Tampa in throwbacks today (1 Viewer)

The Bucs did nothing in their orange jerseys back in the day. I do like when they pull them out once a year but they went thru a metamorphosis when they switched to the red and pewter which at the time they did them, they were a huge hit and the fan base in Tampa exploded.

It is time to update the uniforms from 15 years ago and maybe play with them a bit. The pewter doesn't look that great anymore, perhaps make the helmets more red than pewter or change up the pants. I think many Bucs fans were ever so happy to watch this team flush those orange uniforms out. Even the team that won the Super Bowl, they would pull out the old Bucco Bruce and fans were not excited. For some reason this team wears those uniforms well, Josh Freeman looks good in that uniform but the history of them is not that good, lot of losing seasons.

I honestly like these unis!. Happen to go to the game last week at Tampa and very disappointed I didn't buy the creamsicle throwback hat. Bought the current one because the kids thought it was cooler but regretting it now.

I wish I had this info earlier in the week, or earlier in the season even. If I'd known TB & WAS were in throwbacks today, I would have plugged in more of them. We all know SD always rocks the powder blues too. Seems everyone does better in throwbacks.

Based on that post you seem to indicate the Buccs wore throwback uniforms at least once in 2002. I am pretty sure they did not. I think that 2009 game when they beat the Packers was their first game in the cream uniforms since 1996.

This is correct

Hmmm, seem to remember Lynch and Alstott sporting...oh never mind that's right, they played in both. OK, you guys are right.

I will always like them. My 7yr old son was seriously looking away from the TV when that game came onto the screen on the red zone channel. He despised them. lolz

edit: But he loves the NE throwbacks they wore today. I told him they were both "80's uniforms" and great throwbacks, but still couldn't make him budge on the 'sicles.

Throwback Unis are always the best!
Tell that to the Packers, the Jets, the Broncos, and the Bears
I like all those, except the Bears. Socks ruin the Broncos a bit but the old ones are better than the orange ones of the last two editions. Can't believe the Eagles blue/yellow isn't high up on the 'wrong' list. I'm starting to think the Seahawks will never do throwbacks. Could've done it last year vs Bucs since they both came into the league together, and they could've done it last week vs Pats since they were honoring Kennedy's HoF induction and he never played in anything but the first color scheme.
