Terminal List on Amazon.  first 2 episodes very good.  action of course but so far the plot line is excellent.  so good in fact that I expect a derailment.  easily 4/5 so far.

Just finished watching Suits last night.  About to jump into Peaky Blinders next.  All you guys in this thread that bounce between 17 different shows all the time are crazy to me.

I've just finished through Ep 5  of  The Old Man and what started out strong for the  1st couple of episodes has really went limp and turned into a soap opera since introducing the Zoe character.
Gotta disagree.  One of my favorite shows of the past couple of years.   Better acting/directing/cinematography than half the bigger budget movies of the past few years IMO.

I am 3 episodes in.  Also enjoying it... need to wrap the season up so I don't catch spoilers anywhere.

Struggling to finish both The Bear and The Old Man. I'll see them both through but doubt I'd be back for a second season of either.

Like I posted earlier, I find The Bear to be overly hectic for a place that serves Italian Beef sandwiches. I could see it for a diner, where they have a million things on the menu. And the cousin ruins it, plus all the yelling. I like the new girl who is trying to organize things and the pastry guy.

The Old Man isn't horrible. It started off really well but I'm just losing interest.

Yeah, terminal list is good. The online critics crapped all over it because of Pratt's alleged political and religious beliefs (just like they did with Tomorrow War, which was decent) but it's very solid so far. I just watched the 4th ep this morning.

Solid action. Interesting plot. Pratt and others give perfectly decent performances. Solid 7/10 so far for me. I'm a sucker for anything special ops related

Disagree.  Because so much of who the characters are (and heck, let's face it, all of us) are based on our pasts, I felt the detailed look-backs were super helpful and interesting.

Just finished last night.  What a fantastic show.  Can't wait for S2.
I was hoping for a little bit more closure but damn what a great show. Totally agree with you that the flashbacks were key to understanding the present and everyone's motivations.

Especially when it's done fairly accurately with team movements and weapon control.

I loved the Bear. The cousin early on does seem like a cartoon character. I wondered about the size of the staff and having two dishwashers for a struggling sandwich shop.

Agree about Old Man.

Is this any good? Might start this next.

Two more episodes of Extraordinary Attorney Woo release today and tomorrow. Must see tv on Wednesday & Thursday nights in our house.
I thought The King’s Affection was pretty good, also,100 Days My Prince I really liked.  I  just watched a drama that was released in 2016 I think, it’s called “The K2”, always saw it on Netflix when I was searching for something to watch, but I never gave it a chance until recently, it was better than I thought it would be.  I see you watched Move To Heaven, I liked that one also.  One of my favorite’s of the Korean dramas is A Korean Odyssey,

I finally started to watch Barry. Season 1 was great, but I just finished S2 E5 and I'm starting to lose interest. These last few episodes have dragged. Does it get better? I heard good things about S3.

Agreed that the draw is Bridges/Lithgow.  I kinda liked seeing their "younger selves" and what a good job the producers or casting directors or whoever did in getting a couple guys that had a lot of the same mannerisms and looks.
I think that's called acting

Life After Beth (Hulu) is a zomcom.  Strong cast - Aubrey Plaza, John C. Reilly, Paul Riser, Molly Shannon, Anna Kendrick. However, this didn't live up to the cast - zombie romantic comedy that wasn't scary, romantic, or all that funny.  I don't feel like I got cheated out of 2 hours of my life, but this isn't worth seeking out.

Spoiler:

There was something fairly new here - people reanimate but don't realize that they died.  They don't remember dying and don't realize they're zombies, and can act fairly normal and speak... but it declines over time.  Interesting idea.

Irma Vep - Anyone watch this on HBO? I'm four episodes in and have quite enjoyed it. Its pretty funny. And just ... entertaining. And, of course, Alicia Vikander is great. As is Lars Eidinger - who I did not know prior to this.

Not to be confused with Life and Beth...

Check again. Nathan says he has something to admit (real) then his worst case rehearsal plays with the actor going off...then back to reality where Nathan doesn't admit feeding him answers. He says I think you're a great guy instead.
Yea, i had to rewind that part to catch what actually really happened vs, the rehearsal.  The rehearsal guy was good.  The girl in the fist ep was good as well.

His flow charts are insane...lol The apartment recreation and the rehearsal bar is off the wall insane...lol

Eh.  There's acting and then there's just nailing certain mannerisms, voice inflections, etc., that makes the acting that much more believable.  But thanks for the quality input.

Anyone planning on giving The Terminal List a go?  I guess it was a book or book series?  I don't read soooo...

But yeah, looks good, will watch.
Just finished.  Shame on me for sticking with it until the end.  Do not recommend, at all.  Feel like I was trolled - a Navy SEAL with a shaggy hairdo and a beard, seriously?  It's like Pratt needs a Kyler Murray type incentive built into his contract to commit to his craft.  The storytelling was ####.  If you want to commit to a 8-episode binge for a handful of average action scenes, feel free to share my regret.

I'm going to turn off my Amazon Prime auto-renewal to send a message.

Just started Black Bird on Apple, 3 episodes in and absolutely love it! Paul Walter Hauser is phenomenal, even better performance than his Richard Jewel.

I just finished Mare of Easttown and have to say that I loved it.  I believe it's been discussed on here previously. I think that's actually why I started it and glad I did.  First episode was slow but starting at the end of ep1 and through to the end I was completely engaged.  Kate Winslett is superb. She's not the most likeable character but it's easy to feel her pain. Excellent performances all around but have to say I was also impressed with the young lady playing Siobhan.

Doesn't appear that there will be a season 2 at this point so if you're looking for a short 8 episode series I'd recommend.

Had never heard of it, but just watched the trailer and this looks great, right up my alley.  Thanks!

Probably one of the most relatable characters in recent TV.

shaggy hairdo and a beard is what got you? That was about the only realistic thing about it

I finally saw Ex Machina (Plex - free for another 2 days or so).  That was a really good movie!  The special effects were really well done, and the story was really cool.  I think I might need to rewatch it someday knowing the ending so that I can watch for different things, but I'm happy I watched this.

Not just a man crush, I think Taron Egerton is going to get an Oscar someday.. and if there's any justice Hauser too

This should be an Emmy darling

I liked Terminal List.  just don’t understand why it was filmed so dark.  Haven’t had to adjust the settings on my OLED ever.  Nice twist at the end too.

Blood Quantum - AMC+ / Shudder. Canadian Mikmaq tribe zombie movie!  The first 30 minutes are the breakout, and I thought it was really good.  All of our characters get bitten.  Then it jumps 6 months forward.  Worth watching - some weird shots where they animated a couple of scenes, not sure what was up there.  Pregnancies in zombie movies are pretty awful, there was one brutal one and another that went about as well as it could.

SPOILER

The Mikmaqs are immune to bites, which is an interesting twist.  The struggle between saving white people who can turn and kill Mikmaqs or abandoning them (or worse) probably should have simmered for a little longer - it just jumps right to mayhem.  The grandpa was one of the biggest badasses in any zombie movie.

A fair amount of the actors are retired SEALS as well as the author of the series (who makes a cameo in ep 3). They did that for the realism and to give these guys some work. Came out better than I expected.

I’m so far down the Reddit rabbit hole on The Rehearsal that I need to come up for air.
Same.

This last one (Ep. 3) was setting up to be pretty good but it washed out.  His co-parent gal, Angela, is really.....interesting. Love the garden... :lmao:

The lengths he goes for the sake of authenticity is unreal. Doesn't seem possible.
