I didn't see the game... how bad did his injury look? With only 2 fantasy games left, is he now droppable in a redraft league?Rotoworld:

Giants WR Steve Smith will miss the remainder of Monday night's game with a hamstring injury. He pulled the hammy on his lone catch, a 12-yarder in the third quarter. Smith played sparingly, seeing action only in three-receiver sets as the slot man during a game in which the Giants used lots of two-wide, power formations. Hakeem Nicks dominated the receiving workload for New York. Also dealing with a partially torn pectoral, Smith's status for Week 15 is in doubt.

Not to merge this thread with the "What do I do with/out Gates this week?" thread, but does this make Boss a more intriguing matchup in Week 15 - even WITH Nicks back in the fold?

I would have to think so for sure. Manningham also left last night's game with an injury. And Witten just got done torching Phi this past week. I think Boss makes a very fine play this week.

No one on a fantasy football message board is going to have the answer you are looking for, not 12 hours after a hamstring pull. And anyone that does give you an answer is guessing.

As a Nicks owner, I hope to goodness that Smith and Manningham are able to get back out there next week in primetime. Otherwise I think the entire secondary will be surrounding Nicks all game. With that said, Boss should make a really nice play, especially with how frequently Philly sends the house.

Just heard on Sportscenter that it's his miniscus and they said he's done for the year.

The play in question was a short pass where he was tackled around his should pads. He fell backwards with his feet under his but. It looked like it could have been bad but he got right back up and didn't appear to be in any pain.

Here's a LINKNot sure what the difference is between a miniscus an an articular cartilage.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants' lineup has suffered yet another massive blow with wide receiver Steve Smith having to undergo season-ending knee surgery.

Smith underwent an MRI to his left knee on Tuesday. The Giants announced that he suffered an articular cartilage injury, the result of him being awkwardly tackled from behind in Monday's victory over the Vikings.

Smith's surgery has not been scheduled yet. He had just returned from a four-game layoff due to a partially torn pectoral muscle.

"Steve will not be able to play anymore," coach Tom Coughlin said. "I feel bad for Steve. He fights his way back and then [suffers] this injury. Our entire thoughts for the team are with Steve. First news was it may have been a hamstring or that type of injury."
