Curse you Robbie Gould. When you missed your first field goal attempt, I was worried. When your teammate got the stupid penalty to knock you out of field goal range, I knew the fantasy football gods were sending me a message. When you doinked the second missed field goal off the upright, it was confirmed that I did something to piss the gods off and I wasn't going to advance.

Good luck everyone who avoided the Turk tonight. Especially to Hulk who has a similar team to mine.

Bullock is commonly enough owned that that will be a factor.

Why can't my guy Scobee get any love? :(

Oh, okay, I know why.... :kicksrock:

I'm done. Son of a b$%#!

This was my toughest bye week and lackluster performances by Hill, Martin and Gronk ( :( ), in particular, sealed my fate.

You know its bad when your top TE barely outscores your top kicker (by 0.50 pts).

:kicksrock:

I could've been a :boxing:

...but, meh. To those who remain...good luck and :headbang:

After posting I had no shot, I scored 201 points thanks to all my active players (and there are few) maximizing points.

Here is my depleted roster:

QB: Drew Brees, Joe Flacco, Sam Bradford

RB: Demarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, Mike Tolbert, LeVeon Bell (out for year), Carlos Hyde (likely out for year): Murray and Mathews points have to count for me each week

WR: Jordan Matthews, Jarvis Landry, Amari Cooper, Davante Adams, Kendall Wright (hurt), Eddie Royal (hurt): All 4 of my active receivers have to count each week

TE: Ladarius Green (hurt), Richard Rodgers, Ben Watson, Scott Chandler, Virgil Green, Garret Graham

K: Josh Scobee (cut), Randy Bullock (he's back!), Sebastian Jankowski

D: Chargers, Raiders

Basically all of my active players count. Is there anyone else whose team is still alive in a similar boat?

Survived the loss of Jamaal Charles much longer than I expected, but it was too much to overcome this week. I put together a very solid squad but too top-heavy with not enough depth at RB. My first time in the contest and it was a lot of fun. I'll be back next year!

QB: Brady, Bradford

RB: J. Charles, J. Forsett, R. Mathews, C. Artis-Payne

WR: J. Jones, D. Hopkins, B. Cooks, B. Quick, D. Adams, D. Funchess, E. Royal

TE: R. Gronkowski, T. Eifert

K: D. Bailey, J. Scobee (Ouch)

D: Colts, Jags

Using chart after week 9:

QBs - Brady (5) 1072 Dalton (4) 102 Flacco (0) 108

One of my few positions with unique guys. Hope Dalton can turn it up even more here.

RBs - Ingram (9) 577 Ivory (5) 886 Matt Jones (4) 391 CJ Anderson (1) 442  T West (0) 122 :missing:

Just when I though Anderson might become useful...and as for West, I think Scobee has a better chance at getting employed this year.

WRs - Julio (8) 1462 J Brown (6) 674 Megatron (6) 249 C Brown (2) 195 Harvin (2) 25 :bye: Adams (2) 1573 Royal (1) 1153 Hawkins (1) 22

If somehow Baby Hawk could get back on the field he could be a random wildcard. Only 20 entries left that have Megatron and Corey Brown so maybe that's my best unique angle.

TEs - Eifert (7) 1024 Olsen (6) 649 R Rodgers (3) 570 Chandler (0) 161

Rodgers stepped up this week  Still waiting for Chandler to have a classic random 3-TD game ;)

PKs - Gano (6) 220 Janikowski (3) 973 Scobee (0) 1143

I've gotten lucky with the 3 Panthers I selected.

TDs - Giants (6) 79 Tampa Bay (2) 152 Atlanta (1) 158

Terrible Giants defense living off of pick-6s. I'll take it :) Maybe JPP can get them to add a sack or two once in a while.

On to Week 10 :boxing: where good teams go to die :scared:

Plodding through, here; nothing spectacular but reasonably solid. Haven't been closer than 10 points to the cut line since week 2. Getting Mariota and T.Taylor back helps with Rivers' bye this week. Losing Keenan Allen hurts, but John Brown coming back should offset that some. And I get Kai Forbath in an upgraded situation.

Remaining unused:

C.Michael ($3) [maybe someday?]

J.Wright ($2) [will probably hit at least once]

A.Quarless ($3) [but I also have R.Rodgers]

K.Forbath ($2) [will hit eventually]

Bears D ($3) [very strange for a D not to have hit yet]

I own just 2 of the top 10 (Royal and Seabass) and 12 of the top 40. So if you believe uniqueness is important (I don't) I'm doing great.

At the beginning of the year I saw something about a playoff contest on fbg site is that format like this and how do I look into it?

#87th overall and my closest cut so far was by 26 points. That being said I'm not sure my RB's will be good enough to make it to the money. Have my best RB (Woodhead) and best WR (Julio) out this week, though I'm sure a lot of other people will be in the same boat.

I'm still alive!

Tom Brady(8), Sam Bradford(1), Mark Sanchez(0)
Danny Woodhead(7), LeVeon Bell(5), Ryan Mathews(4),James Starks(3), Matt Jones(1), Knile Davis(0), Cameron Artis-Payne(0), Christine Michael(0)
Julio Jones(8), Jarvis Landry(8), Cole Beasley(3), Tavon Austin(3), Eddie Royal(2), Tyler Lockett(2), Davante Adams(1), Markus Wheaton(1), Devin Funchess(0)
Rob Gronkowski(7), Richard Rodgers(4), Ben Watson(4), Virgil Green(0)
Sebastian Janikowski(7), Josh Scobee(2), Randy Bullock(0) -- he's back!
Oakland Raiders(4), Indianapolis Colts(3), Jacksonville Jaguars(2)

Bullock is back so I now have more than 1 kicker. Everyone WR was used at least once except for D. Funchess but it appears his role is growing in CAR. C. West in KC is blocking a K. Davis from contributing to my team -- never saw that kid coming before the season started.

Might be trouble this week with both D. Woodhead and J. Jones on bye - I need Gronk to have a big game I think to make up for them,

need big weeks from Brady, Gronk, Olsen, Forsett, Blount, and either Starks, Randle, G Tate or J Landry

Still alive, only players on bye this week are Julio and Stevie, so a lot of people should be in similar shape. Hoping DeAngelo and Maclin play this week.

How are you guys determining where you rank overall?

Was cruising along easily every week until this past week when I got knocked out by 2 pts or so. Not having a kicker finally caught up to me. Bullock got signed one week too late. A couple of years ago I finished 5th or 6th overall. I usually go with a lot of players. This year I went with more studs. Not sure what I'll do next year, but the contest is fun. Good luck to all remaining.
