Any $TTD holders here? I owned it at one point but sold quite awhile ago (I just panic checked an IRA that I used to own it in that I don't look at regularly to make sure!).

Down 31% afterhours with their earnings (which were fine) and Q4 guidance (which was not). oooof.

My DIS clawed back to green.
Crypto is on a very nice run. I've kept some ETHE, even after dumping my meme stocks.
The other end of my portfolio (deep red) is TGT, F, and clean energy stocks. Still holding, though.
TGT will come back over the next 12 months.
@Todem how much % upside you think TGT has over the next 12-18 months? Return to all time highs, or not quite that? I want to jump in and usually ignore the noise but all these bashers talking about their theft problem and how folks are boycotting them for being woke etc has me nervous. Are their fundamentals still solid? If so, this investment right now could be loads of free money!

The valuation is cheap down here....4% dividend yield. We are a Target family. $150 is my “target” price over the next 12-18 months. I am a believer.

Tech stock watchlist alert:

TTD

The Trade Desk.

Going to start a position in this really good online advertising company. Their IP is very good and to me makes them the leader in the customized algorithm advertising space.

This is a long term type of hold and being down 15% (opened almost 20% down) I see a nice entry point today.

Taking half of my intended position today. And we will see how it moves next week.

If you don’t have a position in DEO

Start one today.

Never heard of this one, so is this it? Do you have a catalyst or a reasoning why this is buy for you?

Diageo plc, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production, marketing, and sale of alcoholic beverages. It offers scotch, gin, vodka, rum, raki, liqueur, wine, tequila, Chinese white spirits, cachaca, and brandy, as well as beer, including cider and flavoured malt beverages.

I have talked about this one since 2020 when I started posting in here.

I love booze companies.......and this is one of the finest in class.

A staple and defensive position for sure. It’s on sale.

Guinness stock? I'll have a few!

TGT earnings beat; up 14% premarket.
LFG!!!!
It’s a nice bump but it’s been leaking for a while. It was only 4% above its 52 week low on Monday. I just looked and didn’t realize it was still 60% off it’s high in 2021 on Monday. Still nice to see it jump off the lows if you own it.

It’s why I said it represented a great value play last week. I look for straw hats in the winter.

Oh dang didn't realize TGT earnings was this morning. I've been accumulating for the last month but was planning to buy another big batch after it didn't move as much as some others yesterday. Whoopsie.

Uranium spot price about to hit $80 and the stocks have all been on the hop. There's a lot of moving parts here, but the US and Russia are negotiating about as well as the house republicans to keep the crucial relationships we have in place friendly and ongoing. Russia threatening to take their ball and go home. Meanwhile, the Kazakhs have been selling whatever they can to the Chinese and the Kazakhs have very little in the budget for new mine production.

I'm playing this with DNN - Denison Mines. They not only have meaningful production capacity in Canada but have 2.5 millions pounds of U3O8 physical uranium stored at an average cost of $29/Lb. Back in 2006/2007 when uranium was at all time highs, this was a like a $20 stock.

Can somebody turn the money machine back on

I unplugged it and plugged it back in. See if that helps.
I went all in on $TQQQ back around mid June. Up around 40% since then. There's still more room for the run up before the blow off the top that sends us back multiple decades.

When that first starts, and you will know when it starts, just short the indexes...

I like TQQQ but I don't have the stomach to hold it during dips like we had in Sept/Oct. When I see that happening I swap it back to regular QQQ (or sit out altogether and let it pass). But it sure has been nice these last 3 weeks.

Thoughts on LUV? I see it may open below $23 today, it's a five-year low and more than 60% off its high from spring of 2021.
I have always stayed the hell away from airline stocks…..simply too unpredictable for my tastes.
I have a good size loss in LUV, would you ride it out this low? Or tax loss harvest and get back in in a month maybe? Any reason it would pop in the next 30 days, doubtful I assume?

Get back to you on that Monday

Took a gamble a few days ago on some WW stock at 6.66. It hovered in the 6.30 area and looked prime to drop into the 5s but surprisingly on Friday afternoon it soared to almost 7 and closed about there. My goal is a 20% swing trade so looking to exit around 8. The chart is crazy, very volatile, moves up and down on air.

I would harvest it and get back in after the 31 trading days are up.

I see no catalyst.

Added more today. I think we're going to see a longer, sustained uptick in physical uranium, which will no doubt lift all the miners, even the crappy little ones that hardly produce.

Up a bit already

Talking around the table last night and the idea of hydrogen-powered cars came up. todem, you still high on BLDP as a long term hold? ? It's about 90% off its high from a couple years ago. Are you accumulating?

I was so enthusiastic about Hydrogen and this particular company.....the USA is not committed to this right now. They went EV.....which blows my mind when the infrastructure for hydrogen is already in place. But that’s another discussion.

This stock BLDP is a lotto ticket type stock. And when I talked about 3 years ago I said that I would take a position but not put a ton of money into it.....it has that 5 bagger potential. But now it has been beaten to a pulp.....so most of you are probably looking just to get back or get close to your original investment.

Look....I still believe hydrogen power is really the best alternative.....but until this country embraces it......I am lukewarm on anything now with Hydrogen. And I think it’s a terrible long term decision. But those things can change on a dime with new leadership......so it is a hold. Why would you sell down here? I would not put more money into it right now because the future is extremely cloudy for the technology. Ballards IP is really good.....maybe best in class. Being bought by a big player (like Cummings) is is big hope in the future.

But I can’t endorse in good conscience plowing more money into it until we get any type of clarity on this energy source being used on a massive scale.

So, at least in total dollar terms (not counting inflation, for sure) I just got back to where I was 1/1/22. Almost 2 years. Still technically down 3% on investments, but savings makes up for that. Given that the market is still 4.5% down and bonds are 12% down that ain't too bad.

Don't even want to know what I'm still down in real terms. Inflation is a stone cold killer.

Been riding Spok. Has gone from $6 to over $17 and pays a sweet dividend. It was a phenomenal dividend when the stock was at $6. Now it's just sweet. But I'll take the run up in share price, too.
