Woo's an idiot. So dumb. It's a game for a million dollars. Kirby still hasn't gotten over taking Tina IIRC.
I really don't like the guy, but Tony deserved the win and I'm glad Spencer said so to the jury.

The primary mistake people like Woo make is in thinking they're playing to beat the other players.
In tae kwon do, you are trying to beat a person and the martial art is your tool.
They are playing to beat Survivor, and the other players are their tools to win.
You don't take the best player to the end, you take whoever helps you beat the best game ever.

It's a shame we didn't get a Spencer/Tony finale. That would have been epic. Spencer will surely be invited back for another season.
Tony definitely deserved to win, but got lucky with Woo's stupidity.
And man Morgan is sooooo conceded, but man I could drown in those fun bags and would go with a smile.

I was so glad to see Spencer make that pitch to Tony at F4 to look ahead to F2. He was really playing the game that we only speculate about after the fact in this thread. He's the only guy I've seen laying this stuff out looking far ahead and looking at the best moves for other people to make and working it into his strategy. Great player. I gave him a lot of credit weeks back for being the first player we've seen who's explained his jury vote while still in the tribe to try and affect the strategy before he's voted out. Now he pulls that move at F4 and I'm thinking "Thank you, finally someone gets how to play this game hard."
Sucks it didn't work, but so happy to see the move even tried and I hope we see it again.

Tony really gagged on the jury questions. Why didn't he say Woo also voted you all out.
And to answer Jeremiah and Trish's ridiculous line of questioning Tony should have said, "My father would have told me to do whatever it takes to get that money for my family."
Relieved it was 9-1.
Overall very satisfying season. Best player won. Sweetest part was Kass coming up a half-second short. Looking at the jury vote she may have beaten Woo as well.

I don't usually care who wins but I definitely wanted to see the best player prevail here and it was Tony.
I respect Woo's decision. He knew he didn't deserve to win the game and didn't want to be one of those players that nobody respects for winning. If opening this martial arts school is what he wants to do, he will do well with it and his speech about trying to beat the best will carry some weight there.
People play this game differently, he only wanted to win it one way, not going to be criticize him for it. If the free money comes with a burden, it may not be worth it.

Tony won it because he kept a loyal player like Woo close to him. He relied on him all the way to the end, that was a good bet on his part.
Tony clearly wasn't good at the individual immunities so his decision to vote out Trish and keep Woo may have been the best one that he made.
No regrets about how he won it, he made all the right reads.
Tony created that burden in Woo's mind. Masterful. The whole "honor" storyline was just a crutch so Woo could rationalize not disappointing Tony. Spencer was spot on. Woo was the loyal dog.
Think that was a major factor. Plus Tony probably figured he had a better chance at immunity against Kass then Spencer. Also planning on who Kass would take not a sure thing. She's vindictive and dumb enough to throw it all away to spite Tony.

What would the rules for the tiebreaker have been? If there is any chance that Tony has to draw a rock, it would be an idiotic play.
Plus you keep Spencer in the game and he wins the next challenge, you are done.
He played it the right way obviously.

I think LJ went to Hair Club For Men, so obvious. Dude was nearly bald on the island.
Why would Tony draw rocks? There would have only been votes for Spencer and Woo, they would have to make fire. This was covered during the episode.
All in all, a really good season. Survivor is at its best when you have all new players.
Probst definitely seemed on something last night, perhaps he was ripping up bumps.

Spot on. Super impressed with Spencer. I thought the same stuff Jeff did at the beginning of the show; Spencer had no shot (and found him annoying). Boy was I wrong.

I hope next season they tone it down with the freaking hidden immunity idols. Two or three is plenty, and definitely never have a special powers idol again.
Great season. People cheering for Kass is puzzling. I've never disliked a person on the show more. Completely delusional, smug. Can't say it enough. Tony v spencer would have been the best final 2 ever, right? Was Woo nervous at the finale or mad that a million dollars slipped away that easily.
When Tony went to celebrate with friends they had a shot of Alexis ### in the background. It was immaculate.

Tony also lives his "real" life under a certain honor and duty. But he was smart enough to know it means nothing on a TV game show. And he's got the million and Woo joins the ranks of "dumb" Survivors.
He's the Asian Keanu Reeves. His confesional where he was trying to think of what would happen if the votes were tied was hilarious. "Would we have to fight each other?"

I was thinking Woo/Tony made a deal off camera that if Tony voted Spencer, Woo would take Tony to the final. You have got to remember they aren't going to broadcast anything that takes the suspense away.

Final tribal was odd in that I thought it may have been the best final tribal ever (at least that I can remember).. but that is only because of just two jury members' comments. All of the questions were silly and didn't mean much at all... except for Trish and Spencer.

Spence countered essentially everything that was said before him by convincing the jury that Tony deserved to win. It was brilliant and Tony owes Spencer everything, IMO, for winning this.

Spencer had his chance and a lot of time on his side, but he choked on the puzzle. If I didn't see it I would have never ever guessed Kass would come back on that challenge to beat Spencer. It's almost like her puzzle came with easy instructions.

Listening to her speak though is tough. She probably had 30 lines on the whole season and 20 of them were her saying how hot she was or how ugly someone else was. She is not that hot.
Great season. Thought they had a good cast that gave them good stuff. Always frustrating watching them answer questions from the jury. The Pavarti chick nailed it when she said you can't argue with them, just have to agree. It's always so bizarre that the people getting grilled don't come back to it's just a game and explain it more that way.
Tony seems really jumpy to be a cop.

Man I would have loved to hear Kass's pitch to the jury. The fact that she was aware she was seen as the goat and people didn't like her opened the door to some good stuff.
Other than the winner, probably my favorite season yet.
I can't tell if I'm meh about Blood v Water II because I didn't like it, or if I'm just not separating it from Redemption Island, which I hated.

Yep. Honor and codes of conduct are great and all. But it is a game and Tony played it well.
Woo can say what he wants but I would bet that he has and will continue to regret his decision to sit with Tony. Same as Colby when, like an idiot, he took Tina instead of the dbag. History repeats itself I guess.

Except Tony deserved to win over Woo, not so much Tina over Colby. If Tony had brought Woo over Kass and Woo won because everyone liked him, that would be a lot more like the S2 situation.
Woo was not a very smart guy, that was clear throughout the season. Tony clearly worked him better than Kass was willing to.
My final thoughts on this one.. Tony overplayed and is a nutjob but it's a well earned million. Kass is not as horrible as she's been made out to be.. she made a decent point about being a woman v being a man and making the moves she did. Of course her overall attitude sucked when things weren't going her way, but Tony was no gem himself, and probably deserves just as much "personal" criticism for some of his crap.. all the often unnecessary lies and swearing and then ESPECIALLY how he worked LJ into half-heartedly agreeing to vote out Woo, then used that as his full justification for blindsiding LJ. Not sure why he wasn't fully called out on that.. LJ was almost there then just said #### it. It totally blew apart his assertion that he never blindsided anyone who wasn't first planning to turn on his alliance.
Also Kass' big catch-up and trouncing of smug Spencer made me sorta happy. It was a good moment for her and her husband. And Spence is kind of a little #####. Sorry.

I wonder how much influence Spencer's final question and comments to the jury mattered? I wish they had asked that. I felt that Woo was swaying them somewhat with his honor talk and Tony seemed to be taking it on the chin from many in the jury... Then Spencer stood up and as someone already posted - game over. It'd be interesting to know how much influence that speech to his fellow jury members impacted their vote.

Well he threw Woo under the bus when he lobbied for Tony, and he #### talked Kass enough that he struck me as a sore loser. Granted, he's just a kid. I was pulling for the guy, but I felt like it was a little karmic justice there when he got his season ended by the ##### from hell who proved smarter than him when it counted most.I like Woo a lot. I think they are in a good groove. They have one "all-star" season and one "all new" season per year. This seems to work well.
I personally was kind of "meh" about the Blood vs Water, but more so because I really wasn't a big fan of the people they brought back. It seems like they picked a lot of very average players from past seasons.
I think 3 appearances is the limit where they've almost over-saturated the audience on a player. I can't think of a single well known player in your above list that I'd like to see come back. Even Russell, who for some reason I liked a lot, I don't want to see him back.
But I do think there is one scenario where I'd love to see the big stars come back. Raise the stakes to 5 million. Lengthen the game to 45-50 days on the island, and put them through torture. Now that many of them are "reality stars", I'd like to see them come back and get put through the grinder in a bigger way than ever before, with more money on the line.
In lieu of that, I agree it's time to pass the torch to a newer generation of players.
From this season, Spencer, Tony and Tasha are slam dunks to return. I think Cass returns as a villain one day as well. Even though everyone hates her, she did a great job of almost getting to the end.
