A few Footballguys Magazines Still Left! - Something Fun Announcing Monday... Would Love Your Support (2 Viewers)

Still nothing here in Deer Park, IL through today. Will wait until Saturday, then I guess its Barnes and Noble for me.

As I'm trying to understand, are you serious about using a magazine for your draft, either ours or another one?

I ask in that the printable cheatsheets we sent are a fantastic tool for drafts.

But most of the $3,000+ in refunds are where people said they didn't have the magazine to take to their draft and use it to draft. And that surprised me.

So I'm trying to understand more. Thanks.
The printable cheatsheets are a great tool.
Using them in two leagues now.
I haven't used a magazine to draft from in at least 15 years, although they are a good addition to my research and are great to read while on vacation at the beach .

Thanks. That's how I see it too. We have the rankigns in the magazine and they're beautiful, but the customizable printed cheasheet is how I'd draft.

But that's not how it seems most people see it apparently.

Still waiting in Albany, NY. Was a pre-order.

Hoping here by the weekend. My first draft is Sunday. My big draft weekend is Labor Day, so I can still be patient.

I do have the PDF, but I really like a magazine for upcoming travels. It's why I still buy one every year. Used to buy more.

I got mine on Saturday...no ticket (at least I haven't found it yet). Has anyone come forward with a Golden Ticket?

Where were the tickets placed? Just loose in the magazine. Maybe mine fell out in transit or stolen by the mailman.

They were inserted into the magazines.

I think we've had 7 so far be claimed.
Coincidentally all 7 were claimed by people who work for the post office?

USPS has been in a real poor spell for several years. Dejoy is one culprit among many. There's incompetence, and there are those who want it to fail.

I shipped a Priority Mail flat on the morning of Saturday, August 16. It was supposed to arrive in Chicago today, four days later.

Instead, it sat in a local (to me) regional facility for two days, and now I hope my buyer gets it by Friday. (It's a fantasy draft kit.)

In 1985, it would have been there yesterday. 2 days, 2 bucks, 2 pounds. And they meant it.

I haven't received mine (in VA). But I didn't buy it as my draft-day guide, so the sky isn't falling for me. And I would bet the percentage of users on THIS site that use a magazine with 6 week old projections for their draft-days is pretty close to zero. Hell, folks complain here when the updates are more than a couple of days old.

To paraphrase one of my favorite broadway shows:

"One more day....another day without my magazine...these men who deliver such things must surely know my sadness...one more day...."
Another day
Another empty mailbox
The mailman saw me approaching the cluster box and ran:cautious:

Also, should mention, Shop still shows in pre-shipment so that app is about as much use as a chocolate radiator

Thank you. Agreed, that has caused us tons of trouble. As well as USPS not including it on Informed Delivery updates for many people.

Yes, mine did not show up in informed delivery either. All a bit odd but it's here and i'm happy to have it, hope everyone else who is waiting patiently is rewarded too.

What is informed delivery?

Don’t have my mine yet. If I don’t it in a couple weeks is it possible to have another one sent or are they all gone? I don’t want a refund.
@Joe Bryant
For sure. I've got I think 5 of my own. If your copy does not show up, I'll send you one of mine.

Thanks for the patience. This has been a gut punch.
I appreciate it Joe, but I am not going to take one of your personal copies.

Edit - happy to say it is a moot point as mine just arrived!

You can sign up at USPS.com - they then send you an email every day with what you're getting that day, including pics. Pretty neat service.

still waiting for mine to show up.

I finally finished the pdf this morning. I am continually using the custom cheat sheets as a resource as I have two keeper league slow drafts going on and will have three redraft leagues live drafting Sept 1-4.

Just curious...has anyone in the Tulsa area received theirs?

I'm looking forward to getting it like everyone else, but I'm honestly surprised at all the flack Joe is taking for a $20 FF mag not being delivered yet.

Are you saying there shouldn't be flack, or that Joe is the wrong target for the flack? Certainly, this is late on the timeline for people to be getting magazines in their hands

we live in a mass consumerism instant gratification society. I would be more surprised if there was less flack. I am not that type of person, but I walk among them.

yea...I don't understand the whole refund thing.....Joe not responsible for lame USPS delivery.....his cheatsheets updated are your friend

Joe, himself, said he made a mistake on the best way to ship, but a reasonable shipping method was used...it's not his fault USPS (or whoever) dropped the ball. Mostly, I'm surprised people took the time to complain (some rather aggressively) when there's access to a digital copy.

Complaining over took baseball as this countries national pastime sometime in the mid 2000's!

I believe Joe is the wrong target for the flack

@Joe Bryant sent another email yesterday that is above and beyond any customer service I’ve ever gotten or ever heard of anyone getting from any business ever.
He clearly feels terrible that we haven’t received our magazines yet and Imo is going over board trying to make things right

Absolutely 1000% agree.

Bravo @Joe Bryant !

Mine arrived yesterday. It is HUGE!

Good stuff. Thanks.

No ticket, but at least I have something to read in the waiting room this afternoon.

Six days and two hours later, my Priority Mail package was delivered after a journey from New York to Chicago.

USPS is basically the Cleveland Browns.

This is some ineptitude on the part of USPS. I wonder what Newman would have to say.

I got mine over a week ago and I'm in the *** end of the country in the PNW.
"I'd like to cancel my mail. Mail Clerk: Certainly. How long would you like us to hold it? Cosmo Kramer: I want out, permanently".

Received the latest email from Joe. FBG going waaaay above and beyond to compensate for USPS fumbling the ball. Fun bonuses in store for us.

Just to give another data point:
Ordered: July 12
Shipment Notification (via Shop, no USPS notification): Aug 7
Not received yet

Not too concerned, bought for the novelty and evergreen content
Received the replacement copy via UPS today, reading it now! Super nice and brings back fond memories. Thanks Joe.

Unlucky Friday
One more chance to get it this week
C'mon Saturday...you can do it!
Saturday didn't come through
Maybe Monday.
Went to Tuesday Morning this morning.
Watched season two of Wednesday yesterday
Did you know Wednesday Adams middle name was Friday?
Let's see what did I miss..oh yea had a sundae on Sunday

Still no hard copy mag. But I'm perusing the pdf version Joe sent and it is terrific, the only thing that would make it better is if it smelled like ink and paper.
I'm also using the custom cheatsheets Joe sent in his e-mails.
I just want to comment on how Joe has handled this situation. If <insert name of company> had the response and customer service FBG's has shown
since this started I would still be a customer of <insert name of company>
I for one appreciate the way this is has been handled, while I would love a hard copy I feel I've gotten more than my money's worth out of the pdf version, the cheatsheets
and now a post season contest for magazine buyers. When my mag finally does arrive I may keep it in the plastic as a keepsake, unless I hear there's still a golden ticket
out there. Thanks Joe.

Thank you GB. You're kind.

It's been an ordeal and a learning experience. I wish more folks saw it your way. Thank you.

Got the magazine. Pretty awesome sense of nostalgia to flip through the pages. Really nice quality and have enjoyed reading through it.

Given that I check my mail every other week I wasn’t impacted by any delays. 😂

Got mine yesterday as well, terrific display and packed full of info. First time rarely goes as planned, the concessions made were more than reasonable and much appreciated. Keep up the great work!
