Sunday Morning Questions for Bloom - Week 15 (1 Viewer)

Good Morning Bloom,

Underdog here, standard scoring all TDs 6 pts, 1 pt per 25 yrds passing, 1 pt every 10 yards rushing receiving;

Kaepernick, Tannehill or Fitzpatrick (Locker or Orton off Waivers)

Mike Evans or Jimmy Graham

Thanks, and good luck this weekend!

Starting week #1 of my FF finals for my league. In pretty good shape with Luck, Leveon, AJ Green, Sanders, Gronk

Only real problem is one of the flex spots. It is a PPR and I need to pick between 1 of these guys

Alf

Moncrief

M.Bryant

Crow

Thanks in advance

Trying to figure out my flex between

Herron

Gordon

L. Murray

Non-PPR

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for doing this Sig!

In PPR league 1, injuries are forcing tough decisions. I need 2 from these:

Lat Murray

Kelvin Benjamin

L Blount

J Stewart

J Hill

I Crowell

D Herron

In PPR league 2, I need a backup plan for Julio. I need 1 from:

Marquis Lee

Charles X Johnson

L Blount

H Douglas

Thanks again!

DR

QB heavy league where TD's count for six and I have been streaming QB's all season...

Start Tannehill

OR pick up Flacco or Johnny Football to carry me to a title?

Can only pick up one as I am down to my last dollar in cap space.

Thanks!

ok, giving you another chance...your Fitzpatrick over Edelman pick knocked me out of playoffs in another league...still alive in this one...ppr...2nd rb and flex...herron, l murray, crowell, manziel, orton, d anderson?? Julio looks like toast...h douglas or j matthews? let's get this one right! thanks

Hi Sig,

Probably some coin flip choices here, but let's do this anyway...

The thorniest issue is at QB, where the choices are either Drew Brees or Matt Ryan. Ryan is at home in the dome against your beloved Steelers, but with an either missing or hobbled Julio. Brees is on the road Monday night against the train wreck that is the Bears. Weather in Chicago calls for light rain and about 10 mph winds throughout the game. Temps should be in the 40 range.

My opponent has Big Ben. Besides the dome/home factor, shall I lean to Ryan on the theory that if Big Ben goes off and it's a high scoring game Ryan will have to throw often to compensate? Or lean to Brees in a game the Saints must win and take the chance the imploding Bears continue to suck and Brees winds up handing off most of the second half? I've been playing Brees all year and normally like having a Monday night player. Wondering if I'm overthinking all the other factors listed above.

At running back I'm deciding between Jeremy Hill and the Crow. In my mind basically this one comes down to who is more likely to crack the end zone.

Finally and maybe easier is at WR (we play TE's as just another receiver option, no dedicated TE position). Here the choices for my third receiver are Gronk, Sammy Watkins, and Jordan Matthews. Normally I'd play Gronk and not think twice but it seems like the other NE receivers are all questionable which may focus more attention on Gronk, Sammy more or less came to life last week in Denver, and the Sunday night Eagles/Cowboys game could be a shootout. My other two WR's are ODB and Demaryius.

So to summarize (need one of each):

Brees/Ryan

Hill/Crow

Gronk/Watkins/Matthews

I've been rolling since you've been adding your two cents to my decisions. Let's keep it up.

Thanks as always and good luck to you this week.

Bad shtick dude

Major $ decisions this week. Thousands on the line. No pressure.

High stakes league, TD heavy. No PPR,1 point for 20 yards.

RB2- Joique, Lamar Miller, Jeremy Hill, FJax, or Blount (have a waiver claim on him I should win but may not). Must start one behind Jamaal Charles.

WR3 - Evans or Gordon (could start both but then would have to bench Antonio Brown or Jordy Nelson)

Different $ league. This one is performance scoring, 1 PPR, 1 point per 10 yards.

Need 1 RB, 2 WRs, and 1 flex out of:

FJax, Rashad Jennings, Andre Williams, Branden Oliver, Reggie Bush, Josh Gordon, Mike Wallace, and Kenny Stills. Forte and AB locked in.

TIA, brah.

Sound strategy or over-thinking?

Background Info: favored by 30 (bloated projection), 6 pts per passing TD:

Choice: Start Brees (@ Chi, rain forecasted, Colston is my WR3) or Roethlisberger (@Atl, Dome, opponent's WR1 is Antonio Brown)?

My take: Leaning Roethlisberger to diversify investments, neutralize Brown & eliminate weather concerns.

Sound strategy or over-thinking? Your take is appreciated!

With julio At best a decoy, pick one RB and two flex in ppr: crow/Jstew/stills/MLee/Moncrief/ MWilson?

Matchup is predicted to b even.

Thank you.

Hi Sigmund,

Thanks for all your help so far. Here are my dilemmas:

Same league, .5 ppr

2nd WR, need one:

Sammy Watkins, Roddy White, Steve Smith, or Kenny Stills

Flex spot:

One of the remaining above WR's, or Isaiah Crowell / Latavius Murray

Thanks, Sig!

Jets D/ST @ a crappy TEN

or

Pats D/ST vs Miami

Flex (Non-PPR):

SJax, L. Murray, Stills, Douglas

Favorite Zeppelin album and why?

Leaning SJax since he's been consistent the last 4-5 weeks. I like Stills, but Brees throws TDs to everyone on the offense. Hell, if Brees could grab the locker room janitor and put him in for a play, he'd throw a TD to him.

Thanks!

Hello Mr. Bloom!

Help me reach the finals!!

1 ppr, 6 pts all tds, -3 ints, -3

Start qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, te, k, def

Qb

Ryan vs Pit

sanchez vs dal

Got Ryan in right now. even if Julio is out I think ryan can shred Pitts Def. Sanchez will probably put up numbers too but hard to trust.

Rb

lynch vs SF

Murray @ phi

Bench: herron, blue, Randle

strength of my team. No doubt starters here

Wr

maclin vs dal

Djax @ nyg

Stedman bailey vs arz

moncrief vs IND

Charles Johnson @ det

Maclin must start. Djax looks like he will play and it looks like colt McCoy will as well which is good news for him right? Charles Johnson is heating up and I like his chances even on the road vs a good def. I like moncrief this week but seems risky. Bailey seems hit or miss. leaning maclin, djax, Johnson here. if djax sits put in moncrief. agree?

Te

fleener vs hou

I know allen is back, but I think fleener remains a good play. Allen is actually on my ww and I have thought about dropping fleener for him.

K

tucker vs Jax

Def

NE vs mia

Thoughts?
ryan inmoncrief over djax
So are you thinking djax is too hurt to start? He's been money when he has played with colt. Just feel like I don't know if the Colts will use moncrief this week. Just trying to understand your logic.
i just get a shaky feeling from everything WAS right now. With Luck moncrief only has to get free once or twice to have a good day

How would you rank these player i know Bell is number 1

And which two would you play i like Bell and lacy but Lacy plays Buf and they have a good D

E lacy @ BUF

T Mason vs ARI

J Stewart vs TB

L Bell @ ATL --no brainer
bell

lacy

stew

mason
I have G Olsen vs tb is he a good play sense Cam is gone

i saw J Reed @ NYG and J Cameron on WW

and if Lacy can"t go should i pick up Starks or should i play Stewart

i could cut mason and keep Stew on roster am in Semifinal
olsen

starks w/o lacy > stewart, but lacy will play

I probably already know the answer, but need to see if you would start Stedman tonight in a PPR. Other viable flex options:

R Bush

L Murray

Martavis B. <- current

Harvin

D Allen

Randle
yup MB
So, a quick followup. Do you like Harry Douglas over Bryant if Julio is out? I'd have to drop someone like McKinnon (dynasty) to get him and block the julio owner. Is it worth trading next year potential for a potential title now?
dont do that

Hey Bloom, 0.5 PPR league. I have the following players to consider for 3 spots:

Latavius Murray

Lamar Miller

Isaiah Crowell

Chris Johnson

Kenny Stills

I've had Lamar Miller in there so far this week but with them limiting his touches and playing the pats on the road, I get the feeling the other RBs have much higher ceilings than him this week. I might need some of that higher ceiling as my opponent is favored by the projections.

thank you!
crow

stills

murray

One more (PPR) league, where I can start 3 of the following:

D Thomas (@SD)

Charles Johnson @DET)

M Bryant (@ATL)

R Wayne (HOU)

M Crabtree (@SEA)

A Johnson (@IND)

Top three? If so, would you consider starting Fleener over any of the three (as a flex)?
Thanks for the input, Sig. I don't see an answer to this one, though (from the first page). Would you start Wayne or Crabtree over Martavis Bryant or Charles Johnson (PPR)?
nope.

lol, I've been trying to get rid of him for weeks and you and dynastynerds keep talking me out of it. I hope he's worth it!

Good morning Sir!

A couple of questions for you. League is standard scoring with PPR with bonuses for plays over 40 yards, over 100 yards rushing/receiving and over 250 passing.

Which QB would you start?

Tony Romo @ PHI

Mark Sanchez V DAL

Eli Manning V WAS

Who would you flex?

Jeremy Hill @ CLE

Latavius Murray @ KC

Jordan Matthews V DAL

Keenan Allen V DEN

Thanks in advance!

Rick
romo

allen

Hi!

First timer here...thanks in advance!

1 point per reception

bonus for TD yardage

bonus @ 100 yds rushing or receiving

Pick 2 @ RB

Rashad (off injury v Wash Def?)

Herron*

Stewart*

Pick 3 @ WR

AJ Green* (Haden)

Demaryius* (on road Den running?)

Gordon* (Manziel?)

S. Smith (T Smith out?)

Welker

*indicates who I am leaning to. If for some reason Demaryious is out (keep seeing ankle injury) and with a late game, plan will be to slide Welker in.
sit jennings

green thomas gordon

Sig, one more to review please.

PPR Scoring. Here’s where I’m at this morning:

QB – Russell Wilson

RB – Fred Jackson

RB – C.J. Anderson

WR – Roddy White

WR – Julian Edelman

TE – Rob Gronkowski

W/R/T – Isaiah Crowell

Bench: WR Julio Jones, RB Eddie Lacy, RB Latavius Murry, RB Shane Vereen, WR Andre Johnson, RB Carlos Hyde, RB Juwan Thompson

Sitting Jones and Lacy until I can proceed with confidence! Any additional thoughts here?

Thank you so much!
id probably still go lacy over crow just bc of GB offense efficiency and unknown of CLE, but i wont talk you out of crow

1pt ppr in both leagues:

League #1 - pick 2 RBs

Latavius Murray

Jeremy Hill

Reggie Bush

Shane Vereen

League #2 - pick 1 rb and 1 flex

Lacy

Gio

Starks

Vereen

Lamar Miller

Keenan Allen

Douglas

Moncreif

Wilson

Thanks for your help!

Hey Blooms.

QB: Sanchez or Johnny Football

.5 ppr need 1 FLEX and 1 WR of these players

Eman Sanders (starting)

Mike Evans (flex)

Julio Jones (50/50; but cant risk a decoy game and/or 2nd half shut down)

Crow

J Hill

TE: I have Donnell and praying he does half of what he did against WASH earlier this season. Other options are Reed/D Allen/Miller/Rivera/Ertz

Also do you think Telvin Smith is a good play this week @ BLT? Thanks dude!
johnny

sanders evans

donnell

thumbs up on smith

Sig... big fan, longtime FG member, first post.

I'm a 4 seed who made it in w/o Calvin most of the year, but I'm going against the 1-seed (Luck, Leveon, A Brown combo), so I'm a slight underdog. Then again, my combo of Calvin-DMurray-Gronk isn't shabby. But I want some upside.

12-team, 0.5 PPR, big play bonus

QB: (6 pt TDs)

Manziel or Wilson.

Heavily leaning JFF. Crazy or agree?

WR: (Need 2)

Nuk Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, Moncrief, Landry

Sold on Nuk at WR2 I think. Struggling with FLEX, scared of Landry's matchup.

My dilemma:

- Love Moncrief's upside regardless. (IMO, Wayne a ceremonial start.) But I happen to be going against Luck, so does it become a smarter play?

- Watkins has come through but also been hot-and-cold. Orton, GB defense has been good other than Julio, etc.

Too wild to go Moncrief > Watkins? Same risk with both guys being boom or bust?

What would you do?

Thanks & May the GRONKSMASH be with you!
i have wilson ahead but i get it

hopkins moncrief

Ppr league 4 point paying TDs:

Need to start 2 rbs out of

Lacy

Jennings

Joique

Crowell

Only concerned about the top two might be in time shares this week

Matt Ryan or Johnny football

Leaning Ryan

Starting odb, Manny Sanders, and antonio brown...smart keeping josh Gordon and edelman benched?
bell and lacy

johnny

looks good
