Anyone watch The Night Sky on Prime? I liked the first season and was hoping for a second.
Ep 7-9Thoughts on Traitors US S3 E9:
I really wanted Carolyn to win but she did herself in. She played the mission horribly and she failed to make a better case why Danielle should be banished instead of her.
That mission is a trap for the traitors and Carolyn stepped right in it. You can't try to steer the discussion toward the right answer if the group has pretty much decided on a wrong answer. The same thing happened in a foreign season that had this mission.
Said foreign season also had the seer twist and it sucked. Hopefully its effect will be benign here.
LOL at Tom and Dolores for voting for each other when everyone knew it was coming down to Carolyn or Danielle.
Despite Danielle winning the battle against Carolyn and being shown to have outplayed and out-talked her this episode, it is still hard for me to see her winning, though easier than it was before tonight. It would be a weird way to edit a winner. There is still a lot of suspicion on her, as evidenced by the "was that traitor-on-traitor violence?" discussion after the roundtable. No one with a clue should want to end the game with her, but a lot of the people left don't have a clue. And if Danielle-Britney-Dolores get to final 5 with a majority, it's over for whoever else is left (unless Dolores wins the seer challenge and learns that Danielle or Britney is a traitor, which is unlikely because she'd probably want to know the status of Tom if he's not murdered).
I'd say the following outcomes are most likely, in this order:
Britney solo win (likely with Dolores as the dumb faithful who loses at final 2)
Dylan/Gabby faithful win
Britney/Danielle dual traitor win
Danielle solo win
Faithful win with any combo other than Dylan/Gabby. I think Ivar is getting murdered tonight, no one will take Tom to the end, and Dolores has too closely hitched her wagon to Danielle and Britney.
Even when the dog isn't in the edit, it has it's picture displayed nearby (over a shoulder or whatnot). So funny.
Danielle may be one of the worst Traitors to play. Says she's moving 20 steps ahead, but does the most obvious things. Kudos to Carolyn for not allowing her to team up with her bestie as its an obvious stab in the back in waiting. No chance it's a win-win-win as Danielle suggests.
As they say... it's who takes out the other first. Roundtable showdown. Lots of emotion, but not much facts. Traitor Carolyn is not good at speaking coherently (still hard to believe she used to be a therapist with the looks, inability to speak calmly, and involuntary bodily movements). Out she goes.
Forced to use an ultimatum (no murder and double roundtable?) - bestie Britney is Danielle's dream scenario.
Easy (wrong) choices played out.
3 Coffin crew all gone
3 Cage crew all gone
1 of 4 housewives remains. Dolores low edit count
2 of 3 doe-eyed Bambi's remain. Big Brother Britney low edit count, but Danielle's #1. Bachelorette Gabby seems to be full of intel, but not vocally going at anyone at the roundtable. Seems set-up to be taken out without revealing her info.
Gotta think that Royal Ivar makes it since he's clueless. Vanderpunk Tom is all over the place and has a theory about every player, probably bringing him to the end. Both low edits. Bachelor Sam had low but recent edits and just taken out.
Still hoping Efron makes it to the end as the last smart one. If there's a murder, he's who should be targeted.
Final 7 going into the finale roundtable(s) and end game. Danielle seems like such an easy find by Dylan and Gabby. With Britney winning the money with no actions as a Traitor. I don't see someone using the Seer exploit on Britney (but definitely Danielle).
I just finished the last 2 episodes and sure enough there are 2 shootouts. Series has degenerated into not much but "who's going to shoot who next? And it's perfectly set up for a season 3 with a (gasp) shootout in the woods in the dark.Yeah, there are a lot of people doing really ungood things where Joe would probably ban them…I kind of like it but it's getting harder and harder to suspend disbelief. There are almost no characters left to like or root for. Maybe the young lawyer.I really liked it. Maybe a tad crazy land but still kept me.I'm 4 episodes into season 2 of American Rust. It holds interest but I can't yet tell if the plot is going to proceed believably or if it's going to veer off into crazyland. Right now it looks like everyone is either a killer or a drunk or a put-upon man or woman. But Maura Tierney is in it along with her famous upper lip so I'll see it through I guess. Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to watch season 2 now. I thought season 1 was pretty good for awhile but then Daniels seemed to fold up his character and just do whatever Maura Tierney wanted him to do. Also thought it wasn't as good as Mare of Easttown which is in a similar setting. But I'll still watch because Maura Tierney.Restarted American rust season 1 because it’s been so long, but looking forward to getting to season 2. Forgot how good I think the show is.
I have 2 episodes left.
I’m enjoying it more than wayward so far.it was pretty good. I had thought about it but it's sort of a "one season wonder".i am thinking the latter was a show i was an only submitter to in another thread...I had clicked on Paradise a few days ago and watched for a few moments and then I had to get up and do something but I remember thinking "eh". Picked it up back up again tonight and just got done with episode 2. Still wasn't the biggest fan of episode 1 but I think episode 2 was really good. Really makes me think of a more upscale Wayward Pines.
what is this one about take that to the bank brohansWife said lastnight that she hasn’t looked forward to watching a show this much for a while. Very well done so far.I've liked it too, up to latest release.Started paradise on Hulu and it’s really good 3 episodes in IMO.
I keep side-eyeing it, waiting for some issues, but the writing has kept ahead of the things I've been anticipating and the acting and overall storyline have kept it interesting. Tbh, I'm still feeling like the other shoe is going to drop soon into the realm of silly tv, but so far not yet

I would pass. The most recent episode contained a scene that had both my wife and I a bit squeamish.I suffer from a manageable case of trypanophobia* that made me turn off The Pitt in the first episode. Does it get better, same, or worse?Definitely must watch TV for me. IMHO - best medical drama ever.Yeah, the most recent episode packed a lot of emotions into it.If you like medical dramas, I would argue The Pitt is right there too. Absolutely fantastic TV.Severance is the best show on TV right now
Almost didn't give it a chance but The Pitt is fantastic. Not ashamed to say I cried during the last episode. Gut wrenching stuff.
*Fear of needles/metals going through skin in a medical setting. Not a huge deal but I passed out watching ER, can't give blood, have to be held to get a shot, etc.
Wasn't great, but it's only 6 episodes. The acting was actually pretty good - plot had potential but overall was pretty meh.'I have only read and heard negative things so I have been avoiding it.Nobody?Zero Day on Netflix is worth watching just for the cast, led by DeNiro.
We watched a few last night, and it's also captivating enough to make for fun tv.
we wrapped it up too. I liked it a little more than you, but as I've said a few times- it's good, but not top-tier stuff. solid 7 for me- worth the watch for: acting/casting and seeing a somewhat plausible/possible route for how **** might fall apart.Wasn't great, but it's only 6 episodes. Not mad that I watched it and didn't feel like I wasted too much time. Would give it a 6.5 out of 10
What's your opinion on Shoresy? I thought Letterkenny was as solid as it got, then I watched Shoresy and loved it more.Counterpoint: Letterkenny makes me laugh until I pee.
Watching it now and bored out of my mind. Don’t know if I’ll keep with it. I like Harrison ford in it but nothing else clicks for me.Also, the first episode of season 2 of 1923 is out. No one was talking about it. I didn't know about it either until it popped up in my thing.
The nephew’s wife? Think she was in it for a minute, he’s trying to get home to her or something idkWatching it now and bored out of my mind. Don’t know if I’ll keep with it. Is the breathy female lead still in it? Not sure I can take another season of her.

Late to the party, but finally started and finished Dune: Prophecy. Read books like decades ago but don't remember much. Watched the 80s movie and liked it. Watched part 1 and 2 of the remakes and loved them both.
Solid watch. Can't say I kept up on the history of the houses so I basically went into it straight up. Great storyline. Was surprised how quickly I took to the characters. Well done. Sister Lila is a damn evil troll. Ha ha. Ragnar, Er, Travis plays these unstable, psycho roles really really well. I might have missed it implied in the movies so I apologize if so, but when the hell did this story turn into the Terminator? Just can't recall this massive battle discussed between man and machine before. Maybe I'm dumb.

To answer your question, the machine war thing is only very briefly discussed in the original books and was Herbert’s plot device on why Spice was so critical to the galaxy. With no advanced machines/AI, spice must flow in order for interstellar travel and trade to occur. IIRC, Herbert’s son who wrote the prequel this show was based on as well as some of the much later (and much weirder) books in the series focused more on these details and background info. Originally the thing with AI being banned was more a social and philosophical choice that humans were too dependent on machines and such. I believe the sons “expanded universe” of prequels and sequels are what turned it into more of a full blown “war” against the machines.
The lead actor in it is the worst. Negative charisma.Hated this show.Lincoln Lawyer
bloated story
hate when they make the lead always the smartest guy in the room (like reacher on prime)
movie was better
would not recommend but I could see a lot of people enjoying it
My brother was a minor pro hockey player, so there are some things in Shoresy that really land with me. The side characters in Letterkenny were so much better, though - I have Letterkenny in my top 10 in the other thread, and Shoresy was at 75, so unranked. 3 college buddies on our group chat watched Letterkenny when I did, and all 3 have fallen off of Shoresy over time. Without the hockey touchpoint, it lost them. What's your opinion on Shoresy? I thought Letterkenny was as solid as it got, then I watched Shoresy and loved it more.Counterpoint: Letterkenny makes me laugh until I pee.
Do they ever explain how everyone's zipping around the solar system so fast? For a show that seems to get the physics right whenever possible, it's odd that it hasn't been mentioned through 9 episodes. Maybe it's in the books, maybe it's just impossible to make the show without some handwaving to avoid every trip taking 6 months plus. You should be in for a ride then, it didn't get me hooked until later in that first season. EnjoyI finally started The Expanse (Prime). I hope this keeps up its early momentum. I’m 5 episodes in. I know it’s based on books, so I’m hopeful that it will keep its focus on the main story. Good cast. I know it’s highly regarded, this could be fun.
Yes they will explain that. I believe it's season two episode six in the cold open. They have some very good science in this show as well. Ep 7 is pretty heavy... Very well done.I might get slapped but I sort of feel like after episode 4 Paradise hasn't been as good. We'll see where it goes.

Regarding US3, I agree with you that xxx is a terrible traitor. I'm shocked that they are still in it in that position.
And, I just finished UK3. Gahhhhh. I actually think it got a little better toward the end, when the 865 dudes that I couldn't tell apart were gone, but...
I really liked Minah as a traitor, but sadly she made that one bad move to recruit Charlotte. I didn't think it was a bad move at the time, though I was hoping she'd pick Frankie instead, but I had no idea how smart Charlotte was! It also felt like Minah lacked some energy at that point - I can't imagine how exhausting it must be to be a Traitor for so long. Once Minah was in the crosshairs, she didn't give much fight.
Charlotte was amazing, from her persona to her brilliant move on the Freddie thing. Seemed to me perhaps the most deserving traitor win and would have gotten it if not for the Seer thing. What a crock. Perhaps because almost every season ends with Traitors winning and they wanted to prevent it? I suppose they couldn't have known how Frankie would have played it, but it really ruined the season...well, not "ruined" I suppose in that the season wasn't good to begin with. So the winners turn out to be Leanne, who was supremely likable but a terrible player, and Jake, who I guess was just slightly deserving? Bleh.

Minah was great at staying off the radar, but her poor murder and recruitment decisions ended up doing her in. And she biffed the chessboard challenge in a similar way that happened in US 3.
I thought Charlotte's treatment of Freddie was horrible gameplay and would have been her undoing even if she wasn't victimized by the Seer twist. If a traitor is banished very late but before the finale so they have to reveal themselves, then the faithful need to pay attention to who they campaigned against/voted for just before being booted. It was probably the other traitor. She should have murdered Jake, and then Freddie may have been banished more "organically" just because the faithful were convinced there had to be a male traitor and there would have been just him and Alexander left. The way she threw Freddie under the bus gave him a chance to cast suspicion on her on his way out. Everything Charlotte did before deliberately hitting LeAnne's shield and throwing Freddie under the bus was brilliant, though.
LeAnne was likeable to the most of the rest of the cast but it did not translate to the audience at all. She came across as an entitled mean girl. This very questionable edit makes me worried that, since the same production team does the US version, Danielle will win US 3 despite being given an edit that makes much of the audience despise her. Jake, however, while he lacked charisma, has to be considered one of the best faithfuls to ever play. He was a bona fide traitor hunter and those people are supposed to be murdered well before the end. He benefited from terrible decisions by the traitors -- but any player needs a lot of luck to make it to the end regardless of what their role is. He had a very good social game that he was able to parlay into a ride-or-die agreement with LeAnne.
The decision to introduce the Seer so late in the game gives me pause about whether Studio Lambert really knows what it's doing, but Survivor has "survived" similar game-breaking decisions by production such as Redemption Island, Edge of Extinction and the hourglass twist, so hopefully they will learn from this and evolve the game for the better.
I liked her story but thought she was a terrible player, so while I felt bad for her last-minute banishment, she really didn't deserve to win. Of course, Leanne didn't much deserve it, either, but unlike what you've seen (I assume you've read viewpoints on her on Reddit), I actually liked Leanne quite a lot and didn't get the impression of an entitled mean girl. Very happy for Jake and very deserving win, even if he's bland. The latest episode did a nice job of showing/explaining the apocalyptic part of the post-apocalyptic story. We don’t always get that in these types of shows.Wife said lastnight that she hasn’t looked forward to watching a show this much for a while. I know it’s not for everyone, but have you watched Shrinking, brolassimo? It’s made by the same people and has lots of the same feeling to it.lasso is like the path of the brohan in a tv show format it honestly hit me harder than probably any other show ive ever watched man i dont know its strange because its just a tv show but holy cow does it get me take that to the bank bromigos

I keep side-eyeing it, waiting for some issues, but the writing has kept ahead of the things I've been anticipating and the acting and overall storyline have kept it interesting. Tbh, I'm still feeling like the other shoe is going to drop soon into the realm of silly tv, but so far not yet
I tried... I don't think he's interestedI know it’s not for everyone, but have you watched Shrinking, brolassimo? It’s made by the same people and has lots of the same feeling to it.lasso is like the path of the brohan in a tv show format it honestly hit me harder than probably any other show ive ever watched man i dont know its strange because its just a tv show but holy cow does it get me take that to the bank bromigos
It has been said in this thread already, but man Pitt is so well done. I seriously don't touch my phone while watching.
Also, why is someone chopping onions somewhere in my house?

In my opinion, best show on TV right now.
Zero day. Most posters on this site talked decent of it. I wanted to like it. Just couldn't finish it. Felt like an after school ABC movie. Cast was good. Story decent. Production just felt forgetable. We all have different takes on television and although most seemed to like this I simply did not. Imo
Just got a Netflix app notification on my phone that Full Swing S3 is ready to be watched. Can't wait to watch this.
Looking forward to ep3 which, I believe, highlights the Canadian open win by nick Taylor (Just got a Netflix app notification on my phone that Full Swing S3 is ready to be watched. Can't wait to watch this.
not bad, very watchable
Agree was very well done. All felt very plausible. The latest episode did a nice job of showing/explaining the apocalyptic part of the post-apocalyptic story. ok I have a question.
Maybe I'm too dumb to get it but why
does a natural disaster mean that there'd be nuclear warfare?

I got that but still seemed pretty silly of an explanation, at least to me , so I thought there might be more.
In regards to that...Spoiler
