I've been pulling for LJ, but using his idol was the first dumb move that I've seen him make. there was no way they were voting for Tony. giving it to Jefra would have been at least okay, but I think keeping it hidden and undisclosed once Tony saved him was the smart play.

and as much as Tony seems like a meathead, he's really working the game out there. pulling out his idol and showing it to everyone at tribal was genius.
Was it? If Kass wouldn't have gone rogue, they would have taken out a member of his tribe because he mentioned it. If he had kept his mouth shut and played it after the vote, one of their tribe members would have gone home. His play was terrible.
how do you figure? I think it was great because he did it to narrow their options. if you're on that tribe, you have to think that they're going after either Tony, LJ or maybe Jefra, but not know which. by showing the idol, he at least narrowed the choices to LJ or Jefra. he improved his odds from 1/3 to 1/2, with the more likely being LJ, which is why he gave him the idol.

And that's another way of looking at it. Also valid.

If he is reasonably sure they are voting for him, he sits tight and then plays it. If he doesn't know who they are voting for, it's better to disrupt things by showing it.

Take away Kass's bonehead play and him showing the idol resulted in both idols being used (unsuccesfully) and a member of their tribe going home. If he had waited, and he played the idol after the vote, they wouldn't have been able to change their vote. Hence, all of the votes for Tony or LJ would have been null and void, and only his tribes votes counting. Hence, sending a tribe member home from the other team.

he had no way of knowing LJ had an idol, so his play as an invidual was great, at least to me.

It didn't matter if LJ had an idol. If he plays his idol for himself, he makes sure he is safe. If by some chance, the other tribe votes for him, the other tribe loses a person. If he decides to give LJ the idol and the other tribe votes for LJ, the other tribe loses a person.

By saying he had an idol, he gave the other tribe a chance to change their vote. Which they did. And they changed it to a person who did not have an idol. If Kass had not been a bonehead, Tony would have cost his team two idols and a person by announcing he had an idol ahead of the vote.

Tony's move would of been ####ty if he had used it on himself. Giving it to LJ was a calculated risk to save his numbers. I think the only poor move was LJ using the idol and giving it to Tony. That I felt was a waste, but good tv. He should have protected Jeffra.

The bolded doesn't make sense. If he decides to give the idol to LJ without announcing it first and they had voted for Tony ... Tony goes home.

There are 2 ways to play it there imo:

1) If Tony think the votes are coming for him, then keep quiet about it and play it just before the votes are read.

2) If Tony is not sure between he and LJ who is getting the votes, then show it to everyone early (to presumably get them to vote for LJ) and then give the idol to LJ instead.

Both are valid thoughts and Tony chose to do #2. But in your example above it sounds like a 3rd option where Tony doesn't say anything and then gives the idol to LJ. That is not a smart move imo.

Woo goes from smart to idiot in one minute.. smart following and getting clue. Idiot for sharing with everyone.. went from 50/50 Chance of getting it to 1 in 10. :wall:

I think the point was that they wanted to make sure this was a slam dunk 100% win for their side. Morgan's laziness pretty much assured that A) she wasn't finding an idol and B) nobody was giving her one. Also, we've already seen that Kass just votes based on who she likes (which is painfully stupid strategy) so why not just throw her a bone to make sure she doesn't waiver.

IMO, it was a pretty good move (other than the fact that they don't get to stare at her cans anymore). With Kass being a total wildcard, it makes sense to guarantee a little buffer zone in terms of a numbers advantage.

Pretty sure Morgan's breast measurement is higher than her IQ.

I don't understand the new group in power. They didn't need Kass, just play along like they need her, talk together like they did, decide on Morgan. Then vote out Kass. She's shown she will flop at a whim. Why not get rid of Kass? No one is giving her an idol?

Could just be a red herring, but the previews make it look like the power group start to turn on themselves too soon.

Just the latest of countless anti-strategic moves on this show. But anyone who doesn't do #### around camp usually gets a target on their back.

"I'm so cute guys just make my life easy and I don't even have to try. Thank god I'm not ugly like Kass."

Not sure this was the million dollar play there.

I agree vote the flipper out asap.

It makes sense as a group, but each individual has to be thinking what a great mule she would be. The further we get, the more tempting a final 3 opponent she becomes...

Jefra is way way hotter then Morgan. Morgan has enormous tiitiies and is nearly cross eyed. Other than the squinting, jefra is more or less perfect.

I'll take Tasha. Criminally underrated. Smoking bod. Cute face. Smart. Everyone likes her. Much rather spend an evening with her then any of the other women. Jefra looks like a bore. Tasha looks ready to rock.

I thought the same thing. They get rid of Kass and they still have 5-4 advantage, and won't have to worry about Kass flopping again. Morgan was harmless and no threat.

I like Tasha too. Killer bod and very likeable. But if I'm spending any alone time with anyone, please give me Morgan. I don't care if she's bratty or she needs attention all the time. I don't care if she acts like a diva. I would take exceptional care of that girl.

I'm glad Spencer didn't tell anyone he had the idol. Pulling for him to win. It was dumb to leave his pants and the clue like that, but woo was bush tossing his pants in the creek like that. I'd like to see spencer and tasha sway LJ into joining them against tony and woo.

They got rid of Morgan and have a 5-4 advantage if Kass does flip. What's the difference?

I would rather look at Morgan than Kass. But I wouldn't put it past Kass to have the ability to talk someone else into flipping with her, like LJ or Woo or Jefra, if she thought there was a little dissension in the Tony alliance... which they hint at in the previews for next week. Kass is a wild card and I wouldn't want to deal with that if it were me. And I would rather look at Morgan than Kass.

This is really what it comes down to.

It would alleinate Kass, but at this point the smart thing to do would be misleading her on the next vote. Tell her the target is Spencer but vote Tasha or generic country guy. Kass flipping only hurts them if she has information that helps Spencer play his idol correctly.

I heart Morgan. :guilty:

I think Spencer is going to get in someone's head and get the flipping started. I'd imagine he'll pretend his idol is the super special idol so they don't think they can vote him out.

Jefra has a killer body, but it's rare to see a nose as jacked up as hers outside a boxing ring.

Nice call by Woo last night too... "I'm a fan of Survivor and I know that those rewards sometimes come with a clue. I think I'll follow Spencer to see if he got one."

I was impressed until he got the clue and his first thought was to share it with the entire tribe.

But it follows it up with an awful call, he should have just read the note and started searching

Kass would have more info on who they were voting for. Just in case someone plays an idol or finds the more powerful idol. I could see Kass making a move again to shake things up.

You are better off having a person gone who is maybe with you than the person who is absolutely against you when you will still have the numbers.

Liked this too, but the way it played out seemed so scripted. I've seen almost every episode of every season and this has to be the most fake execution I've seen. I am guessing however Woo actually found the clue was not caught on camera and they had to recreate it as I thought Spencer said something to the effect that Woo stole his clue and tossed his pants in the stream.
