The biggest acquisition was obviously the Andre Johnson Trade. I got Andre Johnson the Week before he blew up (Week #7) and has been on this explosion ever since. The owner who traded me AJ had just acquired Wayne and J. Graham, and had P. Harvin, A. Brown, A. Hernandez, G. Givens, and Amendola. He thought he didn't need AJ.........

The Drew Brees Trade was necessary, as he was original owner was the only team looking to trade a QB, I was 7-3 with a 2-game lead in my division. I knew I could not finish season with Vick, and made the move. I didn't realize how good the move was, when Vick went down that very next week.

Lastly, I obviously credit my Superbowl Appearance to All-Day. I had the 8th Overall Pick and I had never, ever owned AP. I actually had never owned any of the STUD RBs like Tomlinson, Alexander, Faulk, P. Holmes, etc. I never finished that poorly to have a high enough draft pick to draft that Super Stud RB. With Murray and DMC as keepers, I was convinced to take AP, no matter what. Just to say I owned him once. I named my Team "The Purple Jesus Freaks", posted the "Draft Me Baby" Video to our website on MFL.com, and I have not looked back since. This is out 10th Year Anniversary of our league. I am the winningest team in the league, made playoffs 9 out of 10 years, three Bowl appearances, NO RINGS!! I hope this is finally it. Sorry for the rant, I've waited a long time for this.

Basically, the consistency of my Johnson, Graham (for part of the season), Richardson, Ryan and Wayne carried me, as I continually turned over RB2 and Flex (and Defenses and Kickers toward the end of the year. NYG D/ST was very good for most of the year.)

5 guys I drafted are on IR now and 1 is declared out for this week.

I think this again highlights the point that you need to get consistency out of your top picks, though it is also nice to have some spots where you can ride the hot hand off of the WW.

Hoping to ride the luck for one more week.

For someone so stuck on rb depth you sure had to give up a lot (maybe you're entire 2013 season) to get a top qb.
