Followed by the inevitable realization that you can still change your team after the "deadline"This thread is gonna blow up in about 15 minutes when everyone starts posting their teams...
3 RBs?Didn't change my team once. Perhaps I should have.
QB - Tony Romo - DAL/11 - $15
QB - Michael Vick - PHI/12 - $9
RB - Jamaal Charles - KC/10 - $31
RB - C.J. Spiller - BUF/12 - $26
RB - Chris Johnson - TEN/8 - $25
WR - Andre Johnson - HOU/8 - $21
WR - Danny Amendola - NE/10 - $19
WR - Eric Decker - DEN/9 - $18

PK - Matt Bryant - ATL/6 - $5
PK - Justin Tucker - BAL/8 - $4
TD - Seattle Seahawks - SEA/12 - $6
TD - Detroit Lions - DET/9 - $3
Should be expected with the flex position. I think the winners this year are going to have 3 top-15 feature backs that both didn't get hurt and played higher than their respective cost position. I gambled on MJD, Spiller, and TRich, with Lacy as my only other RB. All four of those guys have different byes so I think it worked out nicely.Never spent so little on wr's
Yeah pretty crazy right?3 RBs?
Yup, I have all 3!Vick, Thompkins, Juilius Thomas will be on a lot of teams.
For the $9 price tag, it was hard passing up the upside of Vick. Perfect boom/bust pick for your backup QB.jah77 said:I don't understand the Vick love. He'll be injured before the first half of the season is over and/or replaced when the Eagles have a poor record and they want to take a look at other options.
I think it's where opportunity and price met. For example, I paired him with 2 others for roughly the same price as Aaron Rogers (I think it cost $1 more)... while we know Rogers will be great, he will also have a couple down games. Vick plus 2 others might put you in a position to have a higher average "top QB score" each week than Rogers alone. Might not, too - just another strategy in this crazy game.jah77 said:I don't understand the Vick love. You're right, I played with it a few times without Shaub (QB3), and I just didn't like it. Especially with Romo having a late bye week, I didn't like Vick as my only option, given the possibilities you outlined.jah77 said:Yeah, I guess I understand it more in that situation where you take 3 guys. Looking at your team, if Vick goes down or gets replaced you could still be solid with Romo at the helm and an occasional big game by SchaubI think it's where opportunity and price met. Now this is an interesting and as a whole will be unique team....please keep us updated. The stud TE theory.....I have seen two before....but not three....but I guess it didn't make sense before this year with the two flex. With TE receptions worth 1.5 pts and the ability to play 2 flex players, I'm surprised more people didn't spend more on stud TE's. My roster is really short and I'm not sure if I like it, but it could be OK:
QB - Colin Kaepernick - SF/9 - $18
QB - Andrew Luck - IND/8 - $16
RB - Trent Richardson - CLE/10 - $27
RB - Eddie Lacy - GB/4 - $16
RB - Giovani Bernard - CIN/12 - $16
RB - Christine Michael - SEA/12 - $5
WR - Dez Bryant - DAL/11 - $26
WR - Pierre Garcon - WAS/5 - $20
WR - Chris Givens - STL/11 - $10
WR - Markus Wheaton - PIT/5 - $5
WR - Kenbrell Thompkins - NE/10 - $2
TE - Jimmy Graham - NO/7 - $31
TE - Jason Witten - DAL/11 - $23
TE - Vernon Davis - SF/9 - $19
PK - Garrett Hartley - NO/7 - $4
PK - Jay Feely - ARI/9 - $3
TD - Seattle Seahawks - SEA/12 - $6
TD - Detroit Lions - DET/9 - $3
First year I went WR heavy I spent 110 on 6 WRs and 80 on 3 RB, if all my studs stay health I think I have a shot!!Loving my team more and more as I see others, solid starters and almost my entire roster has byes by week 6!!
QB - Ben Roethlisberger - PIT/5
QB - Ryan Tannehill - MIA/6
RB - Adrian Peterson - MIN/5
RB - Steven Jackson - ATL/6
RB - Eddie Lacy - GB/4
WR - Calvin Johnson - DET/9
WR - Julio Jones - ATL/6
WR - Jordy Nelson - GB/4
WR - Vincent Jackson - TB/5
WR - Dexter McCluster - KC/10
WR - Kenbrell Thompkins - NE/10
TE - Jermichael Finley - GB/4
TE - David Ausberry - OAK/7
TE - Julius Thomas - DEN/9
PK - Kai Forbath - WAS/5
PK - Graham Gano - CAR/4
TD - Carolina Panthers - CAR/4
TD - Washington Redskins - WAS/5
I also had the option, didnt change anything, but stupidly rechecked i was within price range and clicked submit....I am hoping the powers that be can tell I didnt change anything after deadline.Am I the only one that still has the ability to change their roster? I'm not changing anything, but the page is still available - is it the same for everyone else?

After re-reading rules I think its cool, and whatever you had at cutoff time is your final roster....I also had the option, didnt change anything, but stupidly rechecked i was within price range and clicked submit....I am hoping the powers that be can tell I didnt change anything after deadline.Am I the only one that still has the ability to change their roster? I think the issue though is that FBG doesn't track past rostersAfter re-reading rules I think its cool, and whatever you had at cutoff time is your final roster....I also had the option, didnt change anything, but stupidly rechecked i was within price range and clicked submit....I am hoping the powers that be can tell I didnt change anything after deadline.Am I the only one that still has the ability to change their roster? Each submision is tied in with your login so you can edit and tweak all the way until 11:59pm ET September 4th. Your last submit will be your final roster.
Be a major shame if rosters get disqualified because of having to save to get the roster summary to post for all to see.In order to be fair to everyone, we can't allow people to enter the contest late. Every year, we have to give folks bad news that they can't enter after they've missed the deadline - don't let that happen to you.
I did it.I have contemplated buying a second subscription so I can enter a second team.
I've had Gordon on almost every entry. Risky, but hoping not many people take the risk.(HULK) said:Just changed it again. Still 19 players, still no Josh Gordon.
With just 19 dudes, spreading the byes out is hyper critical. Think I'm done now.
