Because Jaws makes the rankngs??Whats worse is right at the bottom of the screen, it showed projected stats of 114 rushing yards and 2 TDs!Man Id like to see the other 24 RBs in this league projected to do better.
VeryDid you guys really need to hear it from Jaws to know he wouldn't be very effective today? Being in Denver is one thing, lining up behind a sucky QB is another. Why would Denver play the pass? LJ will face stacked fronts all day..He may get lucky at get a shot at a goal line carry, but I would't expect much else..
I was going to say something about this as well...but forgot to post about it until I read this. Yeah...that whole segment was a joke. They kept showing the projected stats of what they thought each player would get and then they would tell you to sit 'em or start 'em. Larry Johnson was just one of the ones where they showed awesome projected stats and then have the gull to tell you to sit 'em. Great analysis you morons. If I remember correctly, they showed three other players with similar great projected stats or horrible stats and for you to start 'em (if projected stats were crappy) and sit 'em (if their projected stats looked great). Too funny!!Whats worse is right at the bottom of the screen, it showed projected stats of 114 rushing yards and 2 TDs!Man Id like to see the other 24 RBs in this league projected to do better.
AgainJaws is entitled to his opinion and Jaws did not project the stats that were shown at the bottom of the screen when he was speaking. How you people draw a direct correlation between the two is absolutly beyond me.Jaws saw the followingA top run D from last year playing a team missing its all world LT, who just retired, and a second string QB that hadn't taken a snap since 2001.It was not the smartest projection in the world, but it also wasn't the most outlandish. If you play in a TD heavy league, he plain and simply wasn't wrong. And TDs are what most of these talking heads seem to go by when making their predictions.I was going to say something about this as well...but forgot to post about it until I read this. what I was thinking. And TDs are what most of these talking heads seem to go by when making their predictions.
Okay...I see Jaws giving his opinion...then ESPN shows his predictions for the game below Jaws as he is talking about each player. How am I supposed to know that those were not Jaw's opinions with the projections?AgainJaws is entitled to his opinion and Jaws did not project the stats that were shown at the bottom of the screen when he was speaking. You are correct in saying that common sense would let you know that Jaws opinion and the projected stats shown on screen are not related... but you can't deny that ESPN missed the boat somewhere along that line though... either you let Jaws say to sit him and don't show the projections - or you don't let him say he should be on your bench... because if you do it like they did - you lose all credibility...I think I'm afraid to suggest common sense.Okay...I see Jaws giving his opinion...then ESPN shows his predictions for the game below Jaws as he is talking about each player. How am I supposed to know that those were not Jaw's opinions with the projections?![]()
Common sense would suggest that those were Jaworski's projections. It was a simple gaffe on ESPN's part. Not the end of the world, but clearly confusing and wrong.I think I'm afraid to suggest common sense.Okay...I see Jaws giving his opinion...then ESPN shows his predictions for the game below Jaws as he is talking about each player. Common sense would suggest that the projections don't match up with what Jaws was saying about the particular players. Common sense would also tell you that when a commentator is talking about a particular player and they flash projected stats for that player across the screen that the two would be related to each other. The projection idiocy is probably not Jaws fault but it is certainly ridiculous and entertaining and I can't see why we wouldn't laugh about it and bring it up whether Jaws is responsible or not.I think I'm afraid to suggest common sense.Okay...I see Jaws giving his opinion...then ESPN shows his predictions for the game below Jaws as he is talking about each player. Thank you!! I for one thought it was hillarious to watch Jaws blab like he normally does only to appear to contradict himself in the projected stats below. By the way, I can't stand Jaws...or M. Irvin...or Joe Theiseman.Common sense would suggest that the projections don't match up with what Jaws was saying about the particular players. his commentary is not based on TD heavy leagues, they are based on the same standard ESPN scoring that ESPN as a channel constantly pimps in commercials, segments and fantasy-talk. Jaws was dead wrong but sadly there is nobody on that NFL countdown that will hold him accountable..If you play in a TD heavy league, he plain and simply wasn't wrong. And TDs are what most of these talking heads seem to go by when making their predictions.
