***Sunday Night Football - Bills 10-6 at Dolphins 11-5*** (+3, 50) Bills win 21-14 and claim the AFC East and 2-Seed (1 Viewer)

Bills win and they're the number 2 seed, lose and they go ice fishing! Crazy.
Dolphins a little banged up but being home is good for them, last place they want to play is Buffalo in January.
After all the troubles the Bills and Chiefs went through this season they could still wind up the #1 and #2 seeds.
Dolphins are good, but good enough to take down the post season experienced Bills?
Josh Allen has been at the top of his game against The Fins in the past,so for me it's...

Buffalo Bills- 34
Miami Dolphins- 23

Sick first playoff game we got as Bills may be 2 seed or 8/out. I have no clue but Miami battling injuries. Bills an early fg favorite on the road.

If Miami wins, kudos to oline coach Butch Barry for getting the most out of a patchwork oline. Individually, only Armstead is rated high by pff, the rest are below 70, C Liam below 50. Injuries to Williams and Hunt who were having great years turned a strength (that had some depth) into a weakness. Tua's quick release and decision-making help reduce the number of sacks.

Allen has never had a bad game versus Miami, so I expect the Bills to score at least 28. Miami's offense has been inconsistent in most games versus good opponents. Miami will need to win the turnover battle, or break even, to have a chance. I'd rather have Flores than Fangio as d-coordinator in a game like this with both edge rushers out.

So far 3 votes Bills, Phins none
I would expect a lot of money/votes on the Bills
Miami a home dog after a 10-3 start to the season

Bill fans are traveling to Hard Rock in big numbers. I can't blame them for wanting to be in Miami in January. Can't blame Dolphin fans for getting top dollar for their tickets.

No matter what I think the Bills win this game, however depending on the earlier games outcomes, is how much the Bills will win by/Dolphins cover. If the Bills have less to play for by clinching a playoff spot due to other teams losing earlier in the day or Saturday the Bills will win by 3. If the Bills must have this game to clinch a playoff spot, I think they win by 14+.

I think the big wildcard here is can Buffalo handle Miami's running game, and how healthy will Mostert and company be?

I think it might be closer than people think given Achane, Mostert, Wilson, and Brooks (if he dresses). Yes, Miami has lost their pass rush, but Buffalo has neutralized defensive lines all year in pass protection. I don't expect that Chubb would have made that much of a difference.

That could be fiercely wrong, and you never want to lose your best player, but if Fangio plays that soft cover two and only rushes four, it wasn't going to matter anyway (for this game).

Is Josh Allen hurt or something? His last four games:

New England: 15 of 30, 169 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT, 53.3 passer rating
@ Chargers: 15 of 21, 237, 1-1, 104.7
Dallas: 7 of 15, 94 yards, 1-0, 89.3
@ KC: 23 of 42, 233, 1-1, 68.8

Total: 60 of 108, 733 yards, 3 TDs, 3 INTs, 74.3 passer rating

'That's 33rd in the NFL over the last 4 weeks. The only guys he's ahead of during that time are:
Trubisky
Trevor Lawrence
Siemian
Heinicke
Case Keenum
Sam Howell

Something is up and I'm sure we will not hear the truth until the offseason. Tua's shoulder is banged up as well. Miami should Run and Run and Run until the wheels fall off.

I am of the belief that Diggs is hurt. Without him getting open the Bills don’t have much as far as other passing weapons. They have continually dropped the ball at WR. Also…a lot of literal dropped balls in the last month.

Buffalo’s receivers are terrible at getting open.

Allen does a great job of hitting receivers when they do get open, but they’re not doing him many favors.

Allen has been off too though. The Dallas game doesn’t count because they barely threw it and clearly went in with the intent to dominate via the run. But he’s had accuracy issues as well. Doubly frustrating is that his receivers have been dropping a lot of passes on top of that. When your QB is off target on some throws and receivers are dropping others, it’s real hard to sustain drives.

Bills will roll here. Miami is free-falling it's over for them. Tua is no bueno last 4 weeks. that continues this sunday night.
Bills win big, baltimore ravens-ish score

I'm very confident in the Bills winning big in this game, given the injuries piling up for Miami, and the recent dominance over them by Buffalo.

So, I'm predicting another 'rip-your-heart-out' loss in a controversial/gut-wrenching fashion on Sunday night. We'll put another one of those in that column - bringing the total to 37 - while having 4 in the 'oh-that-was-awesome' column. (Reich come-back, Raiders AFCC game, Bengals win over Ravens to break playoff drought, Allen perfect game against NE in WC round)

Lots of pessimism in Miami based on injuries. Next man up. Can Tua keep up with Allen?

>>So Fins without 7 quality starters: their season TD record holder (Mostert); '22 NFL leader in yards percatch (Waddle), PFF's top center (Williams), one of NFL INT leaders since'16 (Howard), 2 top rushers (Chubb, Phillips), LG Wynn. And Holland knees dropped him to'questionable.<<

Yeah, they’ve received zero “help” and the Jags aren’t losing to the Titans, so it’s going to be a win or go home game. They’ve rallied enough to win a bunch of games in a row and give hope, so my conditioning says to absolutely expect them to blow it today.

It is an extra playoff game for the Bills. Turns out they needed every one of those last four wins.

Having the Philly game in hand would have been nice right now 😕. The other games they blew but that loss was pure bad luck.

Not playing the game, but Miami needs good health more than to win. Buffalo is a tough read, they have underwhelmed this season.

LB-Jerome Baker has been activated off Injured Reserve
Baker can play inside or outside if they choose to blitz him, he had a huge Def TD earlier in the season
Miami can play Long inside to stop the run but this will be a boost to a devastated LB corp losing both starting Edge/OLB with Jaelan Phillips-achilles and Bradley Chubb tearing his ACL and won't likely be starting the '24 season for the Phins.

Jaguars are down 21-10 at the moment, still 1st Half but they don't look laser focused on winning the game yet.
Buffalo would automatically be in the Playoffs with a Jags loss which seems impossible but I heard it on the TV
If true, this game will still have a lot of importance for Buffalo but they also would open up on the road, perhaps KC?
Or would they be right back in Miami the next week?

I thought if Buffalo wins, they get the 2 seed

Oh sure, but they no longer would face a situation where it's 2-seed or go home, they might come into Hard Rock tonight already in the Playoffs
Might be a moot point, who knows?

Being the 6 seed vs having a chance to not leave home for the playoffs seems like a pretty big difference to me.

If jags and bills lose, bills will be in Miami next week.

Yeah I don't like that scenario either as a Miami fan...Go JAGS!!!

Can Tyreek get 283 yards receiving ? It was a shame he got hurt it cost him about 1.5 games and a real chance at 2,000 yards.

Come again? The Jags suck.

And we are cursed....win today only to play the Bills again at home next week?

The ****ing joy.

I will be at the Styx concert tonight......DVR'ing the game....hopefully no one spoils it for me before I get home.

No phone peaks tonight.....wish me luck.

Beats going to KC
Honestly.....we match up better vs KC

Yeah maybe then just go to Buffalo after. Seems vs Buffalo first at home would be better then go to KC after but that’s just me
You're probably right.....first things first. Somehow pull out tonight.

We are ravaged with injuries......gonna be tough period.

Welp Tua about to play his biggest game as a pro. And my apprehensions about him will be front and center tonight. I don't think he has any capability Of putting a team on his shoulders to get a big win vs a good team.

Where as I would have a lot more confidence in the guy on the other side (Allen) to do just that. Josh is an Alpha. Tua is not.

Prove me wrong kid. Please.

Lots to digest here.

Can someone dumb it down?

If BUF wins, what are all 7 seeds in order?
If MIA wins, what are all 7 seeds in order?

All I know is that BUF either hosts PIT or goes right back to MIA.

If Miami can beat us twice in back-to-back weeks, cool I will doff my hat to you guys. You'll be entitled to brag about that for a while. (The Dolphins are legitimately good. This is a good rivalry. It's just tough to beat a divisional opponent twice in two weeks, especially when they're evenly matched otherwise.)

If Fangio doesn't play a prevent defense vs TEN, this game would be meaningless to MIA. Fangio can redeem himself in the next 2+ games, but I don't see it. He's stubborn and doesn't adjust to his players, several of his defenses have been near the bottom.
