Sun Chips: Most Under-Rated Chip? (1 Viewer)

Just motored through a 1.5oz bag of Harvest Cheddar in about 90 seconds. Not sure I even chewed.

Felt just right in my mouth. Heavenly.

Sun Chips are awesome. I love potato chips but these things are better in most situations (sometimes gotta have potato chips). I don't really like to sit down and just eat potato chips - I could easily sit down and eat a whole bag of these in just about any flavor they have.

I have never seen anyone use "potato chips" as frequently as this.

 
Cheddar and the salsa ones are the only ones I like.

don't like them as much as before.

Put me down in the Garden Salsa camp as well.

Not sure if they are distributed nationally, but Pop Corners Cheesy Jalapeno and White Cheddar are fantastic as well.

Never had the Pop Corners (or heard of them) but that's one thing Sun Chips is missing badly.....a Jalapeno Cheese flavor of some sort.

I've gotten to the point where I just don't care for any variety of chip that isn't jalapeno flavored or spicy without the word BBQ involved.

growing up in the mid-70s in Dallas, my family got picked to in-home sample a VERY early version of Sun Chips (no name then). They were horrible, nearly inedible. So bad that Frito-Lay must have shelved the idea for a long time, but they finally got it right with Sun Chips.

They used to -- and may still -- have a jalapeño pepper jack flavor, which was predictably awesome. Some of the best chips I've ever eaten.

 
I wish more chip companies would mix chip flavors within the same bag. Yeah you'll get a little spillover flavor but the variety and randomness is nice.

And JFC why can't I get puffed and crunchy cheetos at the same time?

 
I thought this was a thread about Sun CHips or another chip that was more underrated? Doritos is neither of those. And I f-ing love doritos.

Sadly discontinued. Was my favorite.
