AMD up after record revenue and bolstered sales forecast
I got too greedy. I picked up some at 393, but should have gotten more there rather than trying to catch a bottom. The lowest MSFT has been this year is $387, I bid 388 on 20 shares AH (currently 394)
Good try. Good buy, nonetheless. I’ve moved to QQQ to avoid the big tech swings. If I were to get into a single megacap tech, it would be MSFT.I got too greedy. Probably shouldn’t but I’m selling some today on the news in the Middle East. Seems like a massively destabilizing event. Holding and maybe buying more XLE, though.Tough day to decipher.
Tech rebounding strongly
Hamas leader killed
Iran days it's their duty to retaliate
Fed meeting this afternoon.
I'd normally bump up my UVXY position here, but instead I pared.
Angry tech is dangerous to bet against.
The last time we had a similar concern (April), Iran "retaliated" with a well-telegraphed drone and missile strike that was mostly intercepted before getting anywhere. I imagine these nations will all orchestrate a similar face-saving event this time around, too.Probably shouldn’t but I’m selling some today on the news in the Middle East. Sometimes it works out quicker than you think.Got a second chance at this this morning and hit it.Pretty close to nvda buying time again.

$TMDX againYeah, so technically I sold it in the hundreds. I remember someone posted in here about how it jumped up a ton and I went to the stock and was like WTF, why did I sell and then I looked at the 1 year chart and saw the old prices. Found a reverse split article and felt better about selling way back when.went so low they did a 1-100 reverse split, which I honestly didn’t know was possible.is that true? That’s hilarious.
Our moon biotech picks in here have been less than stellar in the end. I guess that makes sense as I’d think most moonshots do fail. Still wonder what that Whyatt guy did with HGEN. He said he bought a ton (seemed true based on his cost basis lowering numbers) and then disappeared when it tanked. That and CYDY are the only ones that seemed to attract a good chunk of interest in here.
TMDX has done very well. But they already had an FDA approved product when it first came up here.

Hot damn. Wish I bought more than 100 shares but I’ll take a double since I bought it before the last earnings. Glad I bought that and CAVA when I did. Had plenty of powder and some underwhelming stocks that could have been axed to buy multiple bigger piles.$TMDX againYeah, so technically I sold it in the hundreds. My political affiliation. You know, people could talk about politics relative to the markets if:
1. You could all be adults and limit it to the markets
2. The hall monitors around here wouldn’t act like children and hit the report button as quick as they do.
Bought a little CLS this morning. AI stock, growing at a 50% clip, PE of 17. I'll nibble there.
I hesitate to bring anything growthy up here anymore because how people trade and scale are different and so are risk appetites but...We've got to be able to identify the beneficiaries of the AI boom. It won't only be NVDA. Maybe it's competition, maybe it's complementary services, maybe it's yet to be identified. Who will be the Oracle to Microsoft, the Dell to Hewlett-Packard, the Sun Microsystems to IBM?
Can Palantir be the software platform that companies rely on to leverage AI? They have a strong hold on government contracts and are moving to the commercial private sector. If they can do in private industry what they've done at the federal level, they will do very well...
I’ve been thinking about this a bit, too. Who else will benefit that hasn’t already gone parabolic? Thinking software companies like Adobe, SIs like Accenture, data center REITs, that kind of thing.
They're up big recently and today but $CLS is still cheap. Using AI in logistics, growing fast.
$CLS taking off again today. Did anyone ever hop on the $CLS train with me? Up around 50% since I mentioned it here in February. Forward P/E still only 16.9 but obviously it's been on a tear for a while now.I hesitate to bring anything growthy up here anymore because how people trade and scale are different and so are risk appetites but...We've got to be able to identify the beneficiaries of the AI boom. $CLS up another 4%.NVDA up 3% premarket![]()
@hooter311 know anything about Bitfarms? $BITF. Riot tried to take them out for $2.30 and it’s still trading at $2.18 premarket, might get hostile. I think I’m going to gamble on this one a little.
Run is over again. We're back to hating big tech and thinking the world can run without chips.Way to go Qualcomm. Semis continue to run. .
ARM beats, but down.
The good news for AI came from the META and MSFT ER imo. CapEx continues and they feel they're progressing. Not a surprise, but validation matters when people are comparing NVDA to CSCO.Run is over again. We're back to hating big tech and thinking the world can run without chips.Way to go Qualcomm. Lam getting the same treatment, and their guidance was pretty good, too. I think the message is these things are priced for perfection. Crush or get punished. Look at a 5 year view of PE or PS for either of them.Way to go Qualcomm. Semis continue to run. .

This week reminded me why I can’t own SOXL. Bought Tuesday afternoon, out this morning. Up 8% for the trade, but 15%+ daily swings are going to take years off my life.Run is over again. Days like today can be really hard to swallow, but also why I keep cash ready to deploy. Buy low, sell high is a f'n grind. Today is a day I'm buying. Maybe I keep buying the rest of the week, or month. I'll hold until it rebounds, and I do believe it will. This is play money for me. My livelihood and retirement funds don't get mixed into leveraged ETFs.If only it were 15%.This week reminded me why I can’t own SOXL. Bought Tuesday afternoon, out this morning. I bought a little earlier today, down 10% more from where I bought.
Just a fun one. It's currently the only non index fund thing I own.
And AAPL, MELI, INTC....and ****ing SNAP.Oh **** it’s Amazon reporting day
I'm ready for anything. The only thing that might surprise me is INTC posting at or above expectations. Seems like they're always a lock to come in under. And AAPL, MELI, INTC....and ****ing SNAP.Oh **** it’s Amazon reporting day
5 min... think they're all AH todaywhat time are all these wonderful earnings reports?
Should have knownAnd AAPL, MELI, INTC....and ****ing SNAP.Oh **** it’s Amazon reporting day
Surprised to see that our managed investment account is actually up .06% today, thanks to bond interest and dividends. Whew! I was afraid to look.
Stocks are also actually flat thanks to APD, PG, ABT, BMY, KO, TMUS and MUSA
Big losers are CCJ and CVX
Should have knownAnd AAPL, MELI, INTC....and ****ing SNAP.Oh **** it’s Amazon reporting day
INTCIt is my understanding INTC has a catalyst coming later this year with a new chip. I also believe that NVDA already has their next generations of chips priced in. Honestly, I don't know a ton about AMD.Because I think AMD and NVDA are overpriced and INTC is fairly priced. Why not just get NVDA or AMD? Why make it difficult? Yield chasing?
That’s fair, but in this case I would just avoid
all of them and look somewhere else. Intel hasn’t demonstrated they can compete or are even close to being able to, so this just seems like a way of trying to force a chip trade just to do a chip trade.
Good luck. I have no faith in them.
Here’s a techie article about that catalyst: https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-com...di-3-will-cost-half-the-price-of-nvidias-h100
Summary is that companies are actually building their infrastructure around NVDA products and those that aren’t (Amazon and Alphabet) are going in house. So, INTEL will be cheaper but will have to navigate all of that, in addition to (not in the article) not continuing to create inferior products.
This one is a little more positive: https://wccftech.com/intel-gaudi-3-...ound-15000-half-of-nvidias-blackwell-pricing/
