Blade Runner is correctly assessing that there were multiple high profile attempts to put Donald Trump in prison and so far he's still prevailed.
You can't blame the opposing team's defense if your team just can't punch the ball into the end zone. It's Trump's fault he has a strong goal line defensive front?
Let's clear some issues up front. If someone out there said Donald Trump likely did something, or multiple things, as President that would be worthy of being sent to prison for life - I'd say sure, that's probably true.
But I'd also say we have an established legal system where you have to prove that.
That's not a blanket defense of Trump, that's a blanket defense of THE LEGAL PRINCIPLES that are the foundation of our legal system. When you defend the principles in place you also defend everyone in our society over time. No, it's not always "justice", but it is the law. Notice I said LEGAL PRINCIPLES and not a raw pathway to justice.
And I'd also say that Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama don't want Donald Trump in prison. Because if one former POTUS can get tossed in the pokey, all of them can. And who are we kidding. It's not like any of them are immune to the same issue that it's likely each and every US President likely did something in office that should have him sent to prison. It doesn't absolve the crimes committed, but it's a discussion of the motive behind why Trump is getting protected from angles that some people wouldn't normally expect.
Don't be salty if you are a political tribalist and your "team" can't get into the end zone. Orange Man Bad isn't justification for having poor Red Zone execution. If you suck at converting in the Red Zone, it's only proof that you suck at converting in the Red Zone and not some other bizarre narrative you want to conjure up.
You don't like Blade Runner's personal politics, so you want to use that as a means to dismiss the very possibility that he could actually have a point. Just because you don't like someone nor their views does not automatically remove the possibility that they actually have a point. Lots of people despised Jose Canseco. And was he lying about PEDs use in MLB?
