What I think we've learned here:NY Smith is better than many thoughtEli is better/progressed more than many thoughtThe Giants running game is worse than many thoughtDelhomme was more horrific at QB than many thoughtTalent can't always overcome situationFootball stats and success still is highly unpredictable
What I think could be taken away from it is that a LOT of folks (myself included) get really dialed in on opinions of guys when it does make sense to think outside the box on occasion.NY Smith wasn't a fluke (and it's not all system/QB). He's really, really good at what he does. And there were SOME hints as to his capabilities early on in his career. It would have been a very bold prediction to see 2009 coming, but not altogether impossible (not claiming I saw it coming, far from it).Personally, I don't think NY Smith is being given enough credit for what he brought to the table. That means he might be undervalued this year too.

So does Steve Smith (Car) win out again? I have to say I am thinking of drafting him over Steve Smith (Nyg) at the end of the 3rd as my #1 wr.

I did draft the NYG version in the 9th round last year, but certainly won't claim I thought he'd outperform the CAR version, although I have valued the CAR Smith much lower than his ADP for 2 years now. This year It's the NYG version, and it isn't even close. He has the better QB, another WR to draw coverage.

You mean another WR to draw targets, don't you?Playing across the field from a second good WR is a radically overrated concept in fantasy football. The second receiver draws far more in terms of targets and opportunities than he does in terms of coverage.

No, I said what I meant. I think teams will put doubles on Nicks. I think Nicks will open up underneath and crossing patterns for Smith. I think it's sort of a Smith/Welker-Nicks/Moss sort of thing. Not to compare those players, but Revis never covered Welker, if you get my drift, and he lit the Jets (and a lot of other teams) up.

This year their Experts ADP stands at 14 and 15 in PPR leagues while SS South is slightly ahead of SS North in non-PPR. But isn't anyone afraid of SS South's broken arm?
It's not anything to worry about, provided he's healed by the season opener. Unlike a leg injury, a player can remain in game shape with an arm injury. It won't affect his catching or his routes. It'd be nice if he had a chance to work more on his timing with Moore... but his timing with Moore was pretty good last season (Smiff averaged 95 yards in games Moore started). If one of my WRs was going to get injured in the offseason, a broken arm is pretty much the best injury you could possibly hope for.
