Just had this fall out of my head.

V Jax and Bailey have a long history against each other which i have not checked

Den cant cover the TE

How about Mike Williams against the smaller DBs after D Alexander went off against them?

Jump balls aplenty from Freeman this week?

Vjax Vs Den

2011 - 2-25

3-37

2010 - 3-53 (possilby injured here)

2009 - 4-46-1

5-56

2008 - 6-73

2-47

before that a few TDs but never a 100 yard game. THe closest was 95yds

Dunno if all these matchups were against Champ and would imagine that Gates and LT were doing some damage but i am getting the feeling it could be a down week for Vjax to be picked up by others

I don't feel you can bench VJax regardless of match ups. They are going to have to throw the ball to keep up with Denver. Freeman has no issues forcing it into VJax. Unlike when he was with the Chargers, VJax is the true #1 option in this offense. Unless you are stacked at WR, gotta play him in this upcoming shootout.

I'm benching him this week. Can I see him getting something late in a catch-up game? yep. Can I see him finishing 4/42 in a game the Bucs keep close? Yep. Just glad this game is this week and not next few weeks. Some guys just seem to have other guy's numbers and Champ has always seemed to have VJAX's and Bowe's (when he has been assigned to them exclusively).

The overall difference in this one is I don't see them targeting him throughout the course of the game like they do in their normal weeks. I kinda see this one as "let's run Martin and try to keep Mannig off the field as much as possible". I DO think this could be a good spot for dallas clark as I think they will use the short passing game more.

I agree. He's a Top 10 WR. I'm not sitting a strong WR1 for a lesser option with a more favorable matchup. I'm lowering my expectations for him a bit due to the matchup but I think this will be a high-scoring game and Freeman will need to throw a lot to keep up with Peyton. If he's throwing a lot, he'll be throwing a lot toward VJax so the opportunities should be there. He starts for me.

Kind of agree here, though in one league I think I'm plugging in Cecil Shorts over him, who at this point may not be considered much of a lesser option.

I agree he isn't. Shorts is putting up real good numbers and matchup is outstanding. Even though Buffalo's pass rush is picking up and the Jags have major o line issues, you can still pick on the Bills' secondary. I'd probably go with VJax because he's been so damn good this season but I wouldn't argue with anyone who went with Shorts. He's definitely playing well right now and is very productive.

I understand that there is history between Bailey and Jackson but that was when Jackson was a Charger. Bailey is great so you probably need to figure Jackson doesn't have a big game, but I don't know if I consider their past h2h's all that much.
