**Sunday Night Football - Texans at Chiefs**(-3.5, 41.5) 8:20 (2 Viewers)

Demeco was always a feisty tough gritty problem later in the year. His team is again starting to have a 'his team" vibe. If they beat the Chiefs and sack/pressure Mahomes a good amount...idk if I'd bet against them the rest of the way. I'm thinking this is a bandwagon game

Super interesting matchup on a Sunday Night
Chiefs on the edge of the abyss need a win
Texans defense playing like a bunch of crazed dogs
Is this one the death nell for The Chiefs playoff chances this year?
Or do they circle the wagons and win keep hope alive?
I don't think the moment will be too big for The Visitors
In fact I think they will embrace it and pull the upset...

Visiting Houston- 29

Home Kansa City- 23

Great chance to put the final nail in the coffin of KC's playoff chances.

Can't picture it.

Think KC pulls it out...somehow.

Kamari Lassiter is gonna give it a go, but he's pretty banged up. He's quietly been better than Stingley this season. I think this is a game where the teams are very evenly matched and it comes down to 2 things, coaching and QB play. That's where KC has the edge. I do worry about KCs OL being able to block Hunter and Anderson, though I will say Jawaan Taylor being out is addition by subtraction for KC. I like Travis Kelce a lot in this one and could see someone hitting a big play on the outside, for some reason I think Hollywood is more likely than Worthy, as I think Worthy struggles more against the Texans physical CBs.

I think KC's D steps up in this one. Spags gives Stroud fits, and Houston (really neither team) is able to run.

Chiefs-24
Texans-14

I have little faith with the Texans in cold weather, much less a primetime game in KC. Just a recipe for disaster. I think they keep it close but warm weather Fairbairn blows it :kicksrock:

Take it back. Simmons out for the year which was known but Trey Smith and Taylor out tonight. That’s too many o line starters to be down against Houston’s D. Texans 20-17 and edge for the last wild card with Colts troubles…

And the idiot Reid will try and run his normal offense instead of being creative and scheming around it, which he did not do the two previous times this happened in the Super Bowls where they got blown out because he’s a big stubborn idiot.

Texans d line is going to sack Mahomes all over the place. This ain’t gonna be close.

It will get ugly for Mahomes if KC came in with the usual game plan vs that D line. They need to run and short throws all night.

Yep. Dink and dunk.

Jesus Christ starting LT Wanya Morris hurt on the first play... looks like he's out for a long time, didn't even show a replay.

They're literally on their 3rd string OL now.

Never want to see somebody get hurt where they won't show what happened, but I will say Wanya Morris is literally the worst pass blocking OT by PFF grade, its very possible (likely) his backup is better than him at pass blocking. Morris is a good run blocker, might make KC even more 1 dimensional.

KC really needs to get a real RB
I'd argue Hunt is ok enough. The bigger issue to me, is Xavier Worthy doesn't look better than Hollywood Brown, a #3 WR. They don't have that reliable 3rd guy after Rice and Kelce.

ETA: I wish Jalen Royals got a shot.

Mahomes should have knocked the pass down instead of catching it, but that’s probably a hard call to make in the moment, when you’re surrounded by defenders and also maybe not sure that it counted as a forward pass instead of a fumble

Garbage call
If you’re talking about the illegal motion call, yeah, that was kind of bizarre. The first guy was clearly set before the second guy even started to move and the second guy got set before the snap.
Second guy (schultz) is supposed to be set for 1+ second or some such nonsense.

IMO that was a bogus call. That all said, had they not called that, I believe there was a pick on that play as well. So it likely wouldn’t have been a TD regardless.

It’s very much a ticky tacky penalty the way it’s been called this year. I hate how arbitrary that one is. To my eye it looked like Schultz got set.

The under is over. Congrats to those of you who hit that, smart play, for real.

Oh, and I need 6.75 pts from Kelce so please root for my team, even though it might mean rooting against your D to get yourself into the playoffs, no offense. Super sorry and will send a card or something if it happens. Hell, I'd even do a pomegranate.

Ridiculous. Chiefs were offsides but somehow they flag the Texans as lining up offsides? Man I hate the KC refs
I'll agree Ersery's hand was in the neutral zone, but so was Jones' helmet. The illegal shift was sketchy, but Noel should've waited another half a count and Stroud should have let him. Typical details that drive Texans' fans batty

Jones and his helmet lined up offsides but got back before the snap.

From the Ersery angle it didn't appear so to me, but so be it. I'm just annoyed that our offense cost themselves with more ticky tack penalties. No need to make the double motion shift that close for referees
