:lmao:  I'm dragging my wife through fleabag.  Only like 2 or 3 in. If it doesn't get much better, I'll finish it myself. I'm hoping now that we finished the new season of The Crown, she'll warm up to it with the MiL in it.
I can't remember if it's a "getting better" kind of show...I think it kind of stays what it is- either you like it or not.

Watched "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" tonight. Liked it well enough but it doesn't rank very high in the QT ranking. It's full of ideas but doesn't quite come together. Brad Pitt maintains that easy charm he's cornered the market on for the last 30 years. QT clearly has a great affection for the story's place and time but it's a lesser work imo.

I need something new now.  Here's a list of things that I haven't seen that drew my attention, but not feeling strongly about any particular one of them.

Kingdom
Homecoming
Murder Mountain
Ken Burns' Vietnam
Broadchurch
Halt and Catch Fire
Safe
Flint Town
Mad Dogs
Carnivale

Fleabag ASAP

Just finished You  season 1

it’s a Berlanti show...it’s a lot of fun...kind of a Dexter vibe to it, but different...it explores love and obsession...some of it is guilty pleasure cheese, but some of it is really good and intense.  Joe Goldberg is a great twisted character.

i was entertained
Really enjoying this series so far.

Started the Apple show, For All Mankind- alternative reality space race. So far, completely enjoyable- liking it quite a bit.
This has been consistently good about 4-5 in. Interesting combo of fact/history and sci-fi. Learned about an actual amazing woman astronaut, Molly Cobb, who never actually got to space fly, but in reality did one amazing flying thing after another here on earth. Interesting character and arc in the show.

This isn't profound or upper elite tv, but its doing well with all aspects of the show. Genuinely recommend this so far- really enjoying it.
We wrapped it up last night.

After moving along briskly, with different storylines through the beginning, it gets a little hung up on a recurring plotline over the last few episodes. That plot has some melodrama that felt extraneous, but that's my only gripe.

If you're interested in nasa or even US history from the 60s on, I'd recommend. If metoo stuff makes you uncomfortable, you should get over yourself, but it's in here too. This is a really good show, and seems like will have a S2- which is great, because as alt/reality, theres no limits for them.

About halfway through The Witcher and still unsure. Superman has that Christian Bale Batman voice thing at times. Timing is all over the place and hard to follow. Acting isn't the best, though I think the lady who plays Yennefer stands out. I think she has a great future in acting....honestly. She just "converted" and looks outstanding too.

Going to get through it but don't find it as a must watch recommendation as of now.

British cop show, right?

Sounds original.
Yes, it's really good because the 2 leads are David Tennant and Olivia Colman. Top notch actors and their relationship carries the movie more than any of the mystery. It's basically about a murder in a small British seatown, the investigation and most importantly how the murder impacts everyone in the town.

No doubt the last four episodes are far better then the first four. Maybe as you noted it's because of the actress who plays Yennefer. She seems to steal every scene she is in.

Fleabag and Broadchurch, definitely.

One that's not on your list (or anyone's) is Funland. Very twisted tale set in Blackpool.

Fleabag is 16 episodes, half hour each, tells a full story and it can be in the running for best tv series in the last 5-10 years. If you don’t watch it you’re screwing yourself.

I agree in that the show seems to get better the further I go.

Wow, you're going all in here, huh?

I’d vote for Carnivale, although I haven’t seen too many of those others.  It was really interesting but canceled after 2 seasons I think so you never really get any closure

Murder Mountain
Ken Burns' Vietnam

Murder Mountain is a good story. worth a watch.

Vietnam is amazing. beautifully told. narrators voices bring an appropriate gravitas. the story of Mogie Crocker makes me cry every time i rewatch the series. if you're at all interested in this era of American history, this is a must watch.

hearing these vets speaking frankly about their experience, without holding back... their raw emotion.. it's not something you can experience often. each of the men & women then interview are so open. it's heartbreaking. just utterly heartbreaking. but i think important to see.

Just watched Don't F with Cats.  Very disturbing.  One question that I might have missed if it was answered.  Why was there three hands in the cat video (was someone else there?)

I've seen these four, and this is my list in order of preference.  Liked them all and would watch again (actually, still finishing the Confession Killer, but am enjoying it).  When They See Us was great, albeit a frustrating watch. Jharrel Jerome was awesome in it.

Broadchurch

Saw and recommend all of these, in this order.

If you haven't seen it, I'd also recommend Happy Valley on Netflix.  The seasons are a short commitment (six episodes), so each episode gets right to business with no "stretch it to 12 episodes" fluff.

went looking for this answer as well.  there was a reddit thread on it.

apparently the police said that one of his neighbors was coaxed in to recording that video.. she had no idea what Magnotta was intending to do. she was cleared of any responsibility.

One of the most disturbing and sad stories I’ve ever seen. Riveting though. Not sure who was crazier. Him or the group tracking him. Definitely think they fed his lunacy.
