**Streaming Defense 2015** Week 15 - Playoffs: No time to get cute (1 Viewer)

Anybody else rolling out the NYG D tonight? They picked off Cousins 4 times last year in the game they played and really need this win at home.

Picked up the Browns at home against the Raiders
This is my call for the week. Home game against a shaky QB coming across the country after a huge comeback win, playing early.

They were pretty good against the Titans last week, and I see Oakland on par with (or worse than) Tennessee.

I dropped the dolphins for the panthers this week. The dolphins got me a 0 last week, makes it hard to keep them another week

if d Hopkins is out, maybe tampa d? they played decent against saints. without foster and Hopkins they may do something...
It was either Kc in Gb or tampa. i tried to get cinco on the waiver wire but someone bid 40% for them i did 10%. Nervous with tampa bay but it is houston with no real WR and no RB so praying for the best. :scared:

I'm taking a flier on either NYG or Wash. tonight. I haven't decided which is a better start to be honest. Washington has a very conservative game plan going on to limit mistakes on Cousin's end and with the nice 1-2 punch at RB, I can see them conservatively pounding it all night. Perhaps Washington is the better play? I picked up NYG but I might be changing my mind.

If I had to pick one tonight, I'd lean Giants. Home with a blitzing scheme and mistake prone QB to go against.

Was planning on sticking with Miami, but Cinci got dropped. What do people think of them, both this week and ROS? Atkins looks like he's back strong, which makes a huge difference.

Im rolling out Patriots in one league and ATL in another. Have the choice of ATL or IND and went ATL.
I went Atl as well and depending on the results, I'm kinda eyeballing keeping them. Expect lots of points from Ryan and Julio and they have a VERY soft schedule if things stay constant from two weeks. after dallas they have houston, Wash, NO, Tenn, TB x2, SF, Ind (iffy), Min and Car and Jax for playoffs.

Interesting. I grabbed them as a one-week flier, but hopefully they'll be worth holding on to. I think it's less about the matchups as it is whether Quinn can whip that unit into shape. You figure they'll get better as the season goes on and they work out the kinks.

Have the same exact question. Cinci just got dropped, so won't be able to utilize them this weekend, but they have been pretty good against the pass in terms of turnovers generated and getting to the QB - 6 sacks so far this season. They are, however, a little more susceptible to the run -- no rush TDs allowed, but they can be gashed for yards. I think it's a coin flip between them and MIA this week, just because MIA has potential but hasn't really shone yet this season.

ROS, I have no idea. FBGs seems to like them way more in Top 200 Forward (more than HOU and BUF who, while still having to show for it, have much more talent on paper). Usually solid Ds have emerged/proven themselves, but not sure what to think of Cinci's long term ROS outlook, as a streaming option and weighed against non streaming with preseason darlings like HOU and BUF.

This is a very interesting call. Depending on how they play the next couple of weeks, you might have uncovered the streaming gem of the year. ATL didn't do badly against the Eagles or Giants.

Any thoughts on good pairings with the Jets? Mainly when they play the Pats.
San Diego plays the Raiders both times the Jets play NE.
I don't think that is a good call but I am biased since the Ravens sucked so bad against the Raiders that I lost my game by 2 points. Not that it matters, but it smarts to lose by 2 on Marshall's TD at the end of the game and your K/D scores 4 and his K/D scores 38.

A lot of mistakes by Philly and NYG made it happen though. Let's see how they do against a decimated Dallas team this week.

Double digits for NYG D. Even if you switched to Wash you still got the garbage kick return.

Yeah I did switch to Washington and I lost 4 pts because of it in that league. Ahh well. Steaming can be such a stab in the dark and maddening at times.

In another league, I chose ATL vs. the Weeden led Cowboys. That could be interesting. ATL also a has a very nice schedule coming up vs. Houston, Wash, N.O., Tenn, TB, SF

In a very short bench league, an owner was carrying 2 DSTs (Seahawks & Panthers) for whatever reason; he also owns Demarco Murray. Last night he finally dropped Panthers to grab Sproles. I currently have Jets. Now I'm wondering if Panthers vs. Luke McCown-led Saints is a better play. Crap.

FYI Jacksonville has 2 offensive linemen questionable and neither practiced this week. New England D looking even better this week.

I'm starting to regret wasting my waiver pick on the Jets D. They're a very good defense but Fitzpatrick is just so bad that he will hamper them all year

Didn't hamper them the last 2 weeks.

Well that Panthers play didnt exactly work out this week. I'll probably stick with them vs TB though again.
I was just coming here to post the same thought. I was thinking of bailing on them when I saw that DE Charles Johnson is going to be out for a few weeks (b/c I was looking for any additional excuse to try something else), but then they traded for Jared Allen today. Hopefully, Kuechly is back this week as well.

Starting minny at home vs sd. Sd gives up its to opposing defenses and minny d looks good.
This one worked out for me. And I'm liking what I'm seeing from minny d. They might be a keeper.

This week against Denver isn't a good matchup. But I think they are worth stashing.

Yeah, Week 4 options seem pretty bad. I picked up ATL for the Dallas match-up last week, and will probably just roll with them again vs. Houston, though Foster's potential return against a D that gave up 4 rushing TDs to the Cowboys is pretty scary.

I can't pick any defense correctly. Forget it
This is pretty much why I love playing in IDP leagues and cant stand Team D leagues anymore. Its fun to actually find, play, start those individual ballers who make tackles and plays. I play in non-PPR more than PPR leagues, but Team D is >>>>>>>>>>>>>> more antiquated than non-PPR to me, and Team D is boring as ####

That's what I thought through the first two weeks. My four combined defenses in two leagues had totaled 7 points. But last week I went with Denver in one league and Arizona in the other. 45 combined points! Keep the faith!

My options are min vs den (good def and good matchup imo), cin ( good def, bad matchup), or gb (bad def, good matchup)

Leaning minny

Big league. Only about 7 defenses available. Rolling with Raiders this week

ATL run defense got gashed. Still like the schedule so holding but looking to start somewhere else this week.
