sigh eagles fans are going to make this years Super Bowl thread unreadable, aren’t they?Actually, I always root for the NFC squad, even if they're from the NFCE. So, yes, i would be rooting for the Commanders had they beat the Eagles yesterday. I do not think I would be all that excited about it though. Nor do I expect other fans to be excited for the Eagles or Chiefs.
You can personally not like the Eagles or Chiefs all you and everyone else likes. Makes zero difference to me. It does not give you cart-blanche to continually troll in this and other threads though. And yes, that is what your posts easily appear to be. That, and salty. In addition, I would never consider trolling another teams fans after the Eagles got eliminated. I do not need that kind of validation to feel better about myself.
Please do not tell me to get bent. It is not very excellent of you. Or, keep digging that hole. Whatever.

Same. Philly is not beating KC and the refs.I have as much excitement for this matchup as I do the halftime performer. In other words, NONE.![]()
I thought the exact same thingYour dedication to the cause continues to pay offIf Philly commits to running the ball the entire game, they will win this.
Most of the time, I laugh. This time, I actually agree with him.
The one that wins almost every time he plays.Yep. We don't know which version of Jalen hurts will show up on any given day.All you gotta do is stop Saquon broYou think no one else bothered to gameplan for Saquon this year? Just going to let him run free? Is that what you think? Really? No joke. You think KC isn't going to gameplan for Saquon? Just going to let him run free? Is that what you think? Really?Having an answer for Saquon. Awesome joke.KC should win this. It all depends which Jalen Hurts shows up but most of the game will be put on Barkley's shoulders, but KC will have an answer for that.![]()

Eagles really don't give up more than 25 points (and frankly its more like 20) to anyone. I mean, they gave up 23 to Washington, 20 to the Rams, 10 to the Packers in their three playoff games. Prior to that-going back to the bye week-they gave up 13, 7, 36*,13, 16, 19, 20, 18, 6, 23, 17, 3 and 16 points. They just don't let the opposing offense get going and I don't really see that changing in two weeks. As amazing as Mahomes and Andy are, prior to last night's 32 point performance, when was the last time they dropped a 30+ point bomb on an opposing team? 30 against the Panthers in week 11?I still think KC has another gear they can get to if they need it. As a pretty neutral fan, I hope Philly can push them to the end at least. I'm expecting KC to do what they do though and score almost every time early and manage the game late.
Re: the Bolded - what would you consider "limiting" Barkley aka a successful day at the office in this scenario you are referring to, just curious?I think people will overreact to the Eagles dominance yesterday. The Skins came off a brutally physical game with the Lions. Anything that happened up until this point really doesn't matter. But the same thing could be said about the Chiefs defense. The last time they allowed 31 or more points was against the Eagles in the SB. The last time they allowed 31+ points and lost was in the 2021 season. Since you mentioned 25 points, PHI had games this season where they gave up 36, 33, and 29 points. Ignoring Week 18, KC had games where they allowed 30, 29, and 27. The Chiefs don't really care how many points they score or how many points they allow . . . as long as they outscore their opponent by 1 point. It's hard to really assess teams when the point different between them is so vastly different . . . so far this year the Eagles are +210 points vs. +71 for KCC. On paper, it looks like PHI should win . . . but the Chiefs seem to always do enough to come out on top.Eagles really don't give up more than 25 points (and frankly its more like 20) to anyone. I'll reiterate that 36 point game you listed was with Jalen going out on the second drive and CJGJ getting ejected. Again, Washington was struggling on offense until both of those things happened. Before CJGJ went out, Washington went downs on 4 plays, fumble, punt, TD, fumble, TD, punt, Interception, fumble. CJGJ got ejected on the that last fumble play. Then Washington went TD, TD, Int, TD.Anything that happened up until this point really doesn't matter. But the same thing could be said about the Chiefs defense. I guess it depends how we define "on top." PHI with Hurts starting over the past 3 years has gone 42-12 (.778). KC with Mahomes starting in that time has gone 48-10 (.826) and is in position to win the SB for the third straight year. Both teams win a lot, but so far only the Chiefs have won a title in that time frame. Not a fan of either team, so I don't really have a side I am pulling for.So do the Eagles.
Can he still be a Dodgers and I assume a Yankees and Lakers fan though if he’s not a Cowboys fan anymore? That required combo only goes with Cowboys right? Can someone just invite Cowboys Fan 8 to become an Eagles fan? Guy spends more time around Birds fans than Bradley Cooper. Cut him some slack. I would also add that Jalen Hurts has more playoff victories now than the Cowboys will have in the next decade. The infinite sadness in that truth would be difficult to live with. I'm just happy that he can still love football in his own way.Cut him some slack. Knock yourself out. The Chiefs didn’t play any starters, had nothing to play for, and made no effort to win. If you want to compare those as similar situations, have at it. WAS had 5 turnovers and still won.Against playoff teams . . .

If we're excluding the DEN game from your calculations, I'd like to exclude the 2nd WAS game as well since Hurts got injured on the 11th play. So effectively, he didn't play the final 3.5 quarters.

literally no one does this. When you jump on a post by an eagles fan and make some completely non-sequitur response that has nothing to do with the Eagles or the game they are playing, its annoying. You weren't asking me, but I'll give you my 2 cents. The key against KC is not having empty possessions. Like almost any, ever. People always think their defense is good enough to matter against KC, but years and years tell you nobody's is. So about Barkley.... The Chiefs goal will be to have at least a few drives where they stuff him and cause a bad down and distance. Even if he has explosive runs and has 170 yards, they will hope they have 2-3 drives where they stop him on early downs and cause a 3rd and 9.Re: the Bolded - what would you consider "limiting" Barkley aka a successful day at the office in this scenario you are referring to, just curious?I think people will overreact to the Eagles dominance yesterday. The Skins came off a brutally physical game with the Lions. People forget if Jalen Carter doesn't make that great sack on Stafford the Rams likely were beating them, as replays showed Higbey wide open but Stafford couldn't see him. The Chiefs are much better than the Rams and Redskins. I'll take Reid over Sirianni and Moore and I'll take Spags over Fangio. And Mahomes over Hurts. Yes, they have to limit Barkley but betting they can.

If you want me to quantify it, I will say the Chiefs want Barkley to have about 6 runs of 2 yards or less in the first 3 quarters. They want to create 4-5 3rd downs of 3rd and 6 or longer which is related to that first part. They want to force 3 punts. If they can do that, they put the game in Mahomes hands.
I don't think KC is unbeatable, but I think it would have to be a shootout. You either score 40 points, or you score 35 while controlling the ball and limiting possessions, or you lose. If you do anything less, you won't get enough stops and then they will put the game to sleep with first downs and ball control.
I like this analysis! They definitely are beatable. The only had like 220 yards of offense against the Texans and really let the Texans AND the Bills run at will until these teams decided to stop doing that.

I’m about of the same mind. If it’s a close game in the 4th Qtr, I think you live bet KCC heavy. Mahomes is not a QB; he is a magician.
If Philly is gonna win, I expect them to have to take an early lead and limit Mahomes opportunities. Then withstand the inevitable comeback rally.
