My 173 has me rolling on! Looks like a lot of Eddie Lacey and Julius Thomas owners got eliminated. Maybe they can both have big weeks for me.

Tony Romo $15
Carson Palmer $12
Michael Vick $9
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maurice Jones-Drew $22
David Wilson $21
Shane Vereen $18
Eddie Lacy $16
Daryl Richardson $15
Felix Jones $2
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Josh Gordon $15
T.Y. Hilton $14
Chris Givens $10
DeAndre Hopkins $10
Golden Tate $10
Rueben Randle $8
Andre Roberts $6
Markus Wheaton $5
Nate Washington $4
Kenbrell Thompkins $2
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jordan Cameron $12
Julius Thomas $2
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve Hauschka $3
Robbie Gould $3
Josh Brown $3
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seattle Seahawks $6
Dallas Cowboys $4
Detroit Lions $3

Here is my top 500 squad. Not really sure how when I look at them. I guess there is stength in numbers. With so many have average players, somebody steps up every week.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL 206.65 177.50 187.60 168.70 224.80 152.70 153.95 174.10 134.45 166.45 162.45 184.50 173.80 0.00 0.00 0.00
CUTOFF 81.30 76.60 132.50 155.95 148.35 129.10 141.80 127.40 133.65 129.30 142.35 145.80 171.30

I realize that all points are created equal and that no one cares about my fantasy team, but I find it funny that one of the reasons I squeaked by is because MJD threw an 8-yard TD pass this weekend and that those 8 yards actually friggin' count!

glad to be back in the top 500!

Scored 213 this week for #63 in the standings.... good luck over the next several weeks everyone!

one more 50% cut to make it to the finals

Made it comfortably thanks to the big week from Russell Wilson. Ran my team through the early projections, and I only project to 147.1 points this week. I don't think that'll get me through. I didn't mind Julius Thomas missing the past few weeks to try to get his numbers down, but I think I'm going to need him this week. He's still over 57% owned, but I need that extra option for the flex spot.

Key players remaining:

Calvin Johnson 92/500 - need him to be better than Gordon.

Dexter McCluster 71/500 - he keeps counting for me while being under 15% owned.

Jamaal Charles 66/500 - a monster week from Charles can push me through since only 13% of the teams have him.

Russell Wilson 73/500 - is there any way he can have a big game in SF? I'm nervous, and I don't want to have to count on Romo.

Philadelphia Eagles 13/500 - under 3% owned...a well timed big week would be a huge boost.

Still in with only the third week over 200. I lost a bye in my main league by not starting Decker and Spiller. Luckily they put me through in the contest.

Pulled in at #105 this week, but she's just about running on fumes. Romo is my only active QB, so I'll live or die with him. Ridley's benching has taken away a RB option, so ive kind of got Bush/Bell andmLymch, then a RB cliff. Harry Douglas has been a nice surprise for me, counting each of the last 7 weeks - exactly when I lost Reggie Wayne. Josh Gordon has really kept me above water the last two weeks. My $3 kicker combo of Vinatieri and Hauschka has been great - 6 weeks over 15 points, and my "draft-a-lot-of-TEs" theory has always given me at least A TE to have respectable numbers. Thanks for stepping up Heath Miller, now suck it up and play Julius Thomas! Been a fun season - one more hurdle til the finals - best of luck!

Cannot get past this top 1000 threshold. Finished 704th.

I made a ton of great picks and managed my bye's really well....but...

My mistakes:

Wilson (Injury/ineffective)

Bowe (Way too much for his production)

Daniel Thomas (Thought Miller would be replaced quickly)

M. Wheaton (Though he would be the new Mike Wallace-some camp buzz around him)

Were not good picks. Went with a smaller roster this year and still think it was the way to go, but the margin for error is that much more tough.

Sorry that you didn't survive. Maybe next year is your year. Some comments about your misses.

I really thought the writing was on the wall about Wilson based on last year. Don't draft guys with fumbling histories or tend to cry when they play for Coughlin or Belichick.

I learn this lesson the hard way in years past...just scratch Bowe off your draft list every offseason.

I liked the Wheaton pick and think it was solid pick that just didn't pan out.

Pretty sure I'm the only guy in the top 10 without Gordon, Decker, or Jeffery....Just an all around good team performance. Whoo hoo!

I didn't pick him, but I still think Wheaton will turn into this. Maybe a year too early.

CraigGebz is my team. #26 this week.

My WR's suck. RB depth will have to carry my squad. Only one other team has Moreno, Bush, Bell, Lacy and Bernard.

Exciting!

Made it through! I am one week away from making the Finals 2 years in a row--it would also be the only 2 times that I made the Finals. And I have been playing from the very beggining, back where if you won a certain week, you would win a projector!

I have Trent Richardson and Fred Davis. That kind of uniqueness should really help me down the stretch. ;)

Oh if only D. Thomas hadn't run out of gas and scored instead of Decker getting the gravy. I'd have been at 171.75 at least and survived. Well, I guess finishing with 164.75 tied for 614th isn't all bad, just not what I was hoping for. Still it's the best I've ever done so good luck to all of you survivors, I'll see you again next year!!

The last catch by Graham got me over the hump, the turk will have to wait another week for me. I somehow got by with P. Manning and a roster full of decent/good not great production at every other position.

508th.

A roughing call on the Saints on third down ultimately resulted in an extra point for Hauschka instead of a field goal. :ptts:

Best of luck to the survivors.

Right behind you at 540th Kev. My once promising QB combo of Romo and Luck turned out to be my weakest area these past couple of weeks. Sure was a fun ride though! Looking forward to next year.

arruggh!! Got squeaked out week 11 by 0.45 pts. with no QB pts that week (had 4 on the roster). Got by last week and this week (by 0.2 pts). Can't stop myself from continuing to track this ...

and rightly so Binky! This is the best thread in the pool by far! Too bad DD hasn't had the opportunity the last several years to run the projections and quartiles. That always rocked.

Any early thoughts on what it's going to take this week? Also, anyone have a link to final standings last year? ( trying to get a sense of what you need to take down the finals).

Missed the cut by around 3 pts. I liked my core of Peyton, AD, Megatron, AJ Green, and Graham. But couldn't get enough out of a smaller roster. Also David Wilson wrecked every team I picked him on this year. I liked to pair him with Lacy but it didn't work out.

Over 180 the last two weeks after just missing the cut three weeks ago. Like others in the same position, I like it because it reinforces that my strategy to get to the end was still pretty good. Good luck to all remaining.

What was the deadline to sign up for the FanDuel FBG2013 deal? I signed up for the first time 3 weeks ago. Was that too late? Am I still eligible?

good luck to all! big week for 500 folks, making the 250 will mark quite a nice year in this contest. Cheers to you, it all starts today.

I can't find it on the rules page but seem to remember week 5 or 6 some where. Technically per the rules it says 2013 and a date is mentioned. I suspect anyone in the final 500 who reloaded is already in the money. Since they are paying it out regardless, I don't think they care when you reload.

Speaking of the fan duel reload, have we ever been told who is eligible? And specifically who the top 500 fanduel players are? Theoretically, the top 500 fan fuel players might already be known... based in the percentage of participation in the reload.

My team would appreciate Andre Johnson catching 1 TD to go with all those receptions and yards.... Just sain.

I think your team got plenty from him.

On the other side of the token, my team got a touchdown from Cecil Shorts...but I definitely needed more receptions and yards. 9 points from a player that I really needed. Ugh. I'm going to need Decker, Garcon, and Bowe to come through for me.

Hopefully decker wasn't what got you through last week! I see a sharp regression coming. I expect welker to go for 100+ and a TD (I'm not feeling more than 2 TDs this week from Manning) and decker back to the 4/40 we've seen from him over the past month. Fingers crossed b/c not very heavily invested in Denver in any of my leagues (which probably speaks to my GM abilities or lack thereof!)

Woohoo, I was on vacation overseas that had very little internet access in a remote part of the mountains. I may or may not have drove around the Alps with my kindle searching for an open wifi just to check on the status of my team.

I was ecstatic to see that I finished at #260 last week. Hopefully my hodge podge team can make it to the final 250. Farthest I have been in the contest and one of the few non-Gordon owners to make it.

We'll see what happens this week!

Yep. Non Gordon/Jeffery owner here too. Need sharp regressions for both or I'm in trouble. Good luck to all today!

I'm going to go ahead and tap out on the contest. Bush is out, Lacy just got hurt, Rashad Jennings (who has been saving me) is out. Knowshon Moreno will be the only RB who can give me points left on my team.

Bowe has got me decent points at WR, but Shorts already came up small and I just have a bunch of scrubs behind them (good for 10-15 points from 1-2 guys a week, but they rarely get me a huge game).

Any idea what the cut off will be? Will it be around last week's cut of 171? Or can we expect a lower cut off and last week was an outlier?

A lot of big early games out there to drive up the line...and now a Julius Thomas TD to bump it even higher. I haven't looked to see who the most commonly owned QBs are.

Wow, 1st yr in final 250 after consecutive top 500 eliminations :) . Having Detroit's DT and Joique while being a Philly fan made for some crazy mood swings.....but in all GREAT!!! weak. Now, if I can just win my 2 playoff games??.......Pulling for you Saint, and thanx for the excel database.

Thanks MB! It'll be close. I'm going to be taking less than 10 pts between my 2 RBs with Peterson going down early. :violin:

The good news is my WR squad tore it up between Hartline, A. Johnson, and Gordon. Sitting at 150.05 right now with Manning and J. Thomas counting. Also have J. Graham tomorrow night, so I am expecting to end somewhere in the 170 range... Not sure if that will be enough.

Feeling good - this will be the first time I make the finale (if I still make it) - makes me feel a heck of a lot better after going out in the first round one year (I think it was 2009).

183.4 + Romo (-0) + CAR D (-0) + Hauschka (-6) + Dez/Jeffrey (-18)

Wish I had invested the $5 in the live scoring app!

This week will be interesting to see what gets through. I'm sure a lot of players were hurt because of the weather conditions, but there were a number of big games.

I'm sitting at 147 with Lacy's numbers listed at 0 for some reason on the FFLTools site. Once that's fixed, I should be at about 160 with Gano (-6), Olsen (-9.3 to be a flex), and Romo (-24.5). I'd say I'll be lucky to add more than 10-15 points from that group, so I'm looking at 170-175 as my peak.

If you're in the top 500 you probably have a good team, so it will likely be close. If I somehow manage to make it through, I'll feel really fortunate. Rashad Jennings and Reggie Bush being out really hurt me, as both have been big parts of my team (Jennings over the past month). I also had rough weeks from Garcon and Shorts, who are both usually guaranteed to make my lineup.
