister as well. Guess what I am saying is "Any given Sunday!"

Notify Goodell so that the league can take away the W from the Steelers. While you are at it have him take away the Pats win that the refs gave them. Oh yeah :goodposting:

I am just trying to point out that circumstances can dictate the game...I would not take away a win from anyone. Be the same as if the Pats lost last night, I am sure a lot of people would have blamed it on the weather...The losing team always seems to be the one that complains about the refs after the game...a win allows you to overlook it!

For a mouf-punchin' team, why is Pittsburgh a 14 point dog?
Read today ( on another MB, so it may not be gospel) that it been 35 years since Pgh was a 14 point dog in any game.
Yeah, as soon as I saw the line I knew something didn't smell right. What am I missing? Its in NE, so that is only 4-7 points. Where are the other 7-10 points coming from?
Steelers performance against the Jets, their inability to run the ball and their suspect OLine, I'd guess.

The Steelers will move the ball easily.

the question is: can the D step up and do what the Ravens did.

This game will show where the Pats are at heading down the stretch run. There is no other potential loss on their schedule, and they will not play a competitive game again for 5 weeks after the Steelers.

I thought the "philly blueprinting" take was far fetched.. i don't know now... seems the last two weeks were somewhat similar... and pittsburgh has the personnel... Pats might be doubting theirselves .1% now... might be an interesting game.. or NWE shows up and says enough is enough.I am liking Pats owners slowing down these past couple weeks.

lol @ the mythical 'blueprint'. there is no freakin' blueprint... you know what the eagles and ravens did? they came out with some passion and didn't roll over and play dead. only the colts and cowboys (through 3 quarters) can say the same.

as a pats fan, i'm loving it. the pats are the undisputed king of the mountain - come knock them off. every team they've faced since the colts game has been playing in their respective super bowls. finally a couple of teams are manning up and acting like they want to win.

that being said,

pats 34 - steelers 21.

This sounds naughty.
