Gotta be honest, though;

my gut says this was a quick hit and run, they killed it, and made a lot of money. They know data is coming soon, and the risk far outweighs the reward, I suspect they could be gone. Although, they shattered confidence in their plundering, ####### scumbags.

I was in the group who got all my stops triggered yesterday. Was in since December. Swore I was done with it and enjoyed my own little "Boiler Room" episode.

...Bought back in this morning
Same. I was in and out on the way up so my cost basis on these shares after wash are now at essentially the ATH. Good times.

Let’s just hope it’s released promptly. It does just say after 9:30AM PT. Not at 9:30AM PT.

How awsome would it be if they lead at 12:30 est with a presser that said “the results are in and they look gosh darn fantastic”

The shattered confidence may have been a favor though.  Sometimes the elation of the gains, and the feeling that it can't go down, is a huge risk.  If the drug is solid, the earnings will come, but perhaps some of the air let out of the balloon is a good thing.

So is TVIX going to be delisted?  If it did what would happen to sharss if you own them?
Yes going to be de-listed.  Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here but I believe shares go to 0 if you have any on the de-listing.

When are we getting the mild/moderate data? That's what we really need. That's basically the entire population, we need that data.

Test positive for Covid, 2 week regimen of Leronlimab.

I believe every time i've tried to time the market, I've been wrong.  Easily 0/5, and I'm usually a fast learner.  For years I sat on my poor experience of not trying to time the market because I suck at it, and yet I tried again.  And failed.

Each time I fail, I miss out on a significant gain as you not only have to time the sale, but you have to time the buyback.

At this point, I've learned my lesson.  I'll buy the dips on stocks I care about, but not try to time it otherwise as I'm a buy and hold guy, not much of a day trader at all.
This guy gets it.

I just felt naked without them. Back in at a much smaller stake now so way less skin in the game.

Looking to sprinkle my CYDY winnings for some longer term stuff.

For those in on SE why do you like it so much? I got a bit and think I will add more but hate getting it at ATH (but with that chart is there any other way   )

I don't remember who was on this early so sorry I can't tag. Anyone?

They're announcing a distribution agreement with a major pharma company - is that news to you guys?
I thought an agreement was already in place to push out doses if/when approval was granted. Is that the same thing?
The video linked above I'm watching, its' like an announcement of an announcement that will be coming.   He says he'll be signing it maybe later today and announcing shortly.

"I'm very pleased to say that today ...very soon after this interview I'll be signing a distribution agreement with a very well known pharmaceutical, and we'll be announcing that hopefully this week, if not monday."

What money? If it goes to 0, there's $0 money.

When you buy a stock, you buy it from someone. You give that guy your money. You don't buy Amazon stock direct from Jeff Bezos. You buy it from some guy who had it before, probably some working stiff somewhere in Ohio or Nebraska or somewhere who had it for a few years and is now retiring or whatever. You buy from Joe Schmo, he gets your money, you get his shares.

Remember the stock market is not a store.
???  If own 10 grand worth of TVIX and it gets delisted, then goes to zero........what happens to my 10 grand?

My understanding is that they have a manufacturing agreement, but not yet distribution.

Then it seems that his pseudo-announcement is news.  I transcribed it roughly here:

"I'm very pleased to say that today ...very soon after this interview I'll be signing a distribution agreement with a very well known pharmaceutical, and we'll be announcing that hopefully this week, if not Monday."

Before that he was talking about not just the good results, but ability to distribute...then went to that quote.  Weird to get out ahead of an official announcement, but I guess that's how they roll.

I think the implication is why would a “well known pharma” sign a distribution agreement for a drug that ain’t going to work.

The same thing that happens if the stock goes to zero for any other reason.  Your $10k is already in someone else's pocket, what you own are shares that are effectively worth whatever someone will pay for them.  If it gets delisted, the demand for the stock presumably declines drastically.

Interesting.  Hard to take anything away from the video either way.  Stock price seems to agree.

If they announce distribution with a Big Pharma (not some little #### they describe as big pharma), I'd think that would help the share price.

Some highlights from the NP update:

- Media and Big Pharma have been in contact and want to discuss trial results once available

- 87th patient in the 75 trial was enrolled 2 weeks ago today.  So today is the 14 day for last patient enrolled.  Need to do a bunch of behind the scenes work the will unbind and release study results

- Critical trial - 120 patients enrolled, unfortunately have been quite a few deaths.  I wasn’t surprised by this if these are the worst of worst cases and 1/3 getting placebo I believe you would expect a fair amount of deaths

- FDA could allow interim analysis

- not worried about how quickly if will be approved but rather how quickly they can distribute

- distribution agreement potentially to be signed today/this morning and hope to announce this week or by monday

- Mexico - hope to start very soon.  Mexico will also use US results

-HIV update -  I had to take a call but sounds like some big updates here and looking to get approved for emergency use and eventually ask for Break Thru Designation

So, in the past 2-3 weeks, has AMZN closed down more than once?  That stock is up every.single.day.  Will be at $3,000 here soon.

You don't have 10 grand.  You have 100 pieces of paper (shares) worth 10 grand.

Hypothetical scenario:

Walking Boot has 100 shares of TVIX "worth" 10 grand.

You pay 10 grand to Walking Boot for those 100 pieces of paper that each represent a share of TVIX.  Walking boot now has 10 grand.  You have $0 but have those 100 pieces of paper.

TVIX gets de-listed, those pieces of paper are now worth $0.  Walking Boot still has the 10 grand you paid for them, you still have $0 but have those 100 pieces of paper which are now worth $0.  And you don't even get a physical piece of paper anymore to boot.

Your shares are only "worth" 10 grand under the assumption that someone is willing to pay 10 grand for them, based on the last price someone paid for them.  There is no 10 grand in actual dollars associated with them, it's just the intrinsic value of what you hypothetically could sell them for.  If the stock gets de-listed and no one can buy them, that intrinsic value becomes $0 because you can't sell them.  So in this glorious game of hot potato you got left holding the potato when its value went to zero.

Any talk of uplisting? Sadly "work" is getting in the way of watching for myself.

Someone mentioned being hesitant to buy as they read on Seeking Alpha that the books might be cooked. I'm wondering if there was any real proof, or if it was just an assumption, because of where they're headquartered.
Sea Limited: Skeletons in the closet

It's behind a paywall so I couldn't read it, but enough to get me to dump SE and chase CYDY gains instead.
Guess I need to use today's 8% growth to liquidate my SE position.  14% up overall since purchase.  Makes up for my AXP debacle.
I dunno, I think I'm going to continue holding/adding for now. If there's more smoke I may reconsider, but I can't find anyone else who shares those concerns about fraud. No other articles, no tweets, nothing.

I want to comment on the wash rule. The way I read it, if you hold no position on it at end of year, and don't buy back within 30 days in January, it's meaningless and you can buy and sell all day long. It's hard to find it worded like that in the wash rule definition. Correct me if wrong, but since that is what I did in 2000 and claimed all loses, I believe it is correct.
Talked to my CPA and he agrees with what you wrote.

eta he said didn't matter so much end of year, as long as you waited 31 days after your sale for loss.

@ghostguy123 here's another analogy.

Walking boot sells you a Jeff Bagwell rookie baseball card for $1000.  Walking boot gets your $1000.  You have $0 from the transaction but have a Jeff Bagwell rookie card that you can theoretically sell to someone else for $1000, so it is "worth" $1000.

Tomorrow a story comes out about Jeff Bagwell molesting children.  Whoops, now no one wants a Jeff Bagwell rookie card.  That card is now worth $0.  Walking Boot has the $1000, and you have a worthless piece of paper with Jeff Bagwell's name on it.

Not a bad little update honestly.
It's a $3.4bn market cap company. They're at the point where they need to start being a little crisper. Investors like timelines. It was better especially the agreement. But so what is the timeline for the data to be released? Stock has been run up in anticipation of that and it doesn't seem like a near near-term event.

And here I thought Bagwell was a standup dude. I've got more Craig Biggio cards in the basement than I can count. That dude never got enough respect.

Dangit @Walking Boot!!!  Why'd you hose a fellow FBG like that.  SHAME.

And to be honest, he could fight fire with fire. Look at what Gilead did with Remdesevir. Just let Mentefiore or one of them leak data to the NYT. He also did not say how long the data process would take.

I wonder what a Craig James rookie card goes for after it was learned he killed 5 hookers......

For all his faults and the dolt he comes across as, he doesn't seem disingenuous. I think he already has a read on the data and he sounds confident...

I also wish the production value was better and they were better on investor relations.

But, being realistic unlike most other $3.4B companies these guys have about 12 employees, no revenues and they are selling their warrants to keep the company afloat.  The fact they are getting as much done as they are is sort of surprising.  Who knows what the manu/distro deals look like.
