Toyed with that route as well but you can get QB5ish and another guy QB12-15 for the same price. Tough call though.

As you see above, we did a 1QB team, but the guy is going to go "Fall Out Boy" (Light em up) on the league this year.
My 2Qb was a "1 team QB" for awhile, but I really like my new combo.

Yeah I go back and forth spending $3 more on QB and getting a combo I really like, and going down to 2 K.
I think that later bye week for that QB starts to push it. I would normally not even consider it, but the combo of Qb and week 4........it's very tempting, even if it only nets me an extra K.

I always seem to do poorly at this. I cracked the top 30 a few years back when Foster burst onto the scene and everyone had him. Other than that I think I made it past week 10 once since 2008. So you can pretty much ignore my team. But after the 1230981902 iteration, I think I've settled on:

I've tried the 30 team rosters, 18 team rosters etc in the past and seem to always like my team more around 24ish. This year it just seemed to fall around 20-23 consistently as I changed it.
Overall I'm happiest with this roster then I've been with the rest. So go ahead, pick my roster apart. I'm sure I'll flame out around week 6-7 anyhow

QB 2 ($26) - One stud, and one I think will put up consistently good and sometimes great numbers.
RB 4 ($79) - Two studs, and two unknown starters with breakout potential. Having four starters, all w different bye weeks, should help mitigate an injury to one RB.
WR 7 ($91) - Two guys who I expect to be top 5 FFL WRs at the end of the season, and then looked for great value and breakout potential for the remaining 5 slots
TE 3 ($39) - TEBC, and I think they'll combine to outproduce Jimmy Graham by the end of the season.
PK 3 ($9) Three guys that I like a lot with huge legs on productive offenses.
TD 2 ($6) Wish I had money for one more team, but hoping to get decent productivity from this spot with a minimal investment.
21 Total for $250

Good grief. Brees' week 7 bye is later than Rodgers' week 4 bye. Instinctive thinks that going with only 1 QB is risky and would normally not consider it. But he might since Rodgers is a top-2 QB with the earliest bye. He feels that going only 1 QB who is off week 7 is really pushing the envelope.

Sort of...the way I understand Dodd's explanation is that at the end of the main FBG contest, they'll go down the final list and award the FanDuel money.
That, if the winner is eligible for the FanDuel money, he'll be awarded both 1st place prize, if not they'll check the 2nd Place. If he is eligible, he'll be awarded 1st place FanDuel money, plus 2nd place FBG money. So on until they get to the bottom of the top 250. Should not all of the Fan Duel money be awarded, they'll go down the week 14 rankings (so they'll check the 251st team for eligibility).
So it's not really 2 separate contests, its a singular contest that awards a bonus if you're Fan Duel eligible.

Except that when it comes to eliminations each week you either move on in both or get eliminated in both. There won't be 2 cut lines (one for Fan Duel teams and one for non-FanDuel teams)

What's the best way to get a hold of Dodds? I live in Washington state and the rules state that I'm not eligible to win any prizes through footballguys. I'm ok with that and understand the reasoning. However, fanduel allows me to play which is weird that I'm allowed to play there but not here. So my question is this....if I deposit at fanduel, will I be eligible for their half of the money in this contest? I don't want to deposit money there if I'm not able to cash in on the big prize through this contest.
I'm going to send him a PM and ask this.....I will update if I hear anything back. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat.

I hope you are wrong too....I'm holding out hope that I think I read somewhere that Fanduel will be in charge of paying out their portion directly to the winners....not giving the money to footballguys to give out. I could be wrong....or maybe just wishful thinking.

If you win a BIG prize requiring authentication, we will send an email to that email address ASKING WHO YOU ARE and WHERE YOU WANT THE CHECK TO GO. The BIGGEST of the prizes need to go fill out a form verifying you are who you say you are and that you live in a particular state.
Now if you answer that you live in a place that is not eligible, then you are not eligible. Did I mention that we DO NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE when we email you?
