Suh vs Allen (1 Viewer)

Suh- Kick to the groin - 30k

Allen - Blindside block, leaving his feet and then tearing the ACL and ending season for opposing player - 21k

So if Suh had hit Schaub low and tore his ACL, he would be 9k richer?

I am so sick of every ESPN article talking about Allen's charitable work, what about Suh's millions he donated to Nebraska?

Is Allen's next charitable venture to visit offensive linemen in the hospital that were crippled by a dirty block on an interception return?

And Warren Sapp, shut up. We saw your dirty play when you did the same thing on an interception on MNF. Go beat up another girlfriend and somehow keep your job.

Leave everything else out and compare these two plays. Talk amongst yourselves.

Peace

Sapp hit shoulder to shoulder. Even today, I wouldn't consider that dirty. He didn't target the head ike Allen or make a blatantly cheap play like Sub.

If it really was Suh vs. Allen - in a cage match, for example, I would be rooting for both to lose.

Honestly, I don't think there are two players in the league right now that are more dislikeable.

Wow still that was not a BLIND SIDE BLOCK.

The Bears player was running STRAIGHT AT the Allen. Did Allen leave his feet? Yes but that is NOT ILLEGAL!

He hit shoulder to shoulder first and then if you believe it moved to head then its not ILLEGAL it can be considered cheap though but not against the rules. I have posted and reposted the NFL rules. In order for the helmet to helmet be called after the shoulders hit he needs to be determined defenseless. The Bears player by rule was not a defenseless player.

Now if it was straight to the head then it could be determined unsportsmanlike conduct but since he hit shoulder to shoulder and rolled up into the head possibly that would be deemed incidental even if that is what Allen intended to do. Flags are not thrown for intent though.

One thing to add, I am not saying Allen should not be fined as this is the type of hit the NFL is trying to avoid. At the same time it isn't against the rules.

Also the Suh hit if it were another player it wouldn't have been blown up. Suh IS a dirty player and has been deemed so since entering the NFL. Allen was as well in the past but has flown under the radar long enough at this point that they no longer will go out of their way to catch him in something.

The bigger difference is that the league is looking at questionable or blatantly dirty plays by Suh on a regular basis. Allen isn't a repeat offender to the same extreme.

I don't know...off the field Allen is awesome and I like the guy.On the field...his little dance and his numerous dirty shots (shots at the knees in the past) are definitely terrible.

NFL fines are handed out randomly without any real objective criteria. You can't expect them to be fair. You might want to compare Matt Slausen chop block on Brian Cushing to Allen's hit on Louis. Slausen block was deemed to be legal but that sort of block is much more directly dangerous to a players knees. Slausen was fined 10 grand.
