Steven Sims Jr, Steelers of Pittsburgh WR (1 Viewer)

If this were a normal season, I'd be predicting something like 90 targets and 60 receptions, with room for 20% more ceiling.  He could do some serious damage with that kind of opportunity.

Steven Sims (toe) is not practicing Wednesday.

Sims has a pair of 50-yard games to open the season, catching three passes in each contest, but this offense is struggling to score points, which keeps Sims as nothing more than a bench stash in 12-team leagues. Washington's slot man, Sims' status for Week 3 against the Browns is uncertain.

Washington placed WR Steven Sims (toe) on injured reserve.

Sims missed Week 4 after getting hurt in Week 3 against the Browns and had yet to resume practicing. The Football Team's slot man, Sims cleared 50 yards in both Weeks 1 and 2. His injury leaves behind Terry McLaurin, Dontrelle Inman, and rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden as the presumed top three wideouts for new starter Kyle Allen. Sims will at the very least miss Weeks 5-7 against the Rams, Giants, and Cowboys.

(Hopefully we can change the title to include 'Football Team', instead of .... you know)

per JP Finlay, the FT is set to activate Sims for tomorrow's game.

Any interest here? He had 4 and 3 targets before exiting his week 3 game. The slot has had some decent production in his absence and now with Inman doubtful tomorrow, we could see Sims get some attention.

Steven Sims caught 5-of-6 targets for 46 yards in Washington's Week 10 loss to the Lions.

Sims had a bad drop in the second half, failing to reel in the ball over the middle with plenty of room to run. Cam Sims has complicated Steve Sims' role as the Football Team's No. 2 receiver, but Steve Sims should be rostered in deep PPR leagues.

Steven Sims Jr. about to lose his job to Cam Sims. Weird.

Steelers WR Steven Sims is expected to take over slot duties in Pittsburgh following the trade of Chase Claypool.

Sims has run 11 routes all year with the Steelers using a highly-concentrated three-wide set of Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, and Claypool the first eight weeks. "He's been making plays when called upon, and I think based on what we've seen, it's reasonable to expect that to continue," Tomlin said of Sims. The 5'10/176 wideout caught 61 balls for Washington across the 2019-20 seasons.
