DDD was up another $4+ today and then gave most of it back. Looks like it's about time to pull out. Just going to play just the tip for now.
That was the same for every chart yesterday. Thanks Carl, your timing was impeccable with an hour left to go in the trading day.

Great call Siff on Tesla. Easy money, wish i had bought more than 1 put yesterday.
I sold this morning. Scotrade's website was all goofed up driving me crazy and costing me some money. But I made $2863.00 on my 100 shares after commissions.

Really wanted to hold this long term but it just shot up. I hope I can get back in at a lower price.

Took out a small stake in ONVO. 200 shares at 10 and a couple of january 18th twelve dollar calls. Tight leash and will can the shares if it goes to 9.

Out of ONVO at 10, up 40%

Will definitely look to get back in eventually.
Eeeesh. Bolded might be today.
yeah, the stock really took a beating today. It did run up way too fast as did the whole 3D sector.

I should be out of JCP tomorrow leaving only SIRI. I'm not buying anything else until I see what the market direction will be. Next leg up or the predicted turnaround? All 3 indicies are having trouble with their resistance.

*Don't ever leave an open Stop Loss (GTC) order. Stops should be "mental". Set an alert for when a position crosses below a certain threshold which will give you an appropriate amount of time to close out the position.
:goodposting:
Except if your up 53% on a stock in a week and you take a vacation where there is no internet. My GTC order saved me > $6000Your point is valid, but every tool has it's use.

Trucking company Swift (SWFT) bought Central Refrigerated today. The stock is flat to down because people are suspicious that CEO/Chairman of Swift, Jerry Moyes was the owner of privately held Central Refrigerated. I think there's a pretty easy 10-15% to be had there with an upside of around 25-30%
Hit a low of 17.37 an hour after I posted this and a high of 18,98 2 days later before pulling back to the low 18s. Fell short of the easy 10% I thought by a smidge (.8%) but I think it will still get there with a bit longer outlook.
Stopping back in. Don't know if anyone ever followed this. Topped out last week at 23.45, trading around $22 now. 30% gainer in 3 months. I'm not right often but blind squirrels and all that...

3D stocks CRUSHED again.

Looking for some support before getting back in myself.
The origin of the fall appears to be an Alpha article slamming ONVO. I don't doubt that this may have been the spark that lit the fire, but I am dubious that such an article can have a lasting affect on the entire industry.

I mistimed it, however, and should have stuck to my guns on XONE (seems like there's lots of buying interest in low 50s...could be a floor, but I'm no technician). Looks like today is working out nicely (so far).

For any Maria Bartiromo fans, I believe this is her last show before leaving for Fox Business.
So hot back in the day. I hope she gets into porn.

Anyone think DDD is on the verge of a Tesla like fall?
Anything is possible but DDD makes money while Tesla does not. The fact that I bought back in already should probably be a huge red flag.

I wouldn't call myself a true fan, but I've always thought the money honey did a pretty good job and I'm surprised CNBC would let her go to a direct competitor.

It feels like the whole sector is up huge on all of this momentum and the wind may be dying down.

Keep in mind that DDD is being supported by the rumour of an IBM buyout at $90. You're not going to get a tesla like correction until the deal rumor is completely killed.

True.

3D stocks CRUSHED again.

Looking for some support before getting back in myself.
I'd avoid the entire sector, GB.

I'd be very very VERY leery of these. One of the brightest minds in the business is incredibly bearish on the 3D stocks. I had drinks and smokes with him last week. I wouldn't want to own what he's short. Great mind, great money manager, hot assistant too.

Nice day for URZ
Yeah, a lot of the crappy miners have gotten up off the floor in recent days. Spot price has advanced nearly 3 bucks this month, production in Kazakhstan is slowing, reported shortages in one of the major utilities...not ready to say we're out of the woods entirely, but for the first time in what seems like forever, there's a little tiny light at the end of the tunnel.

Great, where were you yesterday?!!

DDD makes money and is growing so it isn't all that speculative. Overpriced? You could definitely say that.

Just read the article. Well ####. Also, pics of the assistant please.

I'm thinking about SAN for the very long term.

HUGE dividend, fairly solid fundamentals... I wanted to buy it when it was $7.5, but even at $8.75 it still has some room to go plus the big dividend.

Kinda shuked as to what to do with this right now. Approaching what I had set as a floor.

Playing with house money, no? No harm in selling some or all, I guess, save for the capital gains tax (unless this is retirement account). I truly think they will earn in 2014 what the street projects for 2015 and I see $15 coming. Thing had a big run up...selling off is not abnormal. It's up 47% YTD.

November 26th, New Jersey goes live.

And I love - LOVE - companies where CEO's own big slugs and don't sell. This guy at Amaya is in his early 30s, owns 27% of the company and hasn't sold single share (he gifted 60K to an elementary school that sold the shares to prevent it from going under). We believe he turned down an offer for $12 a few months back.

So I should buy immediately, the next dip or would you like to pay me to not buy?

I would be if I hadn't bought 3 times my original stake. Still VERY happy with the results. I had just set a floor to sell off about 25%, and it's coming closer than I thought it would at this point. I'm balancing the discipline of what my brain said I should do several months back against my inherent greed.

Is there some reason I can't even find this company's stock listed on the site I use to buy and sell?

Some clarification on MRIC. According to my cousin's husband, he's a successful investment/stock guy and you wouldn't know it, he's very cool, he says:

I dont gamble...I make strategic investments. I like it enough to own more than a few thousand shares
FWIW

All of you need to own a 3D Printing stock by the beginning of 2014.

Look for WAG to take a nice bump too, Obamacare + they upgraded their pharmaceutical supply or some nonsense.

Edit: I think Verizon is also a safe play.
