Streaming or currently airing TV shows (AKA Netflix thread) (32 Viewers)

Netflix has not renewed "Travelers" for Season 4 . Which would be to bad IMO

There would most likely be cast change because of the restart. Marcy, David and Mac are dead, would they be resurrected? [ /Spoiler]
Ummm your spoiler is wrong..

He stopped version 1 from starting, thus those that arrived in version 1, aka season 1 never arrived. Thus the Bus ride at the end of Marcy and David meeting for the first time.

Prime but That Sugar Film. Australian dude makes a film in the vein of Super Size Me where he starts consuming the average amount of sugar per day after not having any sugar in his diet for years. I think it only takes about 6 weeks for his health to rapidly decline. Sugar is pretty much evil.

I watched a friend drink a large soda at Glass the other night. And he got a refill. Must have been, what 64 ounces of soda? Holy ####.

Punisher season 2 suuuuuucks. 8 episodes in and still spinning it’s wheels. Billy Russo is laughably bad.
I’m staying out of the show’s specific thread until after watching whole season, but we got in episode 1 last night and I was highly disappointed.  I mean, I love Frank kicking rear all over the place (wife and I high-five any time he lets out one of those Punisher grunts), but the 20 minute sex scene was all kinds of “why?”

I couldn't even finish the first episode of schitt's creek. Surprising too since I'm a big fan of "fish out of water" shows and movies and also a fan of Eugene Levy and Catherine OHara from their SCTV days. The 2 kids weren't funny and the writing really felt flat. I hate not giving a show more time to set up but just wasn't feelin' it.

The Bodyguard Solid A

Dam n that was a ride. So many twists and turns it was hard to keep up at times.

wondering if there will be a season 2

Saw the picture of Ted Bundy on Netflix and said to myself "wow, he looked like Zac Efron". Then I found out they are making a Ted Bundy movie starring... Zac Efron. I should be a casting agent.

Just watched Polar.

Ridiculously fun film. Almost Tarentino-esque.

Pretty strong recommendation to watch. An assassin about to retire and his boss wants him dead before he does.
All the reviews say it's cheesy but it sounds awesome. Definitely gonna watch it.

I gave it 4 episodes. It didn’t get any better.

Watched Watership Down with the kids.  Thought it was pretty good.  Not as violent as I remember the movie.

This movie was so freakin awesome. Hope there is a sequel.

I can't believe you guys like Polar. The plot is non-sensical, the assassins are hollow ridiculous caricatures, the "twist" at the end was as obvious as it was improbable and none of the "good guys" were particularly sympathetic.

And what was the deal with the goofy effects? Was the movie made to be 3D or something?

The "good guy's" girlfriend was HAF.

I can understand people not liking Polar (reviews were awful). But I thoroughly enjoyed it with some memorable scenes. I want to actually watch it again.

Polar is that assassin movie that just popped up on Netflix, right?  Looks pretty much like John Wick - Emo edition, that a fair assessment from preview?

Wife and I watched it (Polar) last night, mainly because it showed up first on the trending list and we didn’t feel like going through the “what do you think of this one?” process for finding something to watch.  In hindsight, we should’ve done that.

Where does the movie title come from?  My guess is the due to the story to be polar opposites of itself.  Good guy is your classic assassin with silent-type persona and a heart after years of killing.  Bad guys were over the top eccentrics who really couldn’t pass as professional killers.  Too bad, as I actually really liked the good guy

You are looking too much into it. The movie is based on a series of graphic novels with the same name. It is supposed to describe the climate setting.

I watched the trailer for Polar and it started out looking good but once they started showing the cartoon character villains, I knew this wouldn't be for me.

Sebastian Maniscalco special was funny
We watched this over the weekend. I hadn't even heard of him until he was a guest on Howard Stern. Really funny set, especially the first half. Works clean and still kills. I see another one of his specials on Netflix, so I'll definitely check that out too.

He’s done about four specials. His early stuff is hilarious. His dad stories kill me.

Just watched Abducted in Plain Sight . Nuts is much too tame a word. Those parents should have been charged with something.
I didn't get it. I appreciate that the 1970's were a different time, but who let's a grown man sleep in the same bed with their daughter 4 nights a week for 6 months AFTER he kidnapped her. I just couldn't take listening to the parents keep wondering how they missed the red flags. They were 100% responsible of neglect at the very least, if not complicit in more.
