Is your TSP contribution in a Roth?  I have mine split Roth/Trad since the Govt. match has to be traditional.
It doesn't matter if your contributions are 100% Roth, the match is traditional. So the only reason to contribute to traditional is the tax benefit.

When y'all get full from BLMN, come on over to the park hotels. Bought 1500 shares at $6.60 this morning. Should probably take the quick cash but I'm hanging on.

Yes, you worded it much better for what I was trying to say.  Thanks.

I wasn't sure if you were thinking, like I did when I started as a civilian, that they only matched traditional contributions. I've seen and heard that commented before. (You're a smart guy, but we all have incorrect assumptions at times)

So, I'm thinking, dinner at BLMN, entertainment AMC or MGM, fall asleep at PK?
I'm in.  Our Outback opened up it's dining room.  My kids are dying to get out of the house.  Thinking a Bloomin Burger with plenty of sauce.  I'll be back at the Bellagio soon enough too I'm sure.

I need to open a separate account for swing trading so I don't have to look at my long term portfolio every time I go in there to initiate a swing trade.  It is FUGLY in there today.

Vegas?  Fly in on DAL.  Get loaded up on Leronlimab.  Everyone wearing STONKS shirts and we could look like an amazingly dorky family reunion group.

Still holding.  Feeling like I'm getting greedy since my stake is now +50%, but I'm not seeing a huge swing back happening this week.  Not unless Fauci and Powell go on a Tour de France length back peddle.
Never look at TVIX on a three day horizon. Hour by hour is preferred.

But you're right. Usually bad news lingers while good news is transitory.

But in this market.... wtf knows

Not a surprise at at all that the S&P is going to close at around 2820.

Mancini - 3 hours ago: We got a clean 30 point drop when 2820 broke and bulls trying to backtest the level now (support becomes resistance). Bulls will need to recapture that level before the end of day to get the chart bullish again

Why not just sell a contract of the futures?

1) Down equals down, sometimes TVIX doesn't correlate as well.

2) It trades 23 hours a day. Hypothetically, Leronlimab studies show a superb improvement for patients (please God!), news breaks at 9pm at night, you get crushed by 4am when you can get out as opposed to licking your wounds and getting out immediately.

3) No decay.

I don't understand why anyone would get involved with TVIX as opposed to selling a futures contract.

Why don't you just inject yourself with some Covid?
I'm figuring if I get it, it will be at the beach next week.  We cut our trip down by over half but have a construction project going on down there I need to go see about so I'm justifying it in my mind that way.

I'm hoping the added stress from TVIX helps me lose the rest of my hair so I don't have to shave parts of my head anymore.  I don't know, been playing it a while, along with the bear & bull leveraged ones, stubborn of change?  I hear you though and have been paying a lot more attention to these options posts here.

As a buy and hold index fund guy, moved some cash into VFAIX today.  Top 10 holdings:

Speaking of LUV I am taking a hard look at it right now.  Very tempted to take a position.
My favorite airline stock, but I'm not buying any airline for a while. There's lots of other short term money to be made in this environment and while I love LUV, its gonna take a while for it to be worth owning

Imo, beach is infinitely safer than a movie, theater, casino or airplane

LUV hit a 52 week low today and is down 23% from just 2 weeks ago.  I understand what you are saying but I am just looking for a quick rebound and I am out.

Really wish CYDY would have found a way to get on the Nasdaq quicker.  Every half assed biotech stock on there has quintupled in the last few days, and with less promising early results than CYDY too.

The CEO is actually scaring me.  I think he's in way over his head and is unsure of what needs to be done.  The company can still hit it big in spite of him, but it would be a much smoother path if they had someone with more experience at the top.

I don't watch CNBC during the day, but I do watch pre-market.   I went to high school with Mike Santoli, super nice guy.  Can't stand Joe Kernan at all.
Agree 100% on these two.  Like Santoli and think Kernan is probably the worst person on CNBC and that is saying something.

I go back and forth if Sara Eisen is hot or not.  @General Malaise you want to weigh in on that one?  She kind of has an Anna Kendrick thing going.  Yesterday she looked like she was going to hit the club, today like a pilgrim.  I just don't know.  Some days I think she is just a young and more bubbly Becky Quick, who does absolutely nothing for me.

She's hot, but she would be even hotter if she didn't always sit with her shoulders rolled forward like the hunchback of notre dame.

Nick Cordero just awoke from his medically induced coma.  He is at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.  I wonder if he is the VIP patient that was given leronlimab in LA.

Yes according to one of the Investors Hangout posters, but of course it's his best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw him injected at 31 Flavors.

An interesting aspect of the CYDY webinar was that NP mentioned that they were in talks with Mexico to participate in a study that would directly compare the effectiveness of leronlimab versus remdesivir.  There would also be a direct comparison of the two separately versus a cocktail of leronlimab and remdesivir together.

Also Dr. Patterson mentioned that other research is coming  out now that shows the role of RANTES and will serve as broad based support for his paper and for the eventual use of leronlimab.
