He's active but reports from St. Louis say he did little in pre-game warmups and nothing at full speed. Schefter is reporting the Rams aren't sure how much they'll get out of him today.

For those who have good/great RB depth, this seems like an easy call. You sit him this week and hope he doesn't worsen the injury. But if your options are limited and/or you're in bye-week hell, it's a different story. Anyone with limited alternatives rolling the dice and starting him?

I've still got Spiller in, but might swap them out if I hear more good things about Sjax's playing time before kickoff.

not starting him or Darby. Hoping Bradford airs it out today.
I've got to start 2 of these 4... Jackson, Ivory, and Hightower, and Kuhn. I have no idea what to do, but I don't really like any of my options. Thoughts?

Jackson made no hard cuts. He did not accelerate hard. He did nothing that made me think he was ready to go full speed against the Seattle Seahawks or any NFL team. That was just my impression. Jackson could still play; the Rams have not yet declared their inactive players. But if Jackson starts and plays extensively, I'll be surprised.
Sando's EPSN Blog. I am not expecting much of Jackson today.

This is what concerns me. But I don't know why you'd even have him active if there was any chance of him making the injury worse. That's incredibly moronic. I hate these decisions.

I have a tough decision to deal with because of the bye week + the injuries to Jackson and Best. That said, I have no confidence sticking Jackson in there. All of the news sounded pretty negative up until the announcement that he was 'starting.'

I just don't get why he's out there at all if there's a chance of re-aggravating the injury. It seems like there's maybe some ridiculous gamesmanship going on here, so I'm staying far away from the St. Louis backs. It's too bad b/c Darby might have been startable for me in that league if we had definitive word on Jackson. Personally I'm rolling with Best, even though I'm extremely suspicious that the toe will make him a lot less effective.

Not trying to be  , just trying to give my thought process because I know a lot of people are in similar spots.

Yep, im out. Not enough there to make me feel good about this play.

I own him in one full ppr league and one .5pr league.

In the ppr I am benching him in favor of Ladell Betts. Just think Betts catched like 5 balls for 50 or so yards with a chance for a score. That's more than I'd expect out of Jackson.

In my .5, I'm on the fence but leaning towards playing him. My other options are Darby, Jerome Harrison, and Correll Buckhalter. I need a big day and I think SJax has the most potential - why would they activate to not use him? Doesn't make sense.

Yeah, my alternatives are Darby, C. Taylor and Ricky Williams. This is not good.

I might just play Williams since my opponent is starting Ronnie Brown.

With Moreno out, I've gotta play Jackson. It's either him, Ricky Williams (I'm already starting Ronnie Brown) or Ivory. Jackson probably my best play.

I have Ladell Betts in now but thinking of switching to SJax. Not sure what to do
In PPR I'd probably go with Betts. It's not the upside play but it is the safer one. I think I'm starting SJax over Tolbert. Tolbert's value is entirely dependent upon him scoring. That could happen but if it doesn't he probably won't outproduce Jackson. Good luck everyone. I hope we all have made the right decision with SJax today. More importantly, let's hope the injury doesn't get worse and we don't have to deal with all this again next week.

I'm not starting him. I'm going with Jahvid Best instead, who is also sort of risky this week. The news this morning has been somewhat more positive regarding him, however.

My other options would be TO and Lance Moore. Going with Best, though.

With byes and injuries, my only other option is Torain. I'm throwing up a little in my mouth, but it's Torain over SJax.

I'm sticking with Darby also. My only other option is Brandon Jacobs but with the way Chicago's run defense is playing I'm not confident in Jacobs doing much with any touches he does get.

I don't know why SJax would be active if there's a chance of re-injury but I'm going to roll the dice and guess that he doesn't make it through the game.

Why would they have him active if they don't think there is a chance he can play the whole game?

I'm considering putting him back in.

I benched him. Other options were Mathews, Addai, and Hillis. I was conflicted between Mathews and Jackson, and decided to go with the healthier option. Almost a tossup between those two. But I think addai and Hillis are clearly superior options.

Sat him for Knox. Won anyway and still would have finished 2nd in points this week if I started him.

I'm in a TD-heavy league so Torain was actually worth a few more points than SJax thanks to Torain's TD (1pt/20 full yards).
