**Streaming Defense 2015** Week 15 - Playoffs: No time to get cute (1 Viewer)

I know you guys will think I'm nuts but I'm actually rolling for a 2nd week straight with minny defense at Denver.

It's seems nuts, but Denver does give up some good points to opposing defenses (although manning has played last 2 weeks).

Minny defense is playing at a high level. I'm thinking this will be a defensive battle and even if Denver wins it won't be high scoring. Maybe a 17-7 type game.

I don't envision minny winning me my week but I think they will be serviceable in a tough matchup.

Surprised nobody likes Cleveland. San Diego oline is decimated abs the chargers have been a great matchup for defenses

Does this team get sacks?

Is Rhodes healthy?

Whether we like it or not, D/ST plays a big factor in getting a win or a loss. A little science, a little gut, a little roll of the dice, some luck? Every site I see likes Carolina a lot, not only this week, but long term. Convince me, or I keep streaming. Or, I may just roll with Cincy this week? Whew...way too much time debating a D/ST! It's tough enough deciding between these three RB's and choosing two of em - L Murray, M Ingram, and F Gore. Please don't answer the RB question. Keep it to streaming defenses...

I am sticking with Miami one more week and like the matchup at home vs Jets. Do people think a team like MN, Packers, or Bengals would be a big upgrade?

Not really much available but I'm rolling with the Giants over the Raiders tomorrow due to their soft schedule coming up.

Im rolling out Patriots in one league and ATL in another. Have the choice of ATL or IND and went ATL.
I went Atl as well and depending on the results, I'm kinda eyeballing keeping them. Expect lots of points from Ryan and Julio and they have a VERY soft schedule if things stay constant from two weeks. after dallas they have houston, Wash, NO, Tenn, TB x2, SF, Ind (iffy), Min and Car and Jax for playoffs.
This is a very interesting call. Depending on how they play the next couple of weeks, you might have uncovered the streaming gem of the year. ATL didn't do badly against the Eagles or Giants.
How about that Atlanta D? Two TDs today against Houston, and the final one was on the final play of the game. So glad I picked them up and started them. Should be a fun ride from here on out.

Thursday should be worth monitoring if Luck will play or not. Houston has struggled but with Indy looking pedestrian on offense, Houston defense could really get going in Primetime.

Other decent looking plays would be Falcons at home vs Skins. Washington just had an emotional division win and will probably come back down to earth. Falcons have been swarming on defense so far this year.

Kansas City at home vs the Bears could get ugly with sacks and turnovers.

A sleeper play would be Jacksonville at Tampa. Winston has mastered the art of the pick 6 and the Jags defense is not the worst part of that team.

What about the Bengals ?

They play at home vs Sea.

Seattle's on a short week and their offense is going nowhere.
I was a bit dissapointed with Cincy last week but they had 5 sacks and a FR, I am rolling them out there one more week.

Looking at what's available, I'm going NYG or Jax in one. NYG, Cincy in another.

GB is very dependent on their offense blowing a team out it seems. St Louis seems to have hung around this year, giving up the 9th fewest sacks and only 4 turnovers.

I have Cinci but am debating KC or Atlanta. Will probably just continue to roll them out there. I like starting teams that are winning. More opportunities for late-game sacks/TOs.

Chiefs at home vs. Chicago (Cutler = jekyll/hyde and can throw 4 INTs or 4 TDs. no Alshon will mean more forte. how is KC's rush/screen defense?)

Atlanta at home vs. Wash (cousins sucks and reed is now out. can Atlanta stop the triple headed RBBC?)

Giants at home vs. SF (west coast team traveling east, but I don't trust the G-men who have a decent run defense, but Kaep and Hyde can run wild, esp given all the press/pressure laid on them after week 4)

What are thoughts on NE @ DAL. Belichick with an extra week to prepare vs. the banged up DAL O seems like a good matchup.
Definitely but even with the bye, they still have 72% ownership on yahoo. So may not be available.
I grabbed them for the Seahawks (don't like @Cincy with their O giving up points/field position) in 1 league. I can't believe someone snaked them in my other league I have Seattle. I really hate the waivers in that league, based on record, so I am always at the bottom every week. No chance to pickup anyone on waivers, have to do it the week before or your screwed. My other two leagues are so much better.

The Giants are still terrible IMO... watch Hyde go off on them
8th in scoring in my league and have a great schedule this year. I'm in
I grabbed the Giants after looking at both them and the Chiefs. Both had pluses, but it seemed like the Giants may match up better and they've played better lately.

Streaming has been difficult for me this year. I'm going to ride out the year with one of these on the wire: NE, NYG, or NYJ. How would u rank them?

Jets should be #1 then maybe NYG then NE. NYG who knows what they put out there. NE will give up a lot of garbage time points this year because i see them just running the score up then just playing laid back d

Landed the G-men in two waiver claims and feel good about it. Kap is completely lost. On paper - the Giants should crush the 49'ers. At home, prime time game, experienced HC that will have his troops ready to rumble and a defense that is decent vs. the run against an offense that has potential to run.

The G-men look to be picking up some serious steam while the 49'ers have regressed into being one of the bottom 5 dogs of the league. With that being stated, this is the NFL so a fix errrr upset can hit at any time. Kap has 5 picks and 0 TDs in the last two games. Perfect setup for an upset? hard to justify.

Was liking the Falcon D this week and it appears that there has been little interest thus far. Cousins can do his best impersonation of Cutler on the road and the hyper scoring nature of the Falcon offense might set the table for a lot of pressure on a guy that cannot handle pressure on the road. Can the Skins defeather the Falcons on the road? Hmmmmm

I am going with Cinci over other options. You are talking bad o line vs awesome d front. Add into the equation that Cinci probably has one of the best offenses in the league, I can see many terrible mistakes made by Wilson this week.

I tend to agree although I am intrigued by NYG. Their schedule has turned cake.

People probably know this already but Steve Spagnuola was the Giants DC in 2007 when they upset the unbeaten Patriots. He seems to be getting them into shape a little more each week.

I agree Giants seem like a good option, but I would point out that we are past due for the annual "Eli puts up an absolute stinker in a home game and the Giants suffer a huge upset" week, and SF would seem to be the perfect candidate. Now, that doesn't automatically mean the defense will perform badly, but if three of Eli's 5 INTs are returned into the red zone (the other two going for pick sixes, naturally), it could put the D behind the 8-ball.

You have been warned.

SF is just too unpredictable IMO. which Kaep will we see...the one who can run crazy and make things happen, the one who will get garbage time points (75 yd TD to Torrey Smith vs. Pitt comes to mind), or the one we've seen the past 2 weeks. My gut says given all the media attention to how abysmal they've been playing and how Kaep is NOT a pocket passer (as evidenced by his multiple pass attempts to Boldin's or Vernon's feet), Tomsula and Kaep will be more determined/focused to minimize errors, control the game and do what they do--i.e. let Hyde and Kaep run and play the read option. Call me a homer but I don't trust the situation enough to roll with the NYG.

I think a better play will be the Falcons at home vs. Cousins without his TE coming off a last second victory (potential let down on the road). I don't think Wash has enough def to control Atl which will lead to them needing to play catch up which will lead to sacks or INTs or 3-and-outs.

Not to mention that it will be Shanahan exacting revenge against his old team.
