DA RAIDERS

Check that, I have to leave soon
Next time me and Chem X go golfing we will enjoy your food!Great times--what a day for it! Raiders I think my wife took your California culinary experiences as a challenge and she was happy to oblige! I also enjoyed kicking around ideas for the new space with cos. and Worm your girls are gorgeous! Glad y'all could come by on the day we returned to our original spot--and based on the explosion of traffic after y'all left it seems like the town was glad we were back in place too--we were really cooking until 10:00 pm. Tomorrow we'll try to clean up the construction debris and just enjoy the day; Monday it's time again to pursue the new digs!
ooof. Hope you didn't miss us--generator failed and we had to pull out at dusk. On the good side one of our last customers was a friend I used to work with and offered use of his 7200 until we reconnect with Duke Power at the new digs. So we'll be back on schedule MondayI'm heading back later today. Somewhere between 5-7? Unless my age once again stifles my desires.
great to see an update and happy it is a positive one!Sooooo much going on.....
First and foremost--business is good! Lunches are pretty much nonstop for a couple hours, dinner not so many but orders are larger and more family sized takeouts. We've got a lot of really regular traffic with a few new folks every day. One guest came through a couple weeks ago he said for the third time--it's on a bucket list for his annual trip from California!
It's all pretty intense really, still working an 8:00am to midnight clock--but it becomes a rhythm, working bite sized pieces to account for stocking and cleaning between a pretty regular service schedule. We got a surprise break today--roadwork going on in our space. Knew it was coming but not when, and only found out as I rolled up with the trailer. That'll knock out another day, maybe two.
More innabit--coupla fires to put out!
I hadn't thought of them but will look them up. We tried Self Start locally but they wanted to see more on the books. Then our home bank didn't like our books either so withdrew the equity loan offer. We are doing better with the food truck even than when I was working full time but "If it ain't in writing it ain't happening".Have you thought of a Kickstarter or GoFundMe or something? A restauranteur in my area wanted to close his B&M and do a food truck and paid for most of it that way. Maybe it can work the other way?
Well--we're still kickin'! We've moved but not so far...
I just looked at the last post and discovered that the link to Google maps actually updates--so it shows us open for business in the same spot, but when you zoom out from street view in this update you see that the Sheetz just to the north is dangerously close to completion. Well--they are now a couple months open...and did not want us next door. We got an invitation from the Advance Auto across the street in the Hampton Pointe complex--and are now parked in their lot right next to the central round-about! Nicely landscaped, clean, good parking and presentation--and the businesses complement each other so it's a win-win for both. We had ample time to advertise so it's been a pretty smooth transition!
Maybe more soon--food service is great for making friends, but can be pretty much all-consuming with long hours.
