Guys any thoughts on international ETF/Funds being at somewhat of a value compared to US or just as much of a crapshoot?

On a value basis both developed and emerging markets are cheaper than US equities.  But momentum is a real thing and lord does the US stock market have it right now.

I'm in for 1,000 shares of AAPL at $173... If it drops below $168, I'll eat $5k, but I can sit and handle paper losses holding the best company in the world.

I think the R/R here is excellent and this is on a mission to crack $1T over the next 6 months.

I also think dips on AAPL are prob worth being bought until something changes.

Sorry SLB, you'll get it back... Everyone has a misstep at some point, just need to make sure you remember the feeling, learn a valuable lesson, and don't repeat.

Sold my remaining shares of TVIX for a loss of !8,420.   Correction should be right around the corner.  #### me.
Ugh, sorry. Did you read that link I gave earlier about wash sales? No idea if it would have made any difference in this case, but good to know for the future IMO.

Day 1, $500 paper losses.

Have a look at Xylem. It has run up a lot in two years but I think it still has more room to move.

Demand for water doesn't seem likely to decline.

Sort of a play on the products you believe in thread, what are you guys investing in because you know the product and think the value is not fully reflected in the company valuation?  Wish I did this with Amazon a while ago.

Im looking at netgear.  Old school tech with relatively low market cap.  I recently bought the orbi mesh router and very pleased.  Also looking at home security and their Arlo cameras look to be a market leader.  Seems like with increasing home automation and dependence on strong wifi and wifi enabled devices these guys have a good play.  Thoughts or any products you believe in that represent investing opportunities?

Apple fighting with this $900B market cap number - without a market wide selloff, I don't see how it doesn't win this battle... Then it's a ride to $1T.

Everything I've read on iphone X sales has been stellar and their guidance was stellar, if they blow that out, could see the trillion when they report next quarter.

Home security / home automation is SUPER CROWDED!

Off the top of my head, companies making plays in the space:

Comcast, Cox, AT&T, ADT, Simplisafe, Hive - that's just first to mind, some big boys swinging in there, and I'm sure the list is about 4x that if I really dig.

As I'm doing some Monday morning reading, Apple is about a dime off their 52 week high. Hoping for a close above $174.26.

I’m debating buying more, have bought in twice before at a basis of about $118. I sometimes get too complacent patting myself on the back when up and pass up the opportunity to add more of a great company. I’m 20 plus years from retirement, don’t want to jinx it but as a long term investor I feel it’s one of the best opportunities out there right now.

SKT getting whacked by sympathetic pains from CBL debacle.  Probably buying more tomorrow and average down a bit.

Listening to SNAP's earnings call, it is so clear nobody understands media. Dropping your prices by 60% bc you can't reserve any media directly and are moving everything to a self-service platform isn't good... 400% more ads at 60% lower CPMs is awful! Consumers don't want more ads - is their goal to just flood the app with nothing but ads? That doesn't bode well for growth.

Worst earnings call I've ever heard, Wall Street like the general public is pretty ####### stupid... I'm rolling the dice with a short at $12.7, 500 shares... It breaks $13.55 I'm out.

I have to imagine it is a group of 20 somethings buying this right now because anyone listening to this has to see what a disaster they are... This company will never make money unless by some miracle a sucker comes along and buys them.

Think I'm done with these quick scalp trades.... At best in the long term, they're a net even, at worst, they're like above. Should've just sat tight.

FSLR going off.  That's what I bought when I couldn't get into CBLLX.  Sometimes frustration turns to elation.  In at $37.50, trading at $58.50 right now.
Up to $61.80 now.  The SEDG I bought at $18.14 is up to $36.40 in after-hours trading.  I wish I'd dumped 10 times what I did into this account.

Anyone know when the solar free-ride is going to end?  JKS is my "dog" at this point - in at $17.89, now at $26.92.

Where the #### are you buying your acid, Washington Square Park?
:lmao:      I also disagree with the analogy.

I would say TVIX is more like a hot broad that bangs the hell out of you but she's a ##### and you swear you'll never go back for more but then the next thing you know there you are again.

I'm long 1000 at $10.... needless to say I'm not happy.

that said I went long 2000 GEO a few weeks back so it's not all bad
I'm only long 200, but it's just another long string of failures. I have the anti midas touch in the market. Hard being a permabear in this market. "The markets can remain irrational longer than..."

I'm shorting cat burglars

The last time I took mushrooms had to be about 7-8 years ago. I remember this feeling of nausea, confusion, & paranoia... I was in a bathroom making myself vomit in the hopes of somehow eradicating my system of it... it was hours upon hours of hell.

Will not repeat, I'm too old for that #### anyways.

I'm not sure if the comparison is apples to apples though.  Netgear is a manufacturer, the companies you reference are largely resellers...although I do think some of netgears play is to get more into the subscription/service business tied to their hardware.

When I was in college I was watching a remake of Twilight Zone where the focus character wanted to go back in time and "watch the wall melt" with his wife like they used to do.  I was shrooming with some buddies and will never forget it.  Probably because I wish I could go back in time and watch the walls melt again.

Yeah, I know, responsibilities #### you suck a #### #### you

Microdosing is your friend.  :P  In all seriousness, I think there is great benefit to it, but like you mentioned, responsibility makes it hard to 'grow your horizons'.

Roku is a beast. I don't own the stock but I gotta say, I really like their product. So much better than the Google chromecast.
