I've been slow binging Halt and Catch Fire and it's very good... Seen that yet?
I watched Ep 1 last night and I'm already rooting for our little gang of underdogs. For some reason I thought this was a comedy; might have confused this with "The IT Crowd". I'm happy to see there's 4 seasons of this to pace myself through.

Holy cow, just watched an excellent show. It was on the recommended list and started it to see and got hooked pretty quickly.

Doctor Foster is a fantastic watch.  British show, very different than other shows I've seen and really well done, IMO. My wife and I looked at each other several times like "whoa, did that just happen?".  2 seasons are out, only 5 episodes in each. Just binged season 1 and about to watch season 2.

I'm curious if anyone has seen it and liked it. I will warn that as the first episode is going along, you start to think "ok, this is going to get old" and then BAM.

Highly recommend checking it out.

Kyle Kinane is Ep 3 of Standups Season 2. I nearly barfed up my dinner from laughing.
Does he do the Toby Keith bit?!  I've only ever heard it on Pandora from some comedy special he did (not an actual album), and it's one of the funniest things ever!  That and his under-aged beej story

He didn't do that bit. I looked him up on youtube and he has a lot of videos going back to 2012 (that I saw) and he doesn't really repeat any material from what I've watched so far.

Just watched first episode and looks like it should be good.

I've thought about it a few times but always went another way. Definitely on my short list. A couple weeks ago I was looking for stuff to watch not interested in much available so I started re-binges side by side of Breaking Bad and The Wire. Now I'm probably backed up for three four months with shows I haven't seen.

Watched the first episode and I thought it might be a show that the wife and I could watch together.

Nope nope.  Don't need her getting any ideas from this show.

Period drama based on the poet John Keats called "Bright Star". It was well acted with a mostly unknown cast. Jane Campion, for those interested, wrote and directed the script. It was a sad story but left me a little cold. I wanted to see, understand the relationship between Keats and his lady.

Watched 10 Cloverfield Lane last night and it was pretty good.

Is The Cloverfield Paradox any good?
I didn’t know all the Coverfields are tied together, now via three different perspectives. Paradox kind of tied it together more, hoping they have a few more of these since we’ve now seen three completely different stories tied to one event.

Finished "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" S1 last night. I haven't read Douglas Adams in decades but this felt very much an ode to him. Amusing, good lucking and fun with Elijah Wood as the only headliner.

Anyone watched "Troy: Fall Of A City" on Netflix?
Watched 1st episode and wasn't sold on it so I gave 2nd episode a chance....I don't think I'm going back. Just something about it didn't feel as good as many of the Netflix series out there right now. I usually like historic-type shows, but this one was a bit of a struggle for me.

I know I'm late to the party but Money Heist is pretty darn good. 8 episodes into S1.
I am a fan as well. Same crazy stuff happens that's pretty unbelievable but then again, the premise is pretty far out there. Still great though and really solid acting. I have 3 episodes left in Part 2. Hope to finish tonight.  As I mistakenly mentioned in the rental movie thread, I think I'm  with Tokyo and her ###.

Season 2 of Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) dropping Apr 6. (at least here, in Canada).
Finished season 2 last night. My impression hasn't changed. It was a solid series and well worth the time spent watching it. I'm happy with the way it ended although the denouement was over the top.

I’ve gone from Babylon Berlin right into Dark.  I think I speak German now.

Some solid shows being made over there.  I can’t wait for he inevitable American remakes.

So I've been re-watching and enjoying Parks & Recreation. That guy who yells all the time from the last two seasons? Awful.
I really liked this show but bailed once they tried a make a show called Parks & Recreation without an actual P&R department. Everything went downhill fast after that.

Yeah, the last two seasons jumped the shark. But still, great show.

Question for you and anyone else who's watched through at least Episode 5 of Season 2 (I haven't watched beyond that ,so please don't mention anything that happens after that episode in a reply):

How did Raquel figure out that her man was The Professor in the big scene?  I was watching on my phone and couldn't really tell.  At first it looked like she recognized the way he ties his ties, but then she called someone and asked about the orange clown wig which made me think there was a strand of it on his jacket I couldn't see on the small screen.  Was it a combination of those two things? Something else I totally missed?  TIA.

I started the Dr Foster recommendation out of boredom. Not a topic or genre I would normally watch, infidelity soap opera sort of thing and all, but I have to find out what she does that caused some of the comments in this thread. The writing is good if not predictable. The acting is solid.

She could see a strand of the orange clown hair on his collar
