strange league setup (1 Viewer)

I'm not sure if the commish was paying attention here...I kind of think he wasn't. I just completed a draft that only went 13 rounds, with 11 starting positions. Thats right - only two bench spots. It is really a weird thing - you have no bench to stockpile guys, and the WW will be plentiful. Right now, my two bench players are Matt Jones and Frank Gore, for example.

any thoughts on strategies here? obviously, watching the WW will be imperitive - not just for when waivers clear, but to pick up guys that get cut. QBBC and DBBC aren't really options, unless you consider using the whole WW, and hoping no one picks up whom ever gets cut. Any other thoughts?

You'll want to snag solid PK/TE/DEF once they come off bye to use the rest of the season, or for long stretches in the case of defenses.

I like guys who have early byes 3-5 for this reason.

2 for 1 trades would be nice, offer to take someone's crap K or D backup as a throw-in and use them if it meshes with your bye week.

Also you can look for a team who has PK/DEF on opposite byes as you, and work a swap. Might work with TE as well.

I like the early bye week thing...I'll look into that. Unfortunately, the league rarely trades so I have my doubts I'll be able to pull a 2 for 1.

Always play a week ahead. Get next week's D, or bye replacement WR/RB a week early, so you're not stuck on the waiver order list hoping to get the guy you want. Figure out next week's lineup before free agency is done for the week before.
