Tampa Bay at New Orleans game thread (1 Viewer)

Wow...good call @Grahamburn if that was you about Fitz making a statement to keep starting post-Jameis suspension.
That is a good call. Fitz is underrated. He's too old to retain starting status, but he can start games and is one of the more intelligent game managers and upper tier backups in the NFL.

He deserves his slot.

It’s not, but the Saints have some serious flaws right now. Where is the variety in the offense? It’s all Kamara & Thomas, that’s not their style.

Bucs miss a FG that would have iced it. Saints then drive down the field easily and after a Kamara TD, it's Ginn with the conversion. 8 point game with 3:30 left. Are the Bucs really going to blow what was a 24 point lead?

Saints defense....WTF happened? Last season one of the best.

Outlier this game? Or same old Saints defense again?

If TB scores even HALF what they did today next week, I'll tip my hat to them as a good offense.

Until then, this goes down as just bad defense.

They were 7th in the league in yards per play last year. I don’t know what else to tell you man.

Come on man, Fitzpatrick with 400+ yards?  This D is going to make for a long season.
Same as Saints at Minnesota last year, Week One 2017. Not saying the Saints D doesn't have A LOT to clean up, but it's not quittin' time just yet.

Too many in the media anointed the Saints as NFC champs, and too many Saints players ate the cheese. TB in the Dome has been penciled in as an auto-win since April. They've forgotten that auto-wins don't exist in the NFL.

This is onbthe coaches though. Gilislee signing is a total disaster.
Don't agree, yet. One fumble does not a disaster make. But Gillislee can't make a habit of laying the ball down.

Dude could be the new Tim Hightower for the Saints, just can't make that kind of mistake.

The much bigger story today was wherever the TB defense came from. Your guys weren't 7th in too many defensive stats last season.

If Mark Ingram had laid that ball down Coach would have assaulted him

I dunno. Williams and Scott play all summer & Williams goes back to last year.  They *knew Ingram would be suspended. So they just bring Gilly in for less than a week of work? How dumb is that? The result seems inevitable.

This team is built on diversity of touches and it was almost all Thomas & Kamara today, Williams, Scott, Smith & Meredith were unused.

Im Not complaining about 40 points but the miscues affected the flow of the game.
